I mean, if it was up to me (and the gods know it isn't) every post would be about either user interface design or how fucking stupid [choose one: Deadmau5 or the guy that ripped off Deadmau5] is. And really, I can't be bothered with the latter; that story is made out of 100% pure Sadface FTL.

And let me just say that the Google Analytics shit ain't helping nobody. The top three stories on AI, by any of the several metrics they offer, are this one (my Mopho mini-review), this one, (I know, right?) and this, which is just some random thoughts about the Prism Orpheus, a box I don't even own and have never tried, which means the post was just me talking out my ass. (Like so many great bloggers before me. This apple doesn't stray far from the tree.)

Now, I know from cross-referencing that the Mopho review and the Orpheus rambling are direct results of the Godzilla-sized Google footprint this site has. If you search for either the Orpheus or the Mopho in Google, you're gonna get either of those pages early on in your search fiesta. So that leaves the Sarah Palin bullshit post as essentially the most read thing on AI. This is unnerving on so many different levels. Just for fun, the most popular individual story prior to those three is my re-posting of the Fatman's Captain Beefheart thing, which makes a certain amount of sense, given that it is one of the few things I've posted that is both good advice and 100% true.

In any case, the reason I was looking at this data and trying to make sense of it is that some time in the not-too-distant future we're going to swap Old And Busted out with the New Hotness, and there are some extra sections and I was looking for how I should fill 'em. Also, too, (you see what I did there?) I feel that I've been meandering lately, and wanted to tighten the focus of my writing a bit.

The one thing I can say with certainty is that it is impossible for me to determine simply by looking at Google Analytics what you guys like, as most of you are refresh monkeys that just hit the front page whenever your RSS reader of choice tells you there's a new post. So the index page accounts for 99.6% of all page views. I know from experience what engenders the most comments, that's for sure. So if I just want to generate traffic, this'll become "Analog Industries: 100% Font Talk, All Fonts All The Time!"

I swear to god, though, I'm never gonna post another picture of a synth unless I bought it. (And wait until you see what's coming down the pike: Pimp My CS5...) ...

Heidi Klum and Guitar Hero - NOT a Strat-o-Sister

A Stratoblogster public service reminder to you that real girls with real guitars really exist.

Check out our Strat-o-Sisters Directory for evidence that the central scrutinizers don't want you to know. Early in my pre-guitar playing youth, I used to come home from school and play the Etch-a-Sketch to my Hendrix albums. During the solos, I would try to keep up, making stair-step things or EKG-like lines trying to emulate what the riffs "looked" like.

It wasn't until later with the introduction of malted beverages & ______ that jumping around playing air guitar or a tennis racket took over, ultimately leading to harder substances (real guitars). But in the very beginning I was drawing guitar solos on my Etch-a-Sketch.

Did anyone else ever do this? Probably not huh...

If anyone else really ever did this, let's get together and start a nifty little cult ok.

Note: The above story is true.
