48 Hour Film Project NH

There are 19 camera set-ups. I’m giving myself six hours to shoot the whole thing. I think I can do it in four. The shoot is scheduled for Monday with a Wednesday rain date. If any students want to watch the process, please contact me. We (hopefully) will meet at 10:00 AM, done by 4:00.

Can’t wait to shoot.

Today we had a great make-up test and shot a prop photo for the video. Ross’ sister, Emily did such a fantastic job with the make up that people called with concerns for Ross’ health after we posted them on Facebook.

Which photo o you like better?

Wicked Sick Films took home two awards last night at the sold out Red River Theaters. The fist award was for Best Use of Line of Dialog: “I need to tell you something.” The second was for Best Use of  Prop: A box. Although we didn’t win this years grand prize, we (WSF!) feel we were a worthy contender. The audience laughed throughout the seven minutes of the film, when they were supposed to and even when they weren’t. We are very proud of our dog-popping masterpiece.

Bumpers: Director’s Cut. We were afraid some of the scenes were too gruesome for the official submission so we deleted a bit. Here’s the way we really wanted it.

In the end, the grand prize winners Wax Idiotical won with an extremely well done musical “Welcome to Where You Are.” This veteran team has been together for a few years and competed in many 48 hour films projects. They deserved to win. Congratulations to the W.I. team.

This was our first year and we can only get better from here. Watch out Wax Idiotical!

I shot some photos and video at an Ana Sapphira video shoot. This is just something I wanted to upload to test out. Nothing is timed out. The stills are 4 frames each at 24 FPS.

If you haven’t seen it, I’ll try not to give anything away about Chris Nolan’s Inception. This is brilliant storytelling. A master class in pacing. From the screenplay all the way to the editing. It doesn’t lag anywhere. The movie is about two hours and twenty minutes. It feels like a ninety minute thriller and it makes you feel like your in a dream within a dream. See it to understand what I’m saying. BRILLIANT!
