They are here illegally and they should be looking over their shoulders because they have broken the law. But, NPR reporter Debra Elliot makes it sound like there is a problem when illegal immigrants take their children out of schools because of Alabama's new get tough policy on illegal immigrants. There is no upside for the liberal bias of the NPR news report. Here are some of the money quotes:

"ELLIOTT: Since a federal judge left intact much of Alabama's immigration crackdown, 25 Hispanic students have withdrawn, another 40 plan to by the end of the week, and dozens of others have been absent. That's nearly a third of the south Alabama school's population of students for whom English is a second language."

At ten thousand bucks per student the school district and local taxpayers will be saving quite a bit over the years if they no longer have to pay the costs of educating the children of illegal immigrants. Of course no mention of this in Elliot's report.

Then there is Jose Hernadez whom Elliot interviewed. An illegal immigrant who is also working in this country illegally but, NPR ignores that. He's not only been working but, also fornicating here too as he has five count em five children. Again at ten thousand dollars a year per student guess who's paying to educate them? Again the taxpayers would be saving at fifty grand a year if Henandez leaves the area and that's just one illegal. Multipy that out by the others and real money is being saved.

Finally Elliot can't even see the benefits of having the illegals leave the area:

"ELLIOTT: Foley is a small town in Baldwin County in south Alabama. The county has one of fastest growing Hispanic populations in the state - up more than 200 percent from 2000 to 2010, according to the U.S. Census. Immigrants come here to work on farms, in seafood processing and in the tourism industry. But as they flee, the question is who will fill those jobs? "

Hmmm, perhaps some Americans who can't find jobs? Of course wages may have to rise. That's a good thing too! Or how about the other 99% Occupy Wall Street crowd. They are bitching they can't find work tell them to get their sorry asses down to Alabama! Of course there is one downside of illegals leaving Alabama they will be moving to other states and become a problem for those taxpayers.
<!--
"Well, government-sponsored National Public Radio — erstwhile guardians of civility — apparently found the death-threat misdirection amusing. A segment last Friday on NPR’s Morning Edition made light of the plight of Iowa businessman Dutch Koch — no relation to libertarian businessmen Charles and David Koch.

Philip Ellender, President, Government & Public Affairs, at Koch Companies Public Sector, LLC, called the NPR hypocrites out:
"I am writing to raise deep concerns about a Morning Edition segment that aired on April 22 and apparently made light of death threats that had been leveled at gentleman in Iowa but that had been intended for our company.
The item was read by hosts Mary Louise Kelly and Renee Montagne, billed as “our last word in business,” and was clearly framed as an amusing take on the news. Kelly and Montagne made sport of the fact that a Mr. Dutch Koch shares the same surname as that of our company, even musing that he’s also been “confused with the big soda maker” – Coca-Cola, it seems. Kelly quipped that “he does not say which cola he prefers” before cutting away to what sounds like bongo drum music.
But there is nothing even remotely funny about a person’s life being threatened and NPR ought to be ashamed that simple fact of decency has to be pointed out. Here, for example, are three recent stories that NPR has aired about how disturbing and profoundly wrong it is when death threats are made – no matter what motivates them. It is the most depraved, lowest form of discourse and it is also a crime. "
<!--

Bush, and a political reporter for the Washington Post. I asked Baier how that lineup reflected the fairness that he promises." The Post is a "non-ideological news outlet"? See the arrogance of media liberals on display. Fox is a right-wing propaganda house, but NPR and The Washington Post are meticulously "non-ideological."

I wonder if Folkenflik every looked at six months of Rachel Maddows guests? I suspect they Baier would win the "fair and balanced" contest there. But, Graham also points out something Folkenflix failed to mention in his report:

"Notice how in his complaint that Fox is casting reporters as "surrogate liberals," Folkenflik never suggested in this piece that one of the Baier regulars is NPR's own Mara Liasson -- perhaps because NPR's liberal listener base hates NPR people "dignifying" Fox with their liberal presence."

A very strange ommission indeed.

"In Win For Obama, House Kills Jet Fighter Engine"
by David Welna

A win for Obama? Really? How about a win for the American taxpayer who will not have to pay for this redundant program. While making it seem like this was all Obama's doing in the headline. The report downplays the real hero's who made it happen. Notably there is no mention of the Conservative or "Tea Party" candidates who came to congress ready to start cutting government waste: Here is the biased money quote from NPR:

"In a notable reversal from last year, the House has voted to kill an expensive alternative jet fighter engine. It's a win for President Obama and Defense Secretary Robert Gates, and a loss for the House speaker and others, whose districts would lose jobs. Half of Republicans who have been calling for deep spending cuts voted to retain the engine. But freshmen elected on a mandate to cut spending put their money where their mouth is and voted to kill it."

Notice the comment about "half the Republicans" of course no bad words about the Democrats. Even though some of them were the real porkers in trying get U.S. taxpayers to pay for this redundent engine. Also note how they go out of their way not to avoid any mention of the "Tea Party" influence in the congressional vote. They are just "freshman elected on a mandate". The Reports like this show the bias that pervades NPR and are just another reason why NPR sucks!
<!--

Why should taxpayers have to pay for a government service that has such a politically Liberal bias in it's broadcasts. So much so that they even fire arguably liberal commentators like Juan Williams just because he also comments on the conservative Fox News Channel. I've also mentioned the bias that show up in various programs and news stories that are heard on NPR when they cover important national issues. They use the Orwellian term "undocumented workers" more often than not when describing illegal aliens. This is the influence of Liberal and open borders groups like La Raza have on NPR. Enough is enough! I'm sure their are plenty of Hollywood liberals who could pony up some funds to make up the difference if the government defunds them.
I heard on NPR this evening that the claim that the funding NPR receives from the Federal Government is a minute portion of the budget.

MEMO TO NPR:
Some of us taxpayers think that $400 million is a lot of money to be spending on an organization like NPR that let's it's bias flow out everyday on the airwaves unchecked. Well, maybe now is the time for NPR and PBS to pay the piper and get the money from somewhere else other than the U.S. taxpayers. Though in their minds they may think the world could not live without them. The reality is that NPR and PBS are not "essential government services" even more so in these belt tightening economic times.
<!--
Seems that the liberals running NPR have lit a firecracker and it may have too short a fuse. Seems the firing of Juan Williams and the comments from NPR's CEO just might blow up in their faces. Calls are starting to come from congress to defund NPR with our tax dollars. Others are chiming in too:

In the wake of commentator Juan Williams’ feckless firing by National Public Radio, supporters on the Internet sounded a cheeky rallying cry: “Free Juan!” But Williams has now been liberated from the government-funded media’s politically correct shackles. It’s taxpayers who need to be untethered from NPR and other state-sponsored public broadcasting.
Public radio and public television are funded with your money to the tune of some $400 million in direct federal handouts and tax deductions for contributions made by individual viewers, not to mention untold state grants and subsidies."-Michelle Malkin
Well why not? Take that 400 million and put it toward bringing down the deficit. Let billionaire George Soros use his money to replace NPR's loss. He's funding them already.
<!--

Yes, I'm a registered Democrat but, I'm also recovering Liberal (it's a 12 step process). I have not been on the air in years but, still listen to a lot of radio. One of the stations I listen to is an NPR station near me during the day which has mostly a classical music format. But, I find myself either turning it off or getting pissed off when some of the NPR "news" programs come on like ALL THINGS CONSIDERED etc... The fact that the station carries these NPR programs has often prevented me from donating money. I don't want to support NPR anymore than I have too. When I do listen to the NPR programs the politically correct bias of the NPR mentality comes through loud and clear. Especially, I've notice on stories that deal with the illegal immigration problem in the United States. It's so easy to hear how the reporters and editors have been co-opted by the liberal and open borders crowd on the issue to down play or not cover the serious consequences of the failure of our Federal Government to enforce immigration laws. Especially when they use words like "undocumented workers", "migrant workers" etc... instead of the proper term which is illegal alien. The firing of liberal leaning Juan Williams for expressing his feelings and concerns following the terrorist attack on the Was the final straw for me and why I started this blog. NPR has no shortage of stories or commentators expressing their "feelings". The trouble for Williams his "feelings" did not fit in the tight Liberal confines of the NPR dogma. So they fired his ass. Perhaps they are not so "liberal" after all. So there it is. I'm not sure how much I'll be posting here but, when I hear something on NPR that raises my eyebrow at least I'll have a place to point it out and rant. Now back to my regularly scheduled life.
<!--
