'1001 jucării pentru copii'

La acest proiect peste 11 voluntari din cadrul firmei Cylex s-au alaturat celor de la Love-Bihor si au cusut peste 200 de jucării. Totul a inceput mai timid, deoarece a durat un pic pana am invatat cum se confectioneaza fiecare model de jucarie. Insa cu trecerea fiecarui an numarul de jucarii cusute manual de fete a inceput sa creasca semnificativ.

An de an asociatia are ca scop confectionarea a cel putin 1.001 jucarii pentru copii.
Destinatarii acestor jucarii sunt copii cu dizabilitati, cei proveniti din familii nevoiase, cei aflati în spital sau cei care locuiesc în mediul rural. Desigur, nu doar micutii din Bihor au parte de aceste cadouri, o parte din jucariile confectionate ajung si in alte parti din Romania.

Fetele de la Cylex se apuca de cusut in fiecare an prin luna noiembrie. Astfel incercam ca pana in luna decembrie sa realizam cat mai multe jucarii cusute manual.
Unele fete cos in timpul pauzelor de la lucru, altele prefera sa isi duca acasa, insa indiferent unde o fac, fiecare persoana lucreaza cu multa daruire si cu foarte mare atentie.

„1001 jucării pentru copii” este un proiect de suflet, care pe langa faptul ca aduce multa bucurie copiilor, pe noi ne ajuta sa ne relaxam si sa mai invatam ceva nou in fiecare an. Este un proiect care ne aduce an de an:

multe zambete
multe minute de voluntariat
multa daruire
multe momente frumoase
multe, multe, multe clipe memorabile

5 TIPS ON HOW TO BE A BETTER TEAM LEADER

Being a team leader is not easy. No matter the size of the team, problems will occur.

Let’s consider a few points that could help you optimize your leadership skills in the future:

1. Accept that you still have much to learn

Don't be ashamed to admit that you don't have an answer for everything.
There were moments when I had to work on a new project and in the middle of the project something unexpected happened. For me, this is something which happens quite frequently. So, what to do now? You've stumbled on a problem and you don't see any solutions on how to fix it. Try to calm down, rearrange your thoughts, do a brainstorming session if needed, bring in your team and try together to come up with a solution. If at the end of the day you still haven't come up with a solution go home, tomorrow is another day. Try the next day to repeat the steps of the project till the moment you got stuck. If you still can't find a solution to fix it, then try to find one to go around it. I'm sure that in the end, you will manage to finish your project.

2. Try to be a positive role model

As a leader, your actions are always on display. You set the tone for what is appropriate or not. Always try to act the way you want your team to act like.

I know that sometimes is very hard to stay positive and sometimes we all fail but the next day try to start all over again and do better than yesterday. Admit when you are wrong, it's hard, I know it, but by doing so, you show your human side which will help you gain the respect of your colleagues and customers alike.

3. Share the credit

Successful projects should always be shared with the team. To recognize success can be very powerful. It brings fulfilment because it reinforces the meaning of one’s hard work. When you show your respect to one’s achievement, you are likely to boost his/her esteem - the second highest needs of a person in Maslow’s hierarchy. It helps build a sense of solidarity and a strong identity for the whole team.

4. Communicate and try to be approachable

Strive to make your teammates feel that they can talk to you openly about anything work-related or not. Give them your attention. When they speak to you about a problem, try to make eye contact and always keep an open mind. Maintain the confidentially of the conversation because is the only way you can build trust.

Define clear priorities for success, team members can wind up working at cross-purposes, leading to frustration, stress, which reduces teamwork effectiveness. Breaking large tasks into multiple small tasks helps you estimate them more accurately. If difficulties or misunderstandings occur, try to address them quickly. If the communication is verbal, the tone of voice can influence interpretation. Speak calmly and effectively.

5. Know your team

I always like to know the persons I'm working with. You can organize small getaways outside the firm: go for a movie, play some games or simply go out for a drink. Ask about their families or what they like to do in their spare time. By doing this, you will show them that you care about them and that you don't consider them just another name on the company payroll. When you feel that the place you are working in is like a 'home' and your coworkers become more like a 'family', then working together will be a pleasure.

These tips are just the breakthrough of what it means to be a good leader.

Being a great leader ain't easy but you can start by considering these tips when upping your leadership game.

Let me share with you a simple dialogue that touched my heart.

Sara: You know those days when the pain is unbearable and you think everything and everyone is against you?

Hope: Yes, I know the feeling.

Sara: Today was mine.

Hope: I'm so sorry!

Sara: Let me finish. At one moment, when the pain was unbearable, I've closed my eyes. Then I've felt a hand touching my shoulder. You didn't say anything but just squeezed my shoulder, to let me know you are present. At first my eyes started to cry for a second, but the next second that simple gesture gave me strength.
I don't know how this simple gesture made me recover my strength, but I wish everyone can have a friend like you in their live. Thank you!

The moral: Sometimes just being there for someone without even saying a word can make a huge difference. Support each other!

Aş dori să împărtăşesc cu voi un dialog simplu, care mi-a ajuns la inimă.

Sara: Ştii acele zile, când durerea este insuportabilă şi ai impresia că toți şi toate sunt împotriva ta?

Hope: Da, ştiu senzația.

Sara: Azi a fost aşa pentru mine.

Hope: Îmi pare rău!

Sara: Lasă-mă să termin. La un moment dat, când durerea era foarte mare, am închis ochii. Dintr-o dată am simțit o mână care mă strângea uşor de umăr. Nu ai zis nimic, doar mă strângeai uşor de umăr, ca să ştiu că eşti acolo pentru mine. Inițial ochii mi-au lăcrimat pentru o secundă, însă în secunda doi am simțit cum gestul tău îmi dă putere. Nici acum nu îmi dau seama cum un simplu gest ca şi acesta m-a ajutat să îmi recapăt puterea, dar sper ca fiecare persoană să aibă parte de cineva ca tine. Mulțumesc!

Morala: Câteodată, doar să fii alături de cineva, fără să zici nimic, poate face o mare diferență. Fiți acolo unul pentru altul! Sprijiniți-vă!

MĂRŢIŞOARE PENTRU LOVE-BIHOR

Un proiect creativ şi relaxant, realizat împreună cu 9 fete creative, în pauzele de la lucru şi în timpul liber de acasă. Prin acest proiect dorim să aducem primăvara în cât mai mulţi ochișori de copii talentaţi și isteţi, dar cu posibilităţi materiale extrem de fragile, chiar insuficiente, de ale căror tabere se ocupă cei de la asociaţia Love-Bihor.

Love-Bihor este o asociaţie care oferă ajutor copiilor aflaţi temporar în dificultate.
Ei au dezvoltat o serie de activităţi care răspund nevoilor specifice copiilor, activități de tip educativ și recreativ precum și tabere care cuprind ambele.
Proiectul în care noi ne-am implicat, constă în realizarea manuală de mărţişoare care apoi urmează a fi valorificate.

Cu banii strânşi sperăm să ajutăm măcar 1-2 copii să aibă asigurat tot ce le trebuie pentru a putea merge în taberele organizate şi în acest an de cei de la Love-Bihor. Astfel, împreună cu minunatele mele colege, am decis la începutul lunii februarie să pornim în această aventură.

Până în momentul de faţă am reuşit să realizăm peste 300 de marţişoare atât prin tehnica şerveţelului cât şi pictate manual. Trebuie să vă mărturisesc că nici măcar nu mi-a trecut prin cap cât pot fi de talentate fetele. Dovada o aveţi în pozele de mai jos. Împreună cu 9 fete harnice şi creative, şi anume, Anita Kaloczki, Amalia Chişe, Andreia Bârzan Farcaş, Brigitta Cservid, Andrada Opriş, Szilagyi Annamária, Nadia Tătar, Anita Varga şi eu, Mariana Martin, am reuşit să adunăm în 10 zile suma de 450 RON.

Suntem dispuse să facem şi la cerere mărţişoare deoarece ne dorim să aducem primăvara în cât mai mulţi ochișori de copii talentaţi. Aşa că, dacă doriţi să vă implicaţi alături de noi în acest proiect vă rog să îmi scrieţi mie sau colegelor mele dacă le cunoaşteţi.

Am dori să limităm acest proiect la Oradea, deoarece ar fi prea costisitor să trimitem prin poştă câte un marţişor care costă de la 2 RON în sus.
Pentru cei care doresc să contribuie preţul mărţişoarelor este în felul următor:
- mărţişoare realizate prin tehnica şerveţelului - de la 2 RON/buc.
- mărţişoare pictate manual - de la 5 RON/buc.
Însă fiecare poate dona cât dorește.

Se emit de asemenea şi chitanţe, aşa că fiţi fără griji, banii chiar vor ajunge pe mâini bune.

A unique and relaxing project, created together with 9 creative girls, during our work breaks and while we were at home. Our goal with this project is to bring the spring in the hearts of as many beautiful and talented children as possible by sending them in the camps organized by the Love-Bihor Association. Unfortunately, these children have an extremely fragile or insufficient material background, so they cannot go to camps without help.

Love-Bihor is an association that helps children who are temporarily in difficulty. They have developed a range of activities that meet children's specific needs, educational and recreational activities as well as camps that include both. The project we got involved in consists of making handmade brooches which will be sold.

With the money we raise we hope to help at least 1-2 children to cover all the essentials they need to be able to go in the camps organized by Love-Bihor. So, along with my wonderful colleagues, we decided at the beginning of February to start this adventure.

Up to now, we have managed to make over 300 brooches, either with the napkin technique or by hand-painting them. I have to confess that I have never imagined how talented the girls can be. You have the proof in the pictures below. Together with 9 hardworking and creative girls, namely Anita Kaloczki, Amalia Chişe, Andreia Bârzan Farcaş, Brigitta Cservid, Andrada Opriş, Szilagyi Annamária, Nadia Tătar, Anita Varga and myself, Mariana Martin, we managed to gather the amount of 450 RON in 10 days.

We are willing to make brooches on demand as well because we want to bring the spring in the hearts of as many talented children as possible. So if you want to get involved with us in this project, please write to me or to my colleagues if you know them.

We would like to limit this project to Oradea, because it would be too costly to send one brooch at a time by post, when one brooch only costs 2RON. For those who wish to contribute the price of brooches is as follows:

The 'Rasuflarea' (aka 'Take a deep breath') Experience

Acum aproximativ o luna, am aflat de 'Rasuflarea' de la Klara, antrenoarea de Pilates de la Fit4U. In timp ce imi povestea, fetele din jur, care deja stiau de editiile trecute, au intrat 'in hora' si toate imi prezentau ce este 'Rasuflarea'.

About a month ago, I found out about 'Rasuflarea' from Klara, the Pilates trainer from Fit4U. While she was telling me the story, some of the girls, who already knew of the past editions, joined 'the dance' and all of them were telling me what 'Rasuflarea' is.

Toata lumea era super mega incantata de ce se intampla la 'Rasuflarea'. Cand fetele imi povesteau ce inseamna pentru ele 'Rasuflarea' ma regaseam in fiecare cuvant pe care il rosteau si imi doream din ce in ce mai mult sa particip si eu. Si uite asa, impreuna cu niste prietene ne-am inscris si noi la 'Rasuflarea' editia din toamna.

Everyone was mega excited about what was happening at 'Rasuflarea'. While the girls told me what 'Rasuflarea' meant for them, I've found myself in every word they were saying and my desire to attend this event got even greater/bigger. And so, along with some friends, we registered at the autumn edition of 'Rasuflarea'.

Ce asteptari am avut de la aceasta editie?

In primul si in primul rand imi doream foarte mult sa ma relaxez, mai ales ca aceasta 'escapada' era prima in acest an si mai ales de acest gen.
Apoi am vrut sa profit de fiecare ora de miscare cat mai mult. Tot timpul m-am intrebat oare cum ar fi sa imi incep ziua facand un pic de sport.
Sa invat ceva nou de la fiecare seminar pe care sa pot sa il aplic in viata mea.
Sa mananc sanatos si sa incerc chestii noi
Sa cunosc lume noua si sa leg noi prietenii
Sa ma distrez

What expectations I had from this edition ?

First and foremost, I wanted to relax very much, especially since this was my first 'escape' of this kind, this year.
Then, I wanted to exercise, practice sport. I always wondered what would it be like to start my day doing a bit of exercise.
To learn something new from each seminar, that I can apply to my life.
To eat healthy and try new things
To meet new people and make new friends
To have fun

Ce credeti, am reusit toate aceste lucruri?

'Rasuflarea' este locul ideal pentru persoanele care isi doresc toate aceste lucruri si chiar mai mult. Unele emotii traite chiar nu pot fi exprimate in cuvinte, trebuie doar sa le traiesti si sa te bucuri de ele cu tot sufletul.

Ma bucur din suflet ca am reusit sa fiu una din cele peste 30 de fete care au ajuns sa participe la editia asta la 'Rasuflarea'. Am fost un grup super, ne-am distrat impreuna si cel mai important am adunat amintiri frumoase.

Locatia unde am fost cazate parca este rupta din rai. Inconjurata de munti, Pensiunea Apuseni Wild Remeti, va ofera o priveliste de vis si cele mai bune conditii de cazare. Au ca dotari restaurant, bar, piscina, sauna si jacuzzi. Proprietarul si angajatii sunt niste persoane foarte amabile si serviabile. Este o adevarata placere sa te cazezi aici.

Multumesc din suflet organizatorilor, antrenoarelor si tuturor sponsorilor pentru aceasta oportunitate. Totul a fost organizat pana la ultimul detaliu si nu doar ca s-a vazut acest lucru, dar s-a si simtit.

'Rasuflarea' is the ideal place for people who want all these things and more. Some of the experienced emotions cannot be expressed in words, you just have to live and enjoy them wholeheartedly. I'm so glad that I've managed to be one of the 30 girls, who have come to participate in this edition of 'Rasuflarea'. We were a great group, we had fun together and most importantly, made some great memories.

The location where we stayed is Heaven on Earth. Surrounded by mountains, the 'Apuseni Wilde Remeti' Pension offers a wonderful view and the best accommodation. They have a restaurant, bar, swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi. The owner and employees are very friendly and helpful. It is a pleasure to stay here.

Persoanele care an de an se implica cel mai mult in acest proiect

Acesta este al treilea an de cand participam la campanii de caritate, in special la Shoebox. Impreuna cu colegii mei de la Cylex am reusit in acesti 3 ani sa facem 272 de cutii pentru ShoeBox. Spre deosebire de anii trecuti, anul acesta ceva surprinzator s-a intamplat. Pentru ca donatiile colegilor erau tot mai multe, am ramas fara cutii pentru cadouri. Astfel m-am gandit sa scriu celor de la Maribon daca ne pot ajuta cu niste cutii goale. Fara ezitare raspunsul lor a fost 'DA'. A doua zi am si mers dupa ele. Ajunsi acolo ne-au intrebat detalii despre ceea ce facem si daca pot si ei sa ne ajute.

In inima mea, asteptam aceasta intrebare, asa ca fara sa zabovesc, cu un nod in stomac, am zis - 'incaltaminte de iarna, daca se poate'.
Imi doream foarte mult sa putem oferi in acest an si incaltaminte, pentru ca stiam cata nevoie au unii copii de ele. Raspunsul lor a fost ' Sigur, avem nevoie doar de marimile la picior ale copiilor. ' Nu stiu daca va puteti imagina ce au insemnat pentru mine acele cuvinte. Dorinta lor de a ne ajuta mi-au luminat ziua si anul. Impreuna am ales incaltaminte pentru 1 centru de copii si o familie.

Istoviti, dupa ce am descarcat cutiile pentru Shoebox.

Nimic nu se compara cu sentimentul de bucurie si fericire ce l-am simtit cand am mers dupa cutii goale si am iesit cu cutii pline. Cand intalnesti asa oameni, nu ai cum sa nu poti trece peste toate piedicile pe care le intalnesti cand te ocupi de genul asta de proiecte. Da, nu e usor, sa duci la capat un asemenea proiect. Insa merita tot sacrificiul depus cand vezi rezultatul muncii tale si al colegilor. As dori ca prin aceasta poveste sa pot sa inspir macar 1-2 persoane care sa faca si ele la randul lor un gest mic de caritate, nu conteaza cat de mic, important este sa il faca.

Abi si Rebeca si-au primit cadourile

Timp de un an de zile nu facem altceva decat sa investim in noi. Macar o data pe an ar fi frumos sa investim si in alte persoane, cu care viata, soarta, sau cum vreti voi sa o numiti, nu au fost asa darnice. Ca sa faci o cutie pentru Shoebox nu iti trebuie multe: cateva hainute, niste jucarii, dulciuri, si gata, ai facut ca aceste sarbatori de iarna sa fie mai bune pentru un copil.

Tu, cel care citesti acum acest articol, ce mai astepti?

Anita ne arata cum se realizeaza o cutie shoebox.

Nu mai sta pe ganduri, incepe chiar acuma sa faci o cutie pentru cineva. Campania Shoebox se incheie in curand, insa mai sunt si alte campanii care abia asteapta ajutorul tau. Ai ajutat pe cineva anul asta? Daca da, as vrea sa stiu povestea ta. Cu cat ne adunam mai multi cu atat putem dovedi ca in Romania de azi se intampla si lucruri bune si frumoase. Lucruri si persoane cu care ne putem mandri la orice ora din zi si noapte.
