Volcano disrupts airtravel

For almost a week now there is little to no air travel possible in Europe. A volcano in Iceland is causing trouble in the atmosphere. Making it unsafe to fly. A lot of people are stranded at there destination waiting for word to get back in the air and fly home. As of now there is no estimate on when flying will be possible again. The volcano is still spewing out volcanic ashes.

Springbreak

Well Spring break is almost over so the kids are going to back to school on Monday. And it seems that the weather knows that it is back to school time. It was bad most of the week and it will only get better on monday again.

All the animals love that spring has finally come in to the air. They love to be outside. Even if it rains. The pups have grown a lot since the last time. They still bite everything they come across. lots of wires have been chewed to death. They can annoy us at times but at other times they are just the most adorable animals on the planet.

Snow again

Yeah we are getting about 6 inches of snow today and tomorrow. Oh joyous snow not. The only living beings that love the snow in this house have 4 legs. They eat it too and roll around in it.

Even Bonnie, one of the our pups, loves it already and licks it to death.

On another note, my son just got brought home because of trouble with his stomach. And he is not one of the type that complains a lot. So for him to be wanting to come home is a big deal.

"AA" meetings for failed businesses

Yes you heard it correctly. This a new thing happening now. Meetings where business owners go to after there business went bankrupt and out of business. They can do that anonymously of course.

When they come together they talk about everything what happened to their business and they call discuss how they can try and prevent it from happening again when they start a new business. Even known that some started one together after they met at the AA business meeting.

I think it is a great idea. Must set something up like that here!. I think it would work well in my part of the Country.

I just visited their website and they claim that it works in a lot of countries and that you can watch over 1000 Channels. The website is not done well it lacks professionalism. I would not want to spend 39.95 on a company with a website like that.

There are a few things I would like to know first before i would even consider putting money in to the endeavor. What channels to I all get is the biggest one and if it is live TV or just videos that are already available on the internet? cause if that is the case i will just go to the broadcasters website and look. There are ways to do that for less then 39.95 for a piece of software.

Also lacking is some screen shots of the program and a in dept explanation on how it works. I cannot imagine that any of the major networks would give them any rights or what so ever to their shows.

One thing I know for sure iss that soccer matches are never broadcasted over the internet willy nilly just to every one. You will either need to have an Internet connection in the country where the game is being played or you will have to pay for it online to be able to watch it.

I would think long and hard before actually buying some software when you can view most off the stuff for free on Hulu or on the broadcasters website them selfs.

What happened to Innocent till proven guilty? it seems now a days you can accuse people of something without even providing one shred of evidence backing up your claims?

I'm talking here about the the so called 'Tape" that exists of Sen Edwards and his mistress whom he has a baby girl with. Not saying that the accusations aren't true or that they are true. just stating a fact that it seems you can just say anything and the media take it over as truth.

In the olden days without Internet this was not even thought of of doing to another person. It might not be most rightious persons in the world but a little respect would be in place.

I say let Andrew young show his evidence that he has. Why does he want this to come out now if there is indeed a tape? He always was on the Senators side. I smell something fishy going on here.

Firefox 3.6

Upgraded to the newest version of the fox, and up till now all running smoothly still. Love the new Persona's addition to the fox. These were called themes up to 3.5.7. And now themes is a separate thing within the Fox. I'm impressed with it. Now must see how it works with my work stuff and all.

The Dog and the Stove!

To follow up on an earlier post about the dog and stove. She is a big dog a mix between a lab and a sharpei. Besides having breathing problems and Skin problems she is the nicest dog you will ever meet.
She is however like carpet decor and a new mommy at the age of 6 years old. She has 4 puppies all healthy and doing well

Yes, you heard it correctly we nearly died. It seems that our dog now has learned to turn on the stove. We have absolutely no idea how she did it cause it takes some work to get the gas stove running.

Cable Company

Our Cable company is weird to say the least. Due to an error we lost connection briefly this morning. So i called them up to ask what was going on and to fix it. First you go through all of the legal mumbo jumbo before you actually get to speak to a person. When you finally do you will need to tell them almost everything except what color underwear you are wearing before they will help you.

This morning was a new addition apparently, now only the account holder can, tell them to switch the cable box back on. And that I should be registered should be added so I can authorize things on the account.

After dealing with the person i hung up and called again. And guess what the box was being turned on by the person without asking me if i was authorized to do so.

Facebook games and applications.

Now we all know Facebook( I hope) and what it is. It also has games and/or applications on there. Most of them are games granted but some actually have people employed via facebook and work via the website.

I use to work for a company like that although it was a short time. In those like 3 days i made over $40US and was indeed paid by them to my paypal. Because of somethings that happened I was and am unable to continue to work for them.

Another part is the massive amount of games that have shown up over the past few month on basically any social networking sites. Only thing i do not like about it is this.

If you have 1 farm game you have them all! Well sort of but the basic idea is still the same. Get some variety in the games! It seems they all like to copy eachother. Come out with something completely different.

I might have lied a little bit there is a company that makes those games that actually got it right. a company called Hive7 came up with some brilliant games that none of the other major players have. They have like a Soccer game (or Football game if you are anywhere else in the world, then the US). You play it with your friends being the players in the team. They will have to sign up too to be able to progress further then just level 7, I believe. But the idea is great and I love to play it.

I might even have played a game against you you never know.

I have been thinking about this now for a little bit as I had no real idea where to go with this blog. But now I think I will make it into some sort of technology blog.

No idea how I am going to do that but I am sure that some sort of compromise will be made.

Not good at bloggin

It seems that i am not that good at this blogging thing. As i again did not post any blog post for almost a year. Will have to change that. I can not promise anything but I will try to anyway.

A lot of things have happened. We have now an extension to the family coming. Yes you heard it right. We are getting a grandchild. A grand daughter according to the doctor it is sure for 99.9%.

That is not the only family extension that we have going on. We also got 4 puppies that came in the family.

Will write some more in a little bit.

Weird Questions

My wife and I both work for a company that answers questions that people ask via either via Phone, email or text-message. Now most questions are questions you can answer easily. Others are way out there and of course you get the sexual questions too.

Some of the weird questions that i came across are not very suitable for this blog without a warning notice. So I am not putting those kinds up.

One of them that I got today was What Kind of Dinosaur is Barney? Now how do you answer a question like that. I answered it as he is purple and lovely.

If you think they are just a few questions per day that you get like that well then you are wrong. especially at night they get worse. Or when school vacations are then you get a bunch of those too. Some are just too funny and you can;t hold in your laughter. the funny ones my wife and I, IM to each other. Just so to let the other one know what weird questions we are getting.

Almost back to normal

Just like the title says. Life is getting almost back to normal now after the holiday's. Kids will be going back to school on Monday. And they probably have Tuesday and Wednesday off already because of ice storms.

We still have the Christmas stuff all still up. Have not yet started to take that down and return it to the people we borrowed it from. Yeah i know sounds weird but it is a fake tree and our tree, and all our other stuff for that matter, is still in storage. Our Storage is not very close by to us so getting stuff in and out of storage is a costly thing to do.

My Brother in Law who is a truck driver told us that when spring is here we will go and get our stuff with his semi. Wonder how is is going to maneuver to the house. cause our street is not that easily accessible. But i am sure he will find a way.
