5/20/2009 - Algebra II Now Offered in Summer School

We are offering the opportunity for approved students to take Algebra II in summer school for students who have NOT taken this course for credit before. If you are interested in taking Algebra II for new work this summer, please pick up a summer school form in the office and then go see your counselor this week. Only students who have an "A" in their current math class may consider taking this accelerated math class.

5/20/2009 - Chaps Baseball Stomps San Antonio Clark!

Chap baseball advanced to the Regional Quarter Finals by defeating San Antonio Clark 5-3 last night. The Chaps will take on Smithson Valley Friday, 5/22, 6pm at Texas State and Saturday, 5/23 at noon. Go Chaps!!

5/19/2009 - 1st Spring Football Game 5/22!!

The 1st Annual Red vs Blue Spring Football Game will be held at the WHS Stadium @ 5:30pm on May 22nd. Shirts will be sold for $15 in the Chaps Court 5/19-5/21, during the lunch hours and after school. Come early, wear Red.....It's Rally Time!! Go Chaps!!

5/18/2009 - Girls Golf Places 5th in State Tournament

The Chap girls golf team was in the thick of things until the last few holes of the State 5A golf tournament, and just finished out of the medals in 5th place. Congratulations to the girls for their incredible season!

5/18/2009 - Chaps Boys Win 5A State Championship!!

The Westlake Boys' Golf team won the 2009 Class 5A State Championship played last Thursday and Friday. The team set a new State record compiling a 2-day total of 1 under par 575. They are the only team to ever finish under par as a team at Jimmy Clay Golf Course. Their Thursday team toal was 282 which is 6 under par and shattered the old State record by 7 shots for one round. Congratulations!

5/18/2009 - Westlake Gets Top Honors at Skill Point Alliance!

Westlake students swept top honors at Skill Point Alliance's 2009 Digital Mulitmedia Exchange! All gold, silver and bronze medalist teams were awarded scholarships for their efforts. Congratulations to all!

5/15/2009 - NHS Members - Pick Up Your Stole!

If you have paid your dues and have fulfilled your service hour requirement, come pick up your graduation stole Tuesday, 5/19 in the Chap Room before school. Or you may go to Ms. Orrick's room, 9.204, before or after school on Tuesday and Thursday.

5/12/2009 - Want To Be An Officer For Mu Alpha Theta?

Any Mu Alpha Theta member interested in being an officer next year should go to Mr. Witowski's school website to review the instructions and requirements.

5/11/2009 - Parking Permits 2009-2010 School Year

Current Juniors and Sophomores : Parking permits for the 2009-2010 school year will be sold beginning in May this year. Senior permits will be sold beginning May 18th, and through the summer; Junior permits will be sold beginning May 26th. Only 200 junior permits will be sold initially, at which point sales for junior permits will be suspended until Packet Pickup in the Fall. Permits may be purchased in the reception office of the high school for $125. The Westlake High School Parking Agreement must be completed to purchase a permit. This Parking Agreement may be picked up at the reception office or found on the main page of the WHS website. ALL PAPERWORK MUST BE COMPLETE, WITH A VALID TEXAS DRIVER'S LICENSE AND PROOF OF INSURANCE ON THE DRIVER AND VEHICLE BEFORE A PERMIT WILL BE SOLD.

5/06/2009 - Order Your Yearbook!!

Bought your yearbook yet? If not, you can still order one in Rm. 908. Right now, the cost is $70, but it goes up to $75 on 5/12. After distribution, prices go up to $85, so don't wait!!
