is there any PCI (nomal PCI slot for WIFI adapters, audio cards and such) to PCI Express x16 (graphic card slot) Adapter?
if there is, how much does it cost?

ok so im a newb with networking and drivers and stuff like that. i just built a comuter, and i need a wifi card that SUPPORTS LINUX. i will be running ubuntu 11.04. my router is 802.11n. i have a pci express 2.0 slot on my motherboard. please do not give me a link to the ubuntu support forum, as i have tried looking there and was unsuccessful

I may be mistaken, but do I need to use the antenna in addition to the airport extreme card? I don’t have one, so could I settle for a PCI airport card with an attached antenna? Would that connect the Mac to Internet without a stock card??
I have the card all the way into the motherboard, and the antenna cable IS connected. However, I don’t have the external antenna extension that connects to the back of the tower.

I have an airport extreme card, and the Mac picks up wifi, but it won’t connect like my laptop. It just says connection failed. Could I just take out the express card and use a PCI network antenna?

I’ve got a dual 1.8 G5 tower that I’d like to use WiFi with. The total cost of an AirPort Extreme card + the external antenna is a LOT more than the cost of a PCI airport card with an antenna attached. Could I get a PCI one and completely skip the installation of a regular apple wireless card?

I have the acer aspire Z5610 and its wireless card is awful and I want to put a new one in, I do not want an external one I want to take my current PCI wifi card out and put a new one in its place. It currently uses the Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC, Please can anybody suggest any upgrades that will fit in my computer? Cheers

Someone posted on a review that the GPU fan is in the way where I can install the wireless network card because the GPU fan is on the opposite side where it usally is, So can this be fixed if i can buy a PCI-e betwork card for wifi in it?
If I can please recommend a wifi PCI-e network card from newegg for 25$ and under that is very good, campatable, and with good ratings

Im just wondering, would I be able to use a PCI Belkin WiFi card for my desktop, without the black antenna/aerial that screws on the back?

There is a small nip of copper hanging out of the output hole and was wondering if its strong enough to receive signal from the next room, or I could setup a wireless ad-hoc to my wireless laptop to get the internet (the laptop would be no further than 5 metres from the desktop?

Which is better for A Computer Windows XP?

I have a intel centrino advanced 6200 AGN network(wifi card). The model number is 622ANHMW and the Part number if needed is 0266YM Rev A02. Found something called hardware id: PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_04681028&REV_06 . Those are all the details I can find about it. I am looking to find out what chipset it is running. I am wondering if it will work with packet injection/ aircrack_ng software. I am trying to test my network for strength. Not a website that will test the network.
