Review Of the Infamous V-Steam

2015-10-15T18:08:00.001-07:00

As one with a curiosity in holistic and indigenous practices, I decided to try out the Ancient Traditional Method of Vaginal Steaming. It is believed to relieve cramps, infertility, stimulate and balance chi, and promote circulation. There is only one place on record (as I have researched) in NYC that offers this service called Juvenex spa in Korea Town. I took a trip today and was delighted by all the stores along the strip of 32st street with Korean delicacies. The Spa Employees were very personable and sweet to me. They directed me to my personal locker and gave me my robe and sandals. I was asked if I wanted to sit in the sauna for about 5 minutes prior to the V-Steam while awaiting the preparation of herbs.

The Juvenex Spa is lavishly decorated and set up in a cave- like location; a stone sauna and rock theme almost all around. Either way the atmosphere is tranquil and inviting. As I sat down on a wooden chair (Towels were there of Course) the steam hit me! I fidgeted around to get comfortable and adjust my V accordingly. However, I must say that it was too hot at first so they adjusted it for me. Upon the steam hitting my V, I felt a feeling of lightness from the abdominal region downward. It was relaxing and it took away the heavy pressure feeling many of us women have on our bladders after bearing children. A feeling of release and lightness indeed it was. My Spa host Joy spoke to me most of the time and even recommended where I can get good cucumber kimchi from. She was very delightful and friendly.
Moving Forward: I monitored how I felt throughout the day and I felt uplifted, light, and in touch with my femininity. I recommend this for women who are facing hormonal imbalances, premenstrual symptoms, and blocked sacral chakras.

Taurus, Libra, The Planet Venus and Music

2014-12-04T21:59:00.000-08:00

Just a quick thought,

As i watch Sam Smith, i get the shivers while he sings; naturally i want to know his sun sign. I find that he is a TAURUS. While from the very beginning I always said that he was like the male adele. (Adele is also a taurus).
Though not always inclined to have superior vocal talents, taurus and libra, whose ruling planet governs music, beauty, and all things artistic; will always vibe well and resonate with the arts and music.
Also, depending on the personal chart they will likely have the vocal ability present to express what they intrinsically feel through music and artistic endeavors. It is not surprising to me that the most soulful singers and entertainers usually are libras or taurus, or have strong venus influence in their charts.

Earth Signs and Exes

2014-11-10T06:52:00.000-08:00

I've noticed a common theme among earth sign individuals and their ability to stay connected with their exes. I don't know if its a need to stay grounded (get it earth+ground) or their need for security. In addition to having a Virgo mother and other important relationships with earth signs, I've come to realize that they remain friends (long term even) with their exes. Some exes truly remain platonic for them while they keep others around for the possibilities. Either way, pay attention to the earth signs in your life that is Virgo, Capricorn, and Taurus. See if you notice a trend with them staying friends with old lovers or notice their inability to let go... Its interesting...

FAGE FRUIT SMOOTHIE

2014-11-05T08:03:00.000-08:00

Cool smoothie recipe with Fage Greek yogurt and frozen fruits. I usually add bananas for some sweetness but this time i will just use a tad bit of this new healthy juice from Tropicana. Use a few scoops of Fage Greek yogurt ( i use 2% you can use any you'd like), frozen fruits of your choice (packaged or frozen on your own), water or a healthy juice of your choosing.

Tip: Peel bananas, cut and freeze in your favorite zip lock bag to use for smoothies. Bananas always add a special sweetness to your smoothie regardless of the other fruits you may choose to mix it with.

Love to all.

P.S I'll do another blog on choosing good wines as you can see in the background i only drink Italian imported wines and Bolla is my wine of choice. Quality above all else... #knowyourwineselection

GANSO JAPANESE BRAISED BEEF RAMEN REVIEW

2014-10-31T10:36:00.000-07:00

So if you know me, you would know that i am a complete foodie. I love trying new recipes, restaurants, and enjoy cooking. This is something new i have been craving a lot lately from Ganso a Japanese restaurant in Brooklyn, NY. Of course i cant get it all the time because parking is a complete bitch in downtown Brooklyn however, this dish is AMAZING!!!. Known as Japanese street style food, this is a delectable braised beef ramen dish with a thick gravy that is to die for. (be careful if you order it to go it may leak out the container). Ask them to pack it in the more traditional container as opposed to the to go bowl its not that sturdy. Anyways, to say the least this dish is addictive and leaves you wanting more. Also try the Gyoza dumplings as a starter they are awesome as well.

I must say that i received a great deal of push and inspiration from a young man who created my page banner yesterday. An Aries who by Cardinal nature initiates and starts projects. The push and initiative that cardinal signs display as the leaders of the zodiac (Cardinal Signs are Aries, Cancer,Libra, And Capricorn) is what can be seen as responsible for some of the many great ideas and grassroot concepts of the world. Check him out... A truly talented and creative brother..

Do your research first before you judge... Its the logical thing to do- Libra Love J

2014-10-12T08:58:00.002-07:00

I always tell beginners that their astrological sun sign should not be used as single determinant of their horoscope or personality. We have an ascendant sign, moon sign, venus sign, mars sign and plenty of other astrological placements at the time of our birth that give insight beyond your mundane Sun sign. You cant say that you cannot relate to astrology or any other subject in life for that matter before you have done your research. It is important to pull what you can out of any given subject in life and apply what you see as truth or fitting for yourself on an individual level. Therefore, there will be things you agree and dont agree with. Things you find to be true and other things not so much. When you have time visit http://www.astrotheme.com/horoscope_chart_sign_ascendant.php and type in the details of your birth. Learn about apects and placements that are a little more individual in there interpretations of you. And if you need help interpreting something please dont hesitate to email me questions.

You may be amazed at what you find.
Sincerely,
Libra Love J.

Retrogrades are gone Jupiter is in Leo

2014-08-15T09:42:00.002-07:00

In the past year there have been major planets in retrograde that have stopped our shine, caused turmoil and delayed progress. As Jupiter has gone into Leo and will remain there until august 2015, I have began to feel the benefits and positivity of this new phase. Old belief systems are in the shredder and hearts are beginning to open...

Venus in Aries

2014-05-26T10:39:00.001-07:00

I started to take a look at my relationships and those that have had a major significance or importance in my life. (Love relationships that is). I found that the men that I was most attracted to or that I had the most trouble in relationships with were men with Venus in Aries. Venus is in its detriment when it is in Aries or Scorpio. Venus is not comfortable in Aries or Scorpio, but I believe that with the amount of struggles that those with this placement have endured throughout their lives in matters of love and relationships, they tend to have the ability to give a deep passionate love that many people long to have. Something told me to look up my fathers Venus sign as he is deceased and as we all know the first man a woman loves; and guess what I found? His Venus was in ARIES! Isn't that something. I guess there is a pattern somewhere here and I find out new discoveries everyday.

Mars has been in Libra for the first portion of this year. Although, I have been reading many Youtube variations and perspectives on this planetary transit; I must admit that it is not personalized. The experiences I have been through during this transit have been horrific to say the least. Optimism gets me through the rough patches, but ive received one blow after another during this time period. While Mars went direct this past week around (may 19th, 2014); I still have not seen any positive changes. Then Mercury will go retrograde during the first week in june which really doesn't have me too optimistic about anything after suffering the ripple effects of what ive been going through with Mars in Libra. The last thing I need is for mercury to go retrograde with some of my strongest planets in air signs and the realm of communications! ugh so over 2014.

Integration continues...

2012-11-30T16:20:00.000-08:00

hey guys!

I started this blog in an attempt to make real life connections with zodiac signs. This will always be inherent in me. However, it’s important to note that with all things I will use an integrative approach. As a Psych Major, it is my duty to incorporate many perspectives in my method to be wholesome and effective in my delivery or approach. In psychology we just don’t study Freud and psychoanalysis; we merge cognitive, behavioral, humanistic, biological, and many more approaches to better understand and treat the human race. I believe the same holds true for astrology. In astrology, we do more than just read our daily horoscopes. For the beginner, you should know that your zodiac sign does not encompass you completely rather; it is the first glimpse into a whole non-simplistic realm of you. Stay Tuned....

End of the year TO DO LIST...

2011-11-09T15:58:00.000-08:00

As you all may know we are approaching the end of the year. What first comes to mind is the Holiday season, however with this comes a lot of change and a walk toward more serious aspects of life. Preparation for the new year includes goals, success, and rigid dedication. Lets face it we are all looking forward to the fact that we can relax with our families, have a mini vacation, and indulge in glorious foods. But somewhere lingering in the back of our mind are thoughts like: What will be my new years resolution, Do i need a career change, OMG I'm going to be a year older soon! My best advice is that time waits on NO ONE! Start planning now. If there are important deadlines to meet start working on them. Create a list of all your goals and the steps you need to reach them. (and don't ignore this list and toss it to the side) Personally i would feel inadequate if i created any TO DO LIST that i knew i would never put to use. (even if its a grocery shopping list)
As you are working toward your goals cross out each thing you did in effort toward it. I trust that each day you will feel a sense of accomplishment when you have a ~~line~~ marked through a task you've already met.

LIBRANS Goal

2011-10-26T13:15:00.000-07:00

My Friend sent me this today from an app she downloaded. I found it to be very true >>>

Librans accomplish things because they intellectually evaluate what needs to be done, then they charm others into cooperating to achieve the goal. By unselfishly sharing the success of their accomplishments with those who have assisted them, Librans nurture the cooperative efforts of others. They have to learn how to deal with confrontation. Their fear of hurting others and also of hostile situations can keep them from reaching their goals.

Is the Taurus man slow to commit?

2011-10-14T23:41:00.000-07:00

You bet! Lets disregard the usual assumption that Taurus men are partners for life and that they are so committed. Forget everything you have heard about this man who wants nothing more than romance and a long steady relationship. The truth is Taurus men take their time with commitment. The claims that they are long lasting partners and in it for the long haul only comes after years of taking their sweet precious time to commit. Ive seen it with many of taureans. Long time spouses of friends, acquaintances and from personal experience. If you've ever heard the saying that men are like dogs, you have to train them; well you have indeed met a Taurus man. I say this because we already have the knowledge that taureans are stubborn, so getting this man to the alter is going to take a great deal of training and effort. Take everything you've heard and put a big fat X on it. This is the man you shack up with for years before ever getting married. That is if you have the patience to wait around that long.

Saturn in libra

2011-06-17T11:56:00.000-07:00

Saturn is now in Libra and upon reading about this exaltation i realized how much it has related to my very own life. ( My sun being in Libra as well as my ascendant)

This is a good link about saturn in libra and its influence. Saturn is in libra right now and it struck me because there has been a real emphasis currently in my life about working out relationships with people.
