The Nintendo shunning will soon be no more, because here, my friends, is the official Guitar Hero controller for the Nintendo Wii.

By and large, it is identical to its Sony and MS-geared counterparts, but with one notable difference. There is a definite slot in the body where you can slide in a Wii Remote, apparently so that it can detect when you're really getting into it and thrashing all about. The solid white faceplate is also fully removable.

Guitar Hero for the Wii will likely cost about $90 US, including the price of the Guitar controller. I'm stoked.

For more information of the newly-released Wii accessories and other interesting gadgets that you don't realize, please visit our home page: http://www.gameyeeeah.com/.

iRing Controls Your iPod and iPhone

With a stylish design and wireless Bluetooth connectivity with your iPod and iPhone, the iRing allows you to control playback and volume on any of your Apple media devices. iRing features a bright OLED status display with touch-sensitive function strip, and a rechargeable battery life of up to 2 days. and Fujifilm are teaming up to let you print your photos straight from your Wii.
The companies launched a new service for Wii in Japan Wednesday called the Digicam Print Channel, which users can download for free. Wii owners can then upload images from SD memory cards and have them printed.

The new channel offers more than what users can already achieve through other online print services. On top of individual prints and photo albums, you can also get business cards that feature your photo, or even your Mii avatar. There's even a Mario series of business card templates.

Pricing starts at 30 yen ($.30) for one print -- 89mm x 127mm -- with a square-bound 21-page photo album going for 1,575 yen ($15) and a set of 30 business cards at 500 yen ($5). You'll pay via credit card, and the prints will be mailed to you.

The service is currently only available in Japan, but Nintendo says it plans to launch it in North America and Europe some time in the future.

Quoted from Wired.

For more information of the newly-released Wii accessories and other interesting gadgets that you don't realize, please visit our home page: http://www.gameyeeeah.com/.

The next generation of game- mind control Epoc system Unveiled by Emotiv Systems

Australian firm Emotiv Systems has unveiled a new technology Epoc system, which will allow games to respond to the players’ emotions and let players maneuver objects in the game using the power of their thoughts. This is the first mind control system for games in the world.

The main part of the system is much like a bicycle helmet, on which there are many sensors incepting people's brain wave. The sensors will transfer the information back to computer with radio pulse to help it figure out the motion you are acting. In fact, the Epoc system can receive the orders from each part of your body, which means that you still need to do real "act" with your body, instead of just sitting there to command your computer to fight in the game. It is a little different from the "mind control" we called and we learned from Hollywood movies. The system can releaze whether you are tense, or other similar mind activation such as your emotion and mood. If Epoc system can support complex controls in the game, it will be the next revolution in game field

Wii from Nintendo has brought us a lot of fun and a completely new playing method. Will Epoc be the next Wii which will enrich our game experience?

For more information of the newly-released Wii accessories and other interesting gadgets that you don't realize, please visit our home page: http://www.gameyeeeah.com/.

Eight must-have Wii accessories

Thanks to the inclusion of the simple--but infectiously fun--Wii Sports game, the Wii is the first console in recent memory that lets you have fun straight out of the box. Still, there are a few key accessories you'll want to pick up to maximize your Wii experience--especially if you're buying it as a gift. Here are the eight accessories Wii owners will want in order to make the most from the new console.

1. Extra controllers

Like all recent consoles, the Wii ships with just a single controller ( well, one two-part controller: one Wiimote, plus one nunchuk). But the real fun of the system is playing the head-to-head Wii Sports games such as tennis and boxing. To do so, you'll need at least one extra set of controllers--that's one Wiimote plus one nunchuk. The Wii supports as many as four, but just the one extra controller set should suffice--at least for Christmas morning.

2. Rechargeable batteries

The Wiimote takes two standard AA batteries. They're included--with the Wii, and with the sold-separately version of the controller mentioned above--but avid players may find the juice draining pretty quickly, especially if they keep the nunchuk attached (it draws its power from the Wiimote). Instead of buying an endless stream of costly AAs, consider investing in a set of rechargeables.

3. GameCube controllers

The Wii is fully backwards compatible with the Nintendo GameCube, but there's a catch: to play the GameCube games, you'll need a GameCube controller. You can even go wireless with the Nintendo WaveBird. If you already have a GameCube, your existing controllers will work just fine--just plug them into one of the four ports underneath the flip-up panel on the Wii's topside. GameCube controllers should also work with the Wii's "Virtual Console" games--which saves you the trouble of having to buy a Classic Controller.

4. GameCube memory cards

One other annoyance when playing GameCube games: your progress can be saved only to GameCube memory cards, not to the Wii's internal memory or to an SD card (we're hoping Nintendo fixes this with a future firmware update). Like the controllers, your old GC cards will work just fine--there are two slots right next to the GameCube controller ports. If you don't have any on hand (and you want to save your games on GC titles), you'll need to spring for a memory card.

5. Wii Points

One of the big attactions of the Wii is its Virtual Console, which lets you purchase classic games that originally came from the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), the Super NES, the Nintendo 64, the Sega Genesis, and the TurboGrafx16. By the end of 2006, at least 30 titles should be available, including Donkey Kong (NES), Super Mario 64 (N64), and Sonic the Hedgehog (Genesis). To purchase the downloadable titles, you'll need to use a Nintendo currency known as Wii Points (similar to the Microsoft Points on Xbox Live), which currently have an exchange rate of 100 points per U.S. dollar. You can buy Wii Points directly through the console's online store, or use prepaid cards available in various denominations.

6. SD card

If you're close to filling the Wii's built-in 512MB of storage with your Virtual Console games, you can always expand your available space with an SD card. Nintendo sells its own, but any run-of-the-mill card will do. Fairly spacious 1GB cards are available--even less with mail-in rebates--and they'll work in plenty of other gadgets as well.

7. Wireless access point

In addition to the downloadable Virtual Console games, the Wii offers online "channels," including news, weather, and even an Opera Web browser (head-to-head online gaming is said to be coming sometime in 2007). You can get online for free via the Wii's built-in Wi-Fi. To do so, of course, you'll need a nearby wireless access point or router. Alternately, you can plug the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector (shown at right) into any nearby PC on a wired network, and the Wii--plus your Nintendo DS--will be able to use it to get online instead.

8. Component video adapter

The Wii doesn't have the graphical horsepower to handle high-def graphics, but it can do DVD-level 480p video, which will look considerably better on large HDTVs. To see the Wii's games in 480p, you'll need Nintendo's proprietary component video adapter.

Several sites, including Engadget and GamesSX Network, have tips for rigging up do-it-yourself

Quoted from Cnet.

For more information of the newly-released Wii accessories and other interesting gadgets that you don't realize, please visit our home page: http://www.gameyeeeah.com/.

Nintendo Famicom arrive on Wii

The age-old Nintendo Famicom went with the childhood of almost everyone. Below are the picutre of the coming Famicom controller on Wii. We can see the controller has been newly added the "Home" and "Turbo" push-button which only exist on Wii.

Up till now, there are totally 4 colors controllers available.

For more information of the newly-released Wii accessories, please visit our home page: http://www.gameyeeeah.com/.

Super Smash Bro. When people first play with Wii, they were so excited at the feelings and can't wait to share the enjoyable taste with their friends. Therefore, the news spread fast among people not only players.

Wii has involved a lot of existing players and non-play people. Obviously the latter one has a much huge number. Wii has won the gambling this round to Xbox. It successfully turned more people into players. This is a really striking and painful goal to achieve, but Nintendo did it. Now there are more and more people playing Wii and sharing funs with their friends everyday. You must know that these people have assured that they won't play games any more!

For more information of the newly-released Wii accessories, please visit our home page: http://www.gameyeeeah.com/.

The Wii Laptop!

When I am surfing on the net today, I find this interesting Wii Laptop by accident. This is the first time that I see this gadget.

Here are the features:

16:9 widescreen LCD, 7-inch diagonal.
Stereo sound
Gamecube controller port
Built-in short range Sensor Bar
Ports for using original Sensor Bar and A/V output jacks (for use on external display)
Built-in power supply and compartment for power cord
Dimensions: 8.5 x 7.7 x 2-inches

And the detailed specification of each part.

Above is the video I find from Youtube. Wii Laptop works well and the measurement is not very large either (considering that it is handmade). Quite a lot of people would like to own one of this machine if it is available. You can take the machine with you and play your Wii any time you want. It can match the Macbook or even better as far as I am concerned ( higher cost /performance ratio if producted by mechanized production.

If you also want to make one Wii Laptop yourself, please check the How-to from Engadget. I didn't check out how many steps there are before achieve the goal. I guess there are more than 50 complicated ones. It is too hard for me. Maybe you can figure the problem. Good luck!

For more information of the newly-released Wii accessories, please visit our home page: http://www.gameyeeeah.com/.

Amazing Wii Music

Nintendo has released their new Wii music at their press of 2008 E3. It is said that players can play the music with a wide range of music instruments. In common situation, the game will be formed up with four players who are going to play different instruments. The new games are going to involve more people to creat a larger interaction. Of course, like the games in NDS Lite with the theme of playing music, players will have more fun on this coming playing method.

"Create a musical masterpiece with up to four players. Anyone can play the huge selection of instruments in Wii Music with simple motions—like strumming and drumming.

It’s easy to play improv jams. Musicians in your band jam by simply playing their instruments to the beat of a song or by improvising to their heart’s content. Play faster. Play slower. Skip a beat, or throw in 10 more. No matter what you do, Wii Music automatically transforms your improv stylings into great music. There are no mistakes—just playing for the pure joy of playing.

• Wii controls immerse you in the music. You can play most of the 60-plus instruments in Wii Music using simple motions with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers. Strum to play guitar, banjo and sitar. Drum to play jazz drums, congas and marching drums. Hammer away to play piano, vibraphone and marimba. Unlike most music games, Wii Music doesn’t make you use complex buttons. You only need to imitate playing the instrument.

• Wii Music offers virtually endless ways to make music. You choose the song and instruments and decide whether to blaze through a rock take on classical songs, put a jazzy spin on folk tunes or transform Nintendo classics like the Super Mario Bros.® theme into Latin-flavored numbers. The song list is only a takeoff point—it’s how you improvise with the songs that matters.

• Send your band-jam recordings to Wii Friends who have Wii Music. They’ll see your Mii™ band members, your players’ improv styles and your instrument selections. They can watch your recordings, or play over parts of your song, then send their modified recording back to you. Improv jams can be sent back and forth over WiiConnect24 and changed again and again. From the picture, we can see that it is a plug-in accessory at the end of the Wii remote controller. It shorten the time of the reactting time and improve the precision of control.

As the wide spread use of Wii on more games and the increasing fans around the world, we require a more easy-to-use, smart, fast-transmitting system to bring our gratification to a newer level.

In my opinion, the original Wii remote controller is only compatible with some easy-to-control games. It will feel incapable to handle some big games with the complex controlling skills. It seems that we are now having a better solution to this problem. The two parts can fix together well. At least, that is the answer I get from the picutre.

I am really excited to see the tool. Let's wait for more news on this forever amazing console Nintendo has brought us.

For more information of the newly-released Wii accessories, please visit our home page: http://www.gameyeeeah.com/.

Spyborgs

At the end of April IGN reported that new developer Bionic Games is working on a third-person action game for the Wii based on new intellectual property (IP). The developer has teamed up with Capcom and the two companies recently revealed the project: Spyborgs. The designers are aiming for the feel of a Saturday morning cartoon, in both look and pacing.

The Spyborgs are a team of super heroes, each with their own unique abilities. The game is designed for local co-op play, so two heroes will be engaged in action at all times. Each scenario requires the specific talents of two 'borgs, so over the course of the game we'll get to play the whole team. If you don't have any friends, the AI will handle your team mate for you and you can switch between the two at will. The game is controlled with the Remote and Nunchuk.

Bionic wasn't ready to reveal the entire cast of characters, but a trailer showed a fellow with a gun for an arm, a DJ kid who uses some sort of hologram turntables, a ninja lady, and a brutish robot named Bouncer. A gameplay presentation was given highlighting Bouncer and a teleporting character named Kinetic. It took place in a sewer, populated by bionic piranha, alligators sporting jet packs, fish in robot suits, and rotting teddy bears. Kinetic was able to "jump" short distances, like the X-men's Nightcrawler. Bouncer could pound the ground, leaving large cracks that appeared to be permanent.

We saw some typical examples of co-op gameplay: Kinetic would teleport across a gap and step on a switch, lowering a bridge that allowed Bouncer to cross. Gameplay also consists of a lot of running around, beating up enemies and objects a la Ratchet and Clank (members of the Bionic team worked on Ratchet and Clank). But since this is all presented like a TV show, the action is frequently interrupted by commercial breaks. These are humorous little vignettes parodying toy commercials or plumbing services. But since this is a game, the commercials are playable. A spot for Nuke 'Em Now Robots turned into a rock 'em sock 'em mini-game that played much like Wii Sports Boxing.

There are also rail shooter sections where players aim with the Remote to blast enemies. The level we were shown culminated in a boss fight against an airship, played as a rail shooter. Our heroes were in a mine cart circling the ship, blasting away at its defenses.

Bionic Games said it chose Capcom as its publisher because it knows how to extend its properties beyond games into other realms of entertainment like TV, movies, and comic
books. That's exactly what the creators of Spyborgs aim to do with their property. It's already designed like a cartoon, and Bionic says it is currently in talks with several companies to branch out.

Spyborgs has a very kid-friendly look, but the writing is a little more mature than the visuals. We noticed several instances where swear words had been bleeped out. Of course, a lot of the gags are of the childish, toilet humor variety, as well. One commercial features two banjo-playing fish singing about poo.

Spyborgs is still pretty early in development and is set for release next year.

For more information of the newly-released Wii accessories, please visit our home page: http://www.gameyeeeah.com/.

Previews: Neopets Puzzle Adventure

Background: A "two great tastes that taste great together" sort of combination, Neopets Puzzle Adventure takes the license for Neopets, the popular online virtual pets, and sets it in an adventure world of Puzzle Quest. But rather than making the game simply a re-skinning of the popular Puzzle Quest game, developer Infinite Interactive set out to make Neopets Puzzle Adventure an evolution -- if not a sequel in name -- of the first game. Most of Puzzle Quest's core elements have been completely overhauled. For starters, the classic game of Reversi (aka Go) now forms the basic rules around which everything gets built. The magic system has also been completely revamped with a more sensible arrangement, where controlling specific gem squares on the board will provide you the power needed to use Petpets for help.

What We Saw: We got to check out an oriental-themed map called Shenkuu. As it did in Puzzle Quest, moving from one point on the map to another offers a new chance to play a match at each stop. Once into the battles, you get down to playing Reversi, which works quite well. You take turns placing your color's markers onto a checkerboard-like grid, with the simple rule that putting a chip on either end of your opponent's chips turns all of his in between to your color. When the board gets filled up, the side with the most squares turned its color wins.

Good to Go: The changes made since the original Puzzle Quest make some welcome additions and improvements to the game. The new core mechanic built on Reversi offers a nice balance of being easy to learn while leaving plenty of complexity to master. And its simple nature makes the game flexible to being manipulated by the 150 Petpets (which take the place of magic from the first game) you can tame to help you out. Calling on these aides comes with a score penalty, helping to balance out their ability to change the tide of a game in a heartbeat. The developer also took some liberties with the playing board's design, mixing things up with irregular grid shapes instead of the usual square setup.

Warning Sign: No matter how you slice it, this is still a Neopets game. However strong the appeal to fans of the original may be, some will find that license too off-putting to get over. The cute characters and overall image of the brand might be hard to connect with for gamers past the usual demographic target for Neopets.

Lukewarm Afterglow: Finding and connecting with its audience poses the biggest threat to Neopets Puzzle Adventure. For many Neopets fans, its significance as a Puzzle Quest spin-off will carry little to no import. For them it will likely be all about the connection back to the Neopets world, which looks to be in good shape with the DS, PC, and Wii games offering unique unlockable items via in-game codes to use on the Neopets website. Puzzle Quest fans may find it a little more difficult to get into the new world. The cutsie Neopets play to a fairly young audience, but the actual game underneath it refines every rough edge of the original Puzzle Quest. Whether that is enough to attract those fans will be an interesting situation to watch as it develop.

NHL 2K9 Announced for Wii

Publisher 2K Sports announced Thursday that NHL 2K9, set for release this fall, will be the first officially licensed (NHL and NHLPA) hockey title on the Nintendo Wii. The Visual Concepts-developed title will use the Wii Remote as a hockey stick, with gesture-based controls added to the first Wii iteration of the long-running franchise.

"It's our goal this year to bring the fun back to hockey video games," said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. "NHL 2K9 for Wii includes the full feature set as available on other platforms, and added Wii Remote controls and other exciting features specific for the Wii console will allow dedicated fans the opportunity to fully enjoy and embrace NHL hockey in a brand new experience."

To commemorate the announcement, Nintendo icon Mario walked the red carpet at the 2008 NHL Awards in Toronto last night, greeting fans and spreading the word of the Wii. Washington Capitals winger Alexander Ovechkin, announced earlier this week as the cover athlete of the Russian version of competitor NHL 09, was awarded the Hart Memorial Trophy as the MVP of the National Hockey League.

E3 2008 is coming!

This year's E3 will take place July 15-17.
