Welcome to my blog about why I love the city of Walnut Creek in California!

Let me start off by saying that I think Walnut Creek is charming and beautiful. The best part about this city-the unbelievable shopping area called the Broadway Plaza. I consider myself a bit of a "Shopaholic", so this place is my paradise! So a let me tell you a little about this fabulous mall.

There is the main shopping area, and outside it are more stores and restaurants located on small streets very close by, so it really is one big plaza. (I refer to the mall as the plaza and the plaza as the mall). It’s really pretty huge, filled with every kind of store and restaurant you could think of, and it’s an outside mall-which makes it gorgeous. What I noticed about this shopping area, is that most of the people walking around wear casual but dressy clothing-while shopping! And there are literally so many stores and eateries that I simply can't name them all, just the ones I love. You'll notice when you walk around that this isn’t a regular mall, because most of the shops and restaurants here, you probably won't see them in an ordinary mall. Like I said earlier, more shops and restaurants are located on streets outside the main shopping area, which makes the whole shopping experience.

This is one of the main reasons why I love coming here-it's so much fun exploring the streets, seeing what that every store and eatery has to offer-who knows what you'll find!

~Shops and Restaurants~

I have to tell you, there is an endless variety of restaurants in the plaza. They range from American to Indian to French, Italian, Mexican and many more. It just depends what you're hungry for. The cafes and bistros are adorable and cozy too. My absolute favorite cafe/restaurant that my mom and I go to every time we're shopping is the Boudin Bakery Cafe (you've probably heard of it). They make amazing french bread (stop by and grab a loaf before you leave the mall), and their menu is delicious. A fun place for families or for those who want awesome pizza is the California Pizza Kitchen (you've probably heard of them too)-the food is so good if you’ve never been there before, and the proof are the lines of people that are always out the door!

My favorite part about malls is, of course, the stores. I'll be honest, the shops can be a little pricy, but I think worth the purchases. What ever you want to shop for, it's in the plaza, I guarantee. They have some designer stores like Coach, Juicy Couture (my favorite stop), Banana Republic, Kate Spade, BCBG MAX AZRIA, and Betsey Johnson. Other clothing stores are Coldwater Creek, J.Crew, and Diva Diva just to name a few. Stores for the home and chef are Sur La Table and Crate & Barrel (my mom's favorite stores). My favorite kid’s clothing stores are The Children’s Place and Janie-and-Jack. Of course they have other shops for accessories and cosmetics, that kind of stuff. They have more stores for other stuff too, but you'll have to see those for yourself.

I have been coming to this mall for years and I know I haven’t seen everything. Almost every time I go, I see a new store or restaurant. So if you’ve never been to Walnut Creek and want to do some awesome shopping (and dining), this is definitely the place to go and have fun. So bring your friends and appetite and explore!

Just go and take a look around. Trust me, you’ll love it!
