Bacon and Eggs

It would seem it's time for another post as my face looks like bacon and eggs again.

I will start with Moose and Trina's wedding or what I remember from it at least. It was at St Charles Golf Club with an out door ceremony under the hoopa. Moose cried a little, Trina looked great and I was hammered before dinner even started. Lenore(the waitress) just kept hovering around and filling my wine glass over and over and over again. So much so I even drank a cup of coffee at diner to sober up a bit. Not a big fan of the liquid bean but I figured it was that or pass out on the bathroom floor bye 9:00. Our table really enjoyed Partridge's speech which was 90% just talking about Moose's balls, or ball I should say. We could not stop laughing our asses off. Ang got the only pic of Moose up on the chair before he broke it. Pic to come soon, Ben rode his pony to Genuine. All and all it was a good party and congrats to the happy couple.

Ryan is almost 9 months old now and most likely the reason I haven't posted in a while. She started crawling about a month ago and is super fast and supper strong. She is starting to stand on her own and is getting big. Time flies.

Upcoming events:

Going to Pearl Jam (don't remember asking Bob to get me a ticket, but I did want to go)

Golf league is starting soon

Invited my family out to Todd's Cabin (hope he's ok with it)

PS Not really sure if Moose cried at the wedding but I'm pretty sure he wanted to.

Well the first 6 weeks have been quite different then the last 32 years of our lives. In a good way. Ryan is doing very well and getting bigger every day. She is 11 lbs and is staying up all hours and not caring if mom gets any sleep. I guess it's to be expected but tell that to a new mom on no sleep. Good times. If you want to come by and ''see the baby'' just give us a shout.

What else is going on?

-golf season is over

-hockey season has started

-work is busy

-I'm boring

-really need to get drunk

-wish I had a gun to shoot pumpkins

-or to hunt polar bears

-watching Baby Santa's Music Box. Terrible.

I'm think the only real problem I can see with being a parent is the children's TV shows. I'm not looking forward to the next 5 years or so of such classics as:

-Barney

-Blues Clues

-Dora The Explorer

-Diego

All equally as terrible and can't stand them all. Thats all I got.

Well I will start with the big news that Ang is pregnant. If we haven't told you yet now you know. Every thing is going well and Ang is feeling alright so good news all round.

In other news the Shockers made the Labatt Sterling final for the Third strait season only to lose for the second strait season. A bit disappointing but a good season anyway. Looking forward to getting a ton more golf in this season. I picked up a membership at Transcona, so if anyone want to get out and play give me a shout. Our golf league is also starting this week (if we don't get rained out) so lots of golf for the summer.

Marsh, Marco, Kareen and Ben have all been in town in the last couple of months and I have to say I have never done so many shots of Bushmills in my life. Had a good night at the King's Head and took in a Moose game. Good time. Well hopefully I can shake the bloggers block and post more than every 5 months but thats all I got for now.

Well I think it fitting using a Lionel quote since I haven't blogged in a long time. Quite a bit has been going on in the past few months, so here it goes.

Trip to Calgary/Spray Lake

We head out in August to visit Steve and Nat to do some camping in the mountains and some golfing, and I have to say Spray Lake is awesome. You basically have to drive up the side of a cliff to get there but it is worth it. Lots of beers and a few run ins with mountain goats and prairie dogs (mountain dogs?) made for a good time. You should check it out if you are in the Canmore area.

Music

I have been to a few shows in the last few months. We went to the Metallica show a couple of weeks ago at the MTS Center. the show was pretty good, but I do have a few complaints. First the lame 80's lazer show for the first song. Why? It was pitch black in there and all you could see was lazers. You couldn't even see the band. The second is the lame beech balls falling from the ceiling during Seek and Destroy the last song of the night. What the hell do beech balls have to do with a metal show? On a none complaining note the opening band was Lamb of God. Bobby and I like their old name Burn the Priest better. Either way they kicked ass. If you have ever seen them live you would know they are from Richmond mother f$%#ing Virginia and worth checking out. I also seen Mad Caddies on Monday at my favorite venue in the Peg the Pyramid. We went to BP's for a few beers before the show to watch Monday Night Football and who was a few tables over? Thats right the Mad Caddies. A little unusual because they were not super drunk as normal. They put on a really good show. Up coming show to see in the Peg is Hatebreed with Unearth.

Sports

Since my last post golf season has ended and hockey season has begun to the disappointment of my fat gut. Just when you think hey I can't be in much worse shape than last season, you step on the ice and after about 12 mins you look at the clock and say holy shit I'm about to puke, and there is still 48 mins to go. that being said the Shockers are doing well and as fat as ever. If you have never seen us play, we are very consistent. We'll win 8-1 and 8-1 and then loose 6-1. It's good fat slow hockey. Good times.

Well last but not least I want to say congrats to Todd and Suzan. They got married on Saturday. It was a good time had by all.

Holidays finally

I need to start by saying Machine Head is one of the best live bands I have ever seen. They started the biggest circle pit I have ever seen indoors. It went from one side of the MTS Center to the other, it was awesome. Slayer and Megadeth were also pretty good.

Summer has been crapy so far as far as weather goes, but I have been golfing a lot. The high light so far has been Falcon Lake. I know Pfief has mentioned it already but I have to say it is the best course I have ever played. Love the layout and it is in the best shape I have ever seen a golf course.

Me and Ang are heading out to Calgary and Canmore for a little holiday on Saturday, should be a good time. Camping, golfing, drinking, eating, drinking, golfing and drinking are all on the itinerary for the week so I will keep you posted on Marsh's campfire reflections. I think we are golfing Canmore and it looks really nice. I would put up the link but I going to be honest, I don't know how. Haha. Find it yourself suckas. Maybe Marsh will give me a lesson when we are in Calgs.

New Nerd In Town

Well I have to say I never thought I would be doing this but here I am anyway. I'll start with the best concert of the year I hope. Slayer, Megadeth and Machine Head are coming to Winnipeg on Monday. Can't wait for that being the metal head that I am. I think Bobby is equally as pumped.

In other news I just finished redoing my bathroom (total gut) and it's lookin pretty good. New jet tub, tile, vanity, toilet you name in it's new. Now I just have a million other things to change around the house. Just need a little more time and a lot more money, so if anyone in the Winnipeg area needs a plumber give me a shout.

Golf is goin pretty well so far. Played with Bobby in week 5 and came in second with a 94. Whit 42 Bobby 52. Beilner and Ross took the week with a 93. Well done.

Well I hope this is enough for my first blog ever? Nerd out.
