The third generation grand tourer BMW 6-Series Coupe is already on sale and offers more luxury and refinement than any of its predecessors. Not only that but one may argue that it is also the most elegant among similarly-priced rivals such as Mercedes-Benz SL-Class or Jaguar XK. In terms of performance and fuel economy there is no argument that it is the best in class thanks to the EfficientDynamics technologies employed by BMW engineers. Currently offered are two turbocharged petrol engines (640i and 650i) and a twin-turbocharged diesel (640d as pictured below).

The limited-edition Ford GT in Heritage Blue and Epic Orange colors reminiscent of the Gulf Oil livery was released in 2006 to commemorate Ford's Le Mans victories in 1968 and 1969. The car is powered by 5.4 liter V8 delivering its peak of 550 horsepower at 6500 rpm. Wallpaper by Alex Diaconou.

Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition (1920x1080 pixels)

Until recently the Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition was the record holder for the fastest production car at the Nürburgring. Then the Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR took the title away by beating the LFA's time by about two seconds (official video here). Probably the Japanese engineers will not give up so easily and will make some tweaks that will be introduced in another special edition Lexus LFA car. Oh yes! Another Lamborghini wallpaper in high resolution. This one is the Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale - the most untamed Gallardo yet. It was shown to the public at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show 2011 several days ago. Bright color (btw this one is in Rosso Mars), sharp design, enormous rear spoiler... this is what Lamborghinis are all about. As you might have thought, judging by the name of the new limited edition car (just 150 units), this is basically a roadgoing version of the vehicle that races in the Blancpain Super Trofeo single make series around racing tracks in Europe. The Bentley Azure T is very likely to be one of the most imposing modern convertibles. It will seat 4 persons in absolute luxury and unlike other convertibles there is enough leg room as in a limousine. Bentley kept true to its tradition and under the bonnet a turbocharged 6.75L V8 engine is found. It is good for 507 hp and 1000 Nm of torque helping the car accelerate from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 5.5 seconds and achieve a top speed of 288 km/h (179 mph).

Porsche 911 Carrera (Type 991)

Porsche fanatics have been waiting for a long time for the new 911 (Type 991) to be officially revealed. The time has come and the result did not surprise anyone, I guess. It was expected of Porsche to make slight changes and refresh the looks. Although the car shares many similarities with its predecessor (the 997), the bodywork is new and the 911 is now longer, wider and has reduced height... but is still unmistakably a 911!

Honda (UK) and Mugen Euro have just revealed the first image of their latest creation. The result is this astounding hardcore hybrid coupe that driven in a responsible manner (understand in "Eco" mode) will get you above 50 mpg of fuel consumption. Fooling around with the supercharged hot hatch and you will enter the mid-30 mpg zone in the special "Mugen" mode. Official 0-60 mph time has not been announced yet, but the guys at Mugen Euro say that the car has a similar time to the Civic Type R. So probably it is somewhere in the range of 6.6 to 7 seconds.
