The first area to get its very own Life Centre will be Wigan South, closely followed by Leigh. Leigh Life Centre will find its home on the ground floor of Leigh Town Hall. The exciting new features will include a free Hotphone to a new contact centre, meeting spaces for local groups and spaces for one-to-one meetings with council staff.

Oh Little Town of Atherton

Bethlehem two millennia ago meets twenty first century Atherton for the town’s now traditional Christmas Nativity Parade. And everyone is invited. Starting at 6pm on Friday 11 December in the Market Place, people will be processing around the town centre. There will be carols, costumes and real donkeys, with the parade stopping at three inns along the way: The Red Lion, The Last Orders and The Old Isaacs.
