After Scott goes over some basics of dice pools, buddies/contacts, and various other trivia goodies, our three brand new characters begin their first mission. You can listen in to that very mission right here. By the way, if you ever intend to play Shadowrun, you'll need MANY six-sided dice. This puny handful was not nearly enough.

Scott guides us through the creation process, making sure we are at least relatively balanced. Our group chooses three very different choices: street samurai, an adept, and a ninja Elvin Bowie.

Shadowrun Introduction

Well, we decided to take a break and try something new. Not to say we're done with 4th Edition! This time around, we've decided to take out a late 80's early 90's classic called Shadowrun. This is the 2nd Edition, or so I'm told. Scott brings Kevin, Rob and I up to speed on the lore as well as the basics for character creation. Join us, won't you?

Whew, that was close! Following what seemed like an endless zombie fight, our adventurers managed to burn the bodies. It would seem the fight left some pretty distressed, poor Barakas is officially "trembling", Ciro is "delusional" and Telia is "sluggish". Huddled together in the damp and dark, odd shadows watch from the forest.

The next day, a river stops everyone in their tracks. Luckily, Telia is an Olympic level athlete and Ciro is light! Guess who is waiting for us on the other side...

You guessed it! The shadows that previously watched our sleeping heroes have increased in number and are lying in wait on the other side of the river. It would seem this endless barrage of enemies and obstacles will make quick work of the team!

Just as the shadow-jerks drop and the forest begins to thin out, a road appears with a solitary figure. He seems to want something from us. Whatever could it be? Tune in to find out!

Well well well. Our "intrepid adventurers" have arrived in the Shadowfell and are immediately faced with an intriguing cottage farm house. Its warm, welcoming interior is a sharp contrast to the chilly, emptiness of the surrounding land.

The brave adventurers managed to kill four powerful ogres with a little help from their friends the Half-orcs. Time to raid their lair then proceed to Enlast! Considering the bad guys this session, it seems like the Raven Queen might have her hand in this situation somehow... How, you ask? Listen here to find out!

New year, new campaign! Well, this is actually the original, which was paused for the epic level 27.

It's late fall when the parents of Barakas Fel, a Tiefling bard, ask their son to leave Harken village to retrieve an item for their uncle in Fallcrest which has not yet arrived. Barakas picks up three friends for the trip:
Telia, a half-orc barbarian, who was adopted by farmers when her parents were killed on the Howling plains.
Thorn, a shifter warden, who lived in the woods near elves.
Ciro, a goblin rogue, who suddenly arrives in the village having just left Fallcrest.

For such a simple mission, the difficulties were numerous. After helping elves, the group run into peril with hobgoblins, spectres of some sort (kindly referred to as the golden squirrels), and other baddies, it is decided that the box is too dangerous to give to the uncle to sell. Travel to Fallcrest was met with more danger as the grandmother and parents of Barakas are hunted. Giant spiders, an angry and powerful Tiefling female, Ciro's past, and Shadowkin all try to take our heroes down. In Fallcrest the group adds another, Alston, a gnome wizard. The extra firepower is appreciated!

The box is safely stored in a vault during the fake-box transaction between uncle Neromar and Cirit, the meat puppet. Thorn and Telia meet Alston outside while Barakas tries to explain the situation to his uncle. Meanwhile Ciro tries to uncover information about Cirit and seems to get nowhere with him. After the transaction, all spy on Cirit who seems to sit motionless in his dark room. Cirit then disappears! This spells danger!

The next day the real box is retrieved and a dampener is put around it to try to keep baddies at bay while the group seeks a professional to help.

Kabuto says, "Listen in as the group do their best to make it to Enlast!"

In the first of four sessions, GM-Scott sent the group into the astral sea to Gambler's Heaven, run by Otho the beholder. Otho owes a favor or two, but the group's vacation time is cut short when a giant citadel comes crashing towards Gambler's Heaven. It appears Githyanki pirates are battling some dwarves. Otho's brutes, as well as the group, rush in to try to control the hurling citadel. After defeating the pirates and their dragons, our heroes are made aware of some unusual activity within the "ship". Much to their surprise, it is not a ship but the husk of a long dead primordial. Bob the Dwarven paladin exarch begrudgingly informs the group of what they are up against. Everyone rushes to find the helm where the husk-ship can be controlled before it slams into the quickly approaching Celestian towers, Moradin's general territory. However, the saving measures are inhibited by numerous enemy obstacles.
