Crysis 3: video game release set for spring 2013

Crysis 3 is a first-person shooter video game under development by Crytek, published by Electronic Arts for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and Xbox 360. How To Get A CS:GO Beta Key?

As of Feb 14, Valve announced that the top 7000 most active players of Counter-Strike: Source (CS:S) and CS 1.6 would receive free keys to the CS:GO closed beta in their Steam Inventory that week. Additionally, the top 500 most active players in the stress test phase of the beta received gift keys in their Steam Inventory as well. If you are not one of these lucky players, there are still ways to get a key.

First, Valve has announced that they will be distributing more keys in the coming weeks through prominent Counter-Strike community sites which will be giving them out as contests, promotions and giveaways. Second, even if you don’t snag a CS:GO beta key this way, Valve has posted a survey that you may fill out via Steam that will automatically enter you as a candidate for the CS:GO beta, and Valve is giving survey takers keys regularly.

#2nd step

Press Ctrl + Shift + J in Chrome to open the Developer Tools or Press Ctrl + Shift + K in Firefox (Here we have demonstrated the trick using Chrome). A pop up box(the Developer Tools) will appear at the bottom of the browser:

Counter Strike - a modification of Half Life into an action-packed online multiplayer game designed by Minh Le and Jesse Cliffe in 1999. At that time, Minh and Jesse have had no idea that their mod would become one of the most played and most successful online multiplayer games in the history of gaming industry. While the original Counter Strike has sold more than 25 million units and the figures are also increasing. On August, Valve's announcement of the development of a new game in the Counter Strike franchise has sent shockwaves all around the world generating a worldwide hype among the fans - Counter Strike: Global Offensive.

Counter Strike: Global Offensive (Also being referred as CS:GO) will be the 4th major game in the Counter Strike franchise after Counter Strike 1.6 (2003), Counter Strike: Condition Zero (March 2004) and Counter Strike: Source (November 2004). According to Steam, Counter Strike: Global Offensive will feature new maps, weapons and characters and it will deliver new and updated versions of the classic Counter Strike content like the maps de_dust etc. Add new matchmaking, leader boards, gameplay modes and more as these will be introduced in the Counter Strike: Global Offensive game.

Create your own Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 logo.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to create the text effect used in designing the logo of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare video game by using some simple Adobe Photoshop techniques.

Things required:

1. A PC/Laptop/Netbook
2. Adobe Photoshop (We have used Adobe Photoshop 7.0 in this tutorial)
3. Skills to operate mouse and keyboard (1)
4. A little patience(2).

#1st step - Create a new canvas in Adobe Photoshop.

Open a new blank canvas using File -> New (or using Ctrl + N) in Adobe Photoshop. It is recommended to use a large canvas to give us plenty of room to edit: 1280px width and 768px will do just fine (You can crop the canvas area later by cropping tool).

#2nd step - Fill the background layer.
We fill the Background layer with black (recommended, you can choose any color you want) by setting the "Foreground color" to black in the Tools Panel by choosing Edit -> Fill (while the Background layer is still the active layer in the Layers Panel) making sure that the Use option is set to "Foreground Color", and pressing OK. That will fill our Background layer with the desired color. Another way is by using the "Paint bucket" tool with color set to black. All you need to do is click on the canvas and the "Foreground color" will be changed to black.

#3rd step - Text editing.

Download the Bank Gothic Light BT font and install it in your computer(2) if you don’t have it. Choose the Horizontal Type Tool (T) from the Tools Panel. In the Options bar, set the font to Bank Gothic Light BT and change the color to white and set the font size to 100 pt or some size according to your need. Now, type whatever you wish like (which you want to convert into a logo).

#4th step - Adding a outer glow style.

We now change the settings of the text layer by adding the outer glow style. To add this style right click on the text layer in the layer menu in bottom right corner and click on "Blending options.." option.

Now DOUBLE CLICK on the "Outer glow" option and change the presets to the below mentioned settings:

Structure-
>Blend mode: Screen
>Opacity: 75%
>Noise: 0%
>Choose the Lime Green color (#00FF00)
Elements-
>Technique: Softer
>Spread: 0%
>Size: 55%
Quality-
>Range: 50%
>Jitter: 0%

#5th step - Creating a repeating pattern.

To complete the effect, we must create a Photoshop pattern that we’ll apply to our text. To do this, first create a new Photoshop document with the following settings. Note that the dimension of the canvas is very small, 1px width and 3px height.

By default, the Background layer of the new document will be locked an un-editable. Double-click on the Background layer from the layer menu in bottom right corner to open the New Layer dialog box. Press "OK", and the background layer will be unlocked and renamed to Layer 0.

Since the canvas is small, use the "Zoom Tool (Z)" to zoom in as close to the canvas as possible. Use the "Pencil Tool (B)" to draw a 1px black square box (change the pencil size from the settings toolbar that appears when you select the pencil tool) right in the middle of the canvas. Select the entire canvas using Select -> All (Ctrl + A). Choose Edit -> Define Pattern, and name it. Now we can switch back to our original canvas with our text and apply the repeating pattern we just created.

#5th step - Applying the repeating pattern.You should have now switched back to the original Photoshop document (and you can close the pattern document after defining it). Choose the "Pattern Stamp Tool (S)" from the Tools Panel.

In the Options bar, change the Clone Stamp Tool’s option to the settings below.
>Brush size: 155 px
>Mode: Normal
>Opacity: 10% (or according to your need)
>Flow: 100%
>Pattern: Choose the pattern we created in the previous step.

Now, take the clone stamp tool and draw/paint over your text.
Note: Click on "Yes" if asked to Rasterize your layer.

#6th step - Applying the green flares in the background of the text.
Click and open the image below in a new window/tab. Now, Right click and save it on your computer.

Now, open this image via Adobe Photoshop by going to File -> Open -> Locate the file on your disk, select it and press "Open".

Now, drag the Green flares to your original Text canvas and adjust its size and width according to your needs.

Experiment with the font and other blending options if you are good at Photoshop. This is what the final results can look like:

Procedure -

#1st step

Download Prey by going to their official site's download page for your device- http://preyproject.com/download (For Android users it is available in the Android Market)

#2nd step

Give your computer permissions to run the set-up of PREY.

If you are a first time user you will be stopped by a pop-up where you need to click "ok".

If you have already installed PREY in your system then you would be stopped by a pop-up like this. And by the way if you have already installed Prey in your system then WHY THE HELL ARE YOU READING THIS POST? Just kidding, read this post, at-least you will gain some tech knowledge.

#3rd step

After doing the above step your set-up will start. Click on "Next".

("Setup reporting method" is the option selected by default)

#4th step

Select your reporting method. By default it is "Prey + Control Panel" which is a recommended option as it is more easy to handle and more accessible.

As you are a new user click on "Next" which is again a default selected option.

A new window will appear in the set-up asking you "Your Name, E-mail address, Password (for access through the website), Device title and the Device type". Enter the details and click "Next" to finalize the set-up.

#5th step

Your account has been created. Now you would be stopped by a pop-up asking you to verify your E-mail address.

All you need to do is log-on to your E-mail address, click on the message, and then click on the verification link that is sent to you by PREY.

#6th step

How does PREY help if you lost your device?

Here I have demonstrated the procedure by marking my device as "Missing" in your configuration menu. As a result of marking the device as "Missing", Prey comes in action and starts tracking the required information that you set-up in the configuration menu.

It takes 20 minutes to track the device. After 20 minutes, the "Reports" button gets highlighted and all you need to do is click on "Reports", and an entire report of the device is made available to you with a recent screenshot and also the IP address of the net connection the thief has been using. YouTube video tricks revealed!

Sorry about that.", "To view this video or group, please verify that you are 18 or older by signing in or signing up.", "You are currently ineligible to view this content, please click "Back" and select another video."

Seeing these messages irritates us all on YouTube. In this post we show you how to overcome these barriers and see any video you like on YouTube with just using few tricks.

If you are staying in a country like India or US you may not be able to watch every video on YouTube - that's because the owners of that particular video allow access to that video only from certain countries or geographic regions or areas. If your computer's IP address falls outside that country or geographic region or area, YouTube will display an error saying "This video is not available in your country". Similarly some videos are protected by an age verification process by an age verification filter. You need to log in to prove your age and view the video.

1. "This video is not available in your country" or "The uploader has not made this video available in your country. Sorry about that."
The most irritating thing you see when you click on a video (specially in the movie or music channels) is the "This video is not available in your country" or the "The uploader has not made this video available in your country. Sorry about that." note.

#1st step

Copy the URL of the video from the address bar of your browser.

#2nd step
Open the website http://www.hidemyass.com/ . As the name of the website suggests, this website provides you a free proxy to surf anonymously online, hide your IP address, secure your internet connection, hide your internet history, and protect your online identity. After opening Hidemyass, paste the URL that you copied in 1st step in the space provided and click on the button "Hide my ass!" (as shown below)

#3rd step
You will be redirected to another webpage where the website uses Proxy servers to mask your country of origin i.e. in simple words it hides your location and IP address (This is how proxy works) and it uses its own Flowplayer to play the video. In this redirected page you can also see the number of "likes" and "dislikes", the "comments" made by the YouTube users and also the number of "views" of that video.

NOTE: You can also use Hidemyass and follow the same steps to unblock YouTube or any other site at School, work, the library, or any other firewall protected place.(1)

2. "To view this video or group, please verify that you are 18 or older by signing in or signing up." or "You are currently ineligible to view this content, please click "Back" and select another video."

The second most irritating thing is to see the age restriction note. These two notes appear when you are below the required age to view that video. Generally videos are restricted on the basis of age due to The video you have requested has been rated either Strong language, Brief or partial nudity, Sexual conduct, Violence or injury, Drug reference or Flashing lights. There are two ways to view the videos which have age restriction on them:

First way

The first way is viewing these videos directly in YouTube just by making few changes in the URL of the video. Just with few minor changes in the URL you can see the video overcoming the age restriction set by YouTube. Moreover there is no need to be logged on to view the video. (Here I have demonstrated the trick by taking the "Assassin's Creed 2 - Launch Trailer video")

#1st step
Laugh while pointing at your computer screen when this error/note appears because you are going to view this video anyhow.(1)

#2nd step
Change the URL of the video " http://www.youtube.com/verify_age?next_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fuser%2FAssassinsCreed%23p%2Fu%2F17%2FUBzWURM02Ks". You will have to change it to a new URL, by removing everything after “youtube.com/” up to the id of the Video; such as UBzWURM02Ks in this case and also removing the “%2F” and replacing it with a “v/”.

You will see your video in full screen and that too within YouTube. Sit back and enjoy!! Thus, just by adding and removing few alphabets and symbols, you would be able to see the video with no errors/notes/restrictions.

Second way (Not recommended)

This method is also like the previous method i.e. involving editing the URL of the video but is not recommended as it uses another website to make the video watchable. Moreover I personally do not recommend this method due to the Sexually explicit content and advertisements on the website.

#1st step

Curse YouTube a little and again laugh while pointing at your computer screen when this error/note comes because you are going to view this video anyhow.(1)

#2nd step

Make some changes in the URL of the video. Initially the URL is looks somewhat similar to this "http://www.youtube.com/verify_age?next_url=http%3A//www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DVIDEO-ID". Now, just add the letters "nsfw" after "www." i.e. just before "youtube.com/....VIDEO-ID".

#3rd step

You will be redirected to another site where you would be able to view the video without any age restriction. Thus, just by adding few alphabets, you would be able to see the video with no errors/notes/restrictions.

Now you know the secret to view almost every video on YouTube that is watchable but is blocked due to some reason.

Note: Although there is a free browser called Mgeni, which works in combination with the anonymous browsing tool Tor (also suitable for sites other than YouTube, for eg. American TV portal Hulu) and it also masks your country of origin but I do not recommend using that browser because it is not actually doing anything to protect your privacy. GTA 4 - Lag problem fixed!! (For ancient PC)

At first GTA 4 had killed my computer and then I did the following:

1. Make a .txt file in your gta root folder called commandline and type in the following:

-width 800

-height 600

-refreshrate 60

-novblank

-texturequality 0

-renderquality 0

-viewdistance 0

-detailquality 0

-shadowdensity 0

-nomemrestrict

-norestrictions

-availablevidmem 2.0

-percentvidmem 100

-noprecache

-safemode

-fullscreen

-minspecaudio

2. Download the contig.exe that will basically defragment the huge gta 4 folder to make it easier accessible for your computer:

a) Download the contig.exe

b) Copy the contig file to your gta 4 root (default installation) folder and then create a shortcut of it on your desktop.

c) Right click on the contig on your desktop and rename it to whatever you want.

d) Right click on the contig on your desktop , then select properties and then on the end of the game path add "-s" withouth the quotes and make sure that you have made a spyce between the path and the -s.

e) Then run the contig on your desktop and wait for it to finish, it should be working for about 20 minutes depending on your CPU speed.

3. Download gamebooster and run it (it is a free software that makes a lot of difference in gaming):

4. Download Gta 4 downgrader:

a) First download it (Link:http://www.filestube.com/3280ed0871ed5d1503ea/go.html)
> NOTE: The archived file will ask you for a password, the password is 1234

b) Then put it in your gta4 root folder and run it.

c) After it has finished restart your pc.

5. Download the Texture replacement :

a) Download it (Link:http://rapidshare.com/#!download|562l36|186766678|gtxd.rar|29609 OR http://filetram.com/4shared/gtxd-gtaiv-rar-3607960729)

b) Put it in your GTA 4 folder in C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\pc\data\cdimages and replace the original file (or better do a backup of it).

6. Then when you are ingame open the task manager and then go to processes and eng the launchgtaiv.exe and the explorer.exe , and then right click on the gtaiv.exe process and set the priority to realtime.

7. Download it (http://rapidshare.com/files/176145887/visualSettings.dat) place this file in your Grand Theft Auto IV/Common/Data/ this will reduce the weather effects = +10 fps.

WARNING :

* Try these tools on your risk, I am not responsible for any kind of damage to your "Ancient PC".

* Please make a back-up of those files which you are going to replace for fixing lag.

* By applying visualsettings.dat and gta 4 texture patch you are going to ruin your graphics (low settings), so don't complain about low graphics.

Many people ask me how do I tell a player his exact health! Well, we will tell you how to know a player's health in just few steps without the use of any script or any bookmarklet. The trick lies in New York's boss fights which are in the following job tiers:

#1st step:

Promote the mafia (whose health you want to know) to the "BODYGUARD" or "MASTERMIND" position in the top mafia.

#2nd step:

Go to any of the above New York job tiers namely Street Thug, Associate, Soldier or Enforcer and do the boss fight.
Here I have demonstrated the trick in the "Enforcer" job tier by doing the Confront Agostino Cleto boss fight.

#3rd step:
After clicking on the "Fight" icon, you will see the boss fight in which the Mafia names and health of your "BODYGUARD" and "MASTERMIND" can be seen on the left hand side of the boss fight; as they take hits for you initially during the fight.

Now you know the trick of how to know a player's health.
