Off Season Training Program with ARC Performance Training

All Baseball Folk,

White Rock Baseball Association and ARC Performance Training have come together to offer two separate groups that are directly influenced by Baseball Canadas LTAD Program. Chad Benson and Jordan Broatch of ARC Performance Training are now accepting registrants for Monday, Wednesday and Fridays.

This program follows a detailed off season schedule that will greatly improve your athleticism, taking your game to the next level. More details of the program (pricing, times, contact info) can be found below:

Fall & Winter Skill Programs at the Training Centre

WRSSBA is pleased to introduce Last Raps Baseball Corp. as the provider of fall & winter baseball skill programs at the training centre. Last Raps has run summer camps in South Surrey and they also have run a successful program out of UBC. All sessions will be run by a UBC baseball coach. The sessions will be on a first come/first served basis with WRSSBA players receiving priority placement. WHITE ROCK 9-YEAR OLD SELECT ALL-STARS WIN DISTRICT 3 / PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP !!!

In a somewhat bizarre title game, played on the tournament host Langley field, the 9-year old White Rock All Stars rallied for a dramatic come-from-behind victory over the Langley All-Stars to win the cherished District 3, 9 Year-Old Selects Championship by a score of 7 - 6, on late Sunday afternoon. Alen Sugimoto, Colin Driscoll and Kendall Wick combined in a gritty pitching performance, overcoming several defensive lapses to keep their team in the game. Down 6 - 2 going into the bottom of the 5th, White Rock scratched out 2 runs in their half, without benefit of a hit, and then 3 more in the bottom of the 6th to pull out the victory from the jaws of defeat.

Kole Turner had the big blow in the bottom of the 6th, a booming 2-run double that tied the game at 6 -6, and then alertly scored the game-winning run during an errant exchange between the Langley battery while they were issuing a strategic intentional pass to Trent Lenihan.

On July 8, 2012 White Rock’s Little League 12 Year Old Selects baseball team defeated North Langley in the Championship game 15-3 after going undefeated throughout the 11-12 Year Old Sea to Sky Selects Tournament held in Whistler.

SSAP to Host Baseball Competition Events for BC Summer Games – Surrey 2012!

This is shaping up to be an exciting year for baseball in White Rock/South Surrey! We will keep you posted when the BC Summer Games Baseball schedule is released so that all WRSSBA families can come out to cheer on their favourite team!

Congratulations to our own Jordan Broatch, Shayne Wilson (WRSSBA Bantam AAA Coaches) and Russ Smithson (Tritons General Manager/Head Coach) for being selected to coach the Zone 7 (Fraser Valley East) baseball team.
