The INS Eilat (501) is a Sa'ar 5-class corvette of the Israeli Navy that was built by Northrop Grumman Ship Systems in 1993. She is one of three Sa'ar 5-class corvettes in service with the Israeli Navy. The contract for the construction of the three ships of the class was signed in the early 1980s. The Eilat was the first of the three ships to be launched and commissioned, being the first in her class.

The USS Peleliu (LHA-5) is a Tarawa-class amphibious assault ship of the United States Navy, named after the Battle of Peleliu during World War II.
The Peleliu immediately headed south, transited the Panama Canal, and then crossing the Equator on 27 May, setting a new record for time between commissioning and entrance into the Southern Hemisphere. Next, she proceeded to the port of Long Beach, California. After Operation Desert Storm In June 1991, while coming back from the Persian Gulf, the Peleliu participated in the evacuation of Subic Bay personnel in the aftermath of the eruption of Mount Pinatubo in the Philippines.
The evacuation included several patients from the maternity ward, resulting in multiple births aboard ship. The eruption was among the world's largest in the past 100 years. It covered a large region in heavy volcanic ash and resulting in the destruction of much of the US naval base. In November 2001, the Peleliu delivered the first U.S. Marines to Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. On 2 January 2004 a vessel was intercepted and fifteen individuals were detained and an estimated 2,800 pounds (1,300 kg) of hashish (approximately $11 million street value) were seized by U.S. and coalition maritime forces following the interception of a dhow on 1 January in the North Arabian Sea.
The Peleliu deployed in support of the Pacific Partnership mission 23 May – 20 September 2007.

The Sa'ar 4 or Reshef class missile/attack boats were built at the Israel Shipyards and based on Israeli Navy designs grounded in accumulated experience derived in the operation of "Cherbourg" (Saar 3) class.

Sa'ar 4 ships first battle engagements were made in the October 1973 Yom Kippur War. During this war, two Sa'ar 4 ships engaged in missile battles with Egyptian and Syrian ships and coastal targets.

An aggressor squadron is a squadron that is trained to act as an opposing force in military wargames. Aggressor squadrons use enemy tactics, techniques, and procedures to give a realistic simulation of air combat (as opposed to training against one's own forces). Since it is impractical to use actual enemy aircraft and equipment, surrogate aircraft are used to emulate potential adversaries.

US aggressor squadrons fly small and low-wing loaded fighters that are used to represent those of the potential adversaries. Originally Douglas A-4s (US Navy) and Northrop F-5s (US Navy, Marines, and Air Force) were flown.

The Navy and Marine Corps briefly operated 2 squadrons of F-21 Kfir Adversaries at NAS Oceana {VF-43} and Marine Corps Air Station Yuma (VMFT-401). These were eventually supplemented by early-model F/A-18As (US Navy) and specially built F-16Ns (for the US Navy) and F-16A models for the Air Force).

Starting at the end of 2005, the USAF has started using the larger and faster F-15 Eagle as an aggressor aircraft alongside the F-16 at Nellis Air Force Base. Nellis will soon receive a total of 24 Eagles to be used in adversary training. Foreign aircraft have been used as aggressors in the United States, most notably the Israeli Kfir fighter, designated F-21 in its use as an adversary asset.

Russian MiG-17s, 21s, and 23s have also been flown by the US Air Force as Aggressors over the Nellis ranges, under the Constant Peg program.

The US Army operates eleven Russian aircraft for adversary training, including Mi-24 Hinds, Mi-8 Hips, Mi-2 Hoplites, and An-2 Colts.

HMCS Fredericton (FFH 337) is a Halifax-class frigate that has served in the Canadian Forces since 1994. HMCS Fredericton is the eighth ship in her class which is based on the Canadian Patrol Frigate Project.

She is the second vessel to carry the designation HMCS Fredericton. Fredericton was laid down on 25 April 1992 at Saint John Shipbuilding Ltd., Saint John and launched on 26 June 1993.

She was officially commissioned into the CF on 10 September 1994 and carries the hull classification symbol 337. She is assigned to Maritime Forces Atlantic (MARLANT) and is homeported at Canadian Forces Base Halifax.

The sixth and present HMS Cornwall is the first of the Batch 3 Type 22 frigates of the Royal Navy.

HMS Cornwall is based at HMNB Devonport in Devon, England, part of the Devonport Flotilla. She was built by Yarrow Shipbuilders and launched by Diana Princess of Wales at Scotstoun on the Clyde in October 1985 and commissioned at Falmouth in 1988 by the ship's sponsor, Diana, Princess of Wales (who was also the Duchess of Cornwall).

On 28 January 2006 HMS Cornwall was rededicated, following a period of docked maintenance, in a ceremony at Falmouth attended by Lady Mary Holborow.

HMS York is a Batch III Type 42 destroyer of the Royal Navy. Launched on 20 June 1982 at Wallsend, Tyne and Wear and sponsored by Lady Gosling, HMS York was the last Type 42 built. The ship's crest is the White Rose of York, and the "red cross with lions passant" funnel badge is derived from the coat of arms of the City of York.

As of February 2010, the Destroyer HMS York and the auxiliary RFA Wave Ruler are deployed in the Falkland Islands coinciding with a period of increased tensions between the United Kingdom and Argentina over the formers plans to begin drilling for oil in the seas surrounding the islands.

It has been reported that the British warship HMS York was recently involved in a incident with an Argentinian corvette in the Falkland islands, prompting worries of a further escalation of tensions between Argentina and the United Kingdom.

The Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II is a fifth-generation, single-seat, single-engine stealth multirole fighter, that can perform close air support, tactical bombing, and air defense missions.

The F-35 has three different models; one is a conventional takeoff and landing variant, the second is a short takeoff and vertical-landing variant, and the third is a carrier-based variant.

The F-35 is descended from the X-35, the product of the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program.

Its development is being principally funded by the United States and the United Kingdom, with other partner governments providing additional funding.

It is being designed and built by an aerospace industry team led by Lockheed Martin with Northrop Grumman and BAE Systems as major partners. Demonstrator aircraft flew in 2000, with the first flight on 15 December 2006.

The intention of this new aircraft is to replace the the world's only production line vertical take of and landing aircraft. legendary British Harrier Jet, a relic of the cold war and veteran of the 1982 Falklands war.

USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77) is the tenth and final Nimitz class supercarrier of the United States Navy.

She is named for the 41st President of the United States George H. W. Bush, who was a naval aviator during World War II. Bush's callsign is Avenger, after the TBM Avenger aircraft flown by then-Lieutenant George Bush in WWII.

Construction began in 2001 by the Northrop Grumman Newport News shipyard, at a cost of $6.2 billion USD and was completed in 2009.

She is homeported at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia.

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- Two Canadian warships arrived off the north and south coasts of Haiti early Tuesday and began sending crews of 100 ashore to collect bodies and clear roads.

The HMCS Athabaskan was off shore from Leogane, a devastated town west of Port-au-Prince on the north coast, while the HMCS Halifax dropped anchor off Jacmel, a town of 40,000 on the earthquake-ravaged Caribbean island's southern coast.

The Lockheed C-141 Starlifter was a military strategic airlifter in service with the Air Mobility Command (AMC) of the United States Air Force. The aircraft also served with AMC-gained airlift wings and air mobility wings of the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) and the Air National Guard (ANG) and, in later years, one air mobility wing of the Air Education and Training Command (AETC) dedicated to C-141, C-5, C-17 and KC-135 training.

Introduced to replace slower piston-engined cargo planes such as the C-124 Globemaster II, the C-141 was designed to requirements set in 1960 and first flew in 1963. Production deliveries of an eventual 285 planes began in 1965: 284 for the Air Force, and one for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) for use as an airborne observatory. The aircraft remained in service for almost 40 years until the USAF withdrew the C-141 from service on 5 May 2006, replacing the aircraft with the C-17 Globemaster III.

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) (Urdu: پاک فضائیہ, Pak Fiza'ya) is the air arm of the Pakistan Armed Forces and is primarily tasked with the aerial defence of Pakistan with a secondary role to provide air support to the Pakistan Army and the Pakistan Navy. The PAF also has a tertiary role to provide strategic air transport and logistics capability to Pakistan. The PAF employs 65,000 full-time personnel (including approximately 3,000 pilots) and operates approximately 400 combat aircraft alongside various transport and training aircraft.

The PAF currently operates approximately 400 combat aircraft of 5 different types, planned to be reduced to 3 types by 2015. There are around 20 front-line squadrons.

The primary air defence fighter is the Chengdu F-7, of which two variants are in service; 120 F-7P and 60 F-7PG. An upgraded variant of the F-7M, F-7P incorporates many PAF-specific modifications such as Martin-Baker ejection seat, two extra weapon stations for a total of 5, an extra 30 mm cannon and an Italian-designed FIAR Grifo 7 multi-mode radar. F-7P was inducted in the late 1980s and early 1990s, intended to supplement a fleet of more advanced F-16 fighters. The Grifo 7 radar was later upgraded to the Grifo 7 mk.II version. The F-7PG variant incorporates a "cranked delta" wing which improves take-off, landing and turning performance considerably, as well as extra space in the nose to accommodate the much improved Grifo 7PG radar. F-7 replaced around 250 Shenyang J-6 fighters which were the PAF's workhorse throughout the 1970s and 1980s. F-7 is also used to perform limited strike duties.
