It is our desire, as a fulfillment of God’s unfolding plan, to bring a new little girl from China into our family. Her name is TuYuan and she is two years old. We have nicknamed her Tulip until another name can be decided upon. Tulip has Down Syndrome which in China is considered a curse on a family. Adam and I do not believe Tulip is cursed — we believe she is beautiful and perfect despite her imperfection.

We are so thankful for the opportunity to be partnered with Wild Olive Tees. It is our sincere prayer that God will be glorified through this process. Feel free to visit our family blog — you can find a few pictures of Tulip and more of our story there!

We’re excited to introduce another Wild Olive Fundraising Family.

The Wild Olive Adoption Fundraising Program was born out of our passion for the orphan. The goal of this program is to help raise support to enable families to adopt a child. God calls His people to care for the widow and orphan and it makes us smile big to play a small part in helping orphans find a forever family.

Meet the Sexton family who is in the process of adopting domestically…

We are Cory and Anna Sexton. We have been married for 8 years, and we have two boys, Chase and Ryland. We love to spend time together, and are always looking for fun, new adventures. Adoption is something that we had talked about on and off for several years, but this time God really put it on our hearts and made our path clear to us.

We started the adoption process this summer and we couldn’t be more excited! We are trusting the Lord that he will provide for us, and trusting him to help us through this process and bring home baby sister.

Meet another Wild Olive Fundraising Family!

The Wild Olive Adoption Fundraising Program was born out of our passion for the orphan. The goal of this program is to help raise support to enable families to adopt a child. God calls His people to care for the widow and orphan and it makes us smile big to play a small part in helping orphans find a forever family.

Meet the Brown family who is in the process of adopting a little girl with special needs from Bulgaria…

Before Paul and Maria married, they discussed one day adopting or becoming foster parents. The “plan” was to have all their biological children first, but God interjected in October 2011. Maria read about Reece’s Rainbow on a homeschooling blog. She promptly followed the link to Reece’s to read about the ministry and the numerous families who were choosing to adopt children born with down syndrome, prenatally infected HIV, and other special needs. Her first instincts were to doubt that this was something Paul and her could ever do. By this time, they had two biological children under five, but knowing they wanted more, Maria continued to read daily about other families and their journeys of faith to rescue children with special needs from orphanages around the world.

Several months later, not able to shake the feeling that adoption was intended for their family, they started their homestudy without a specific child identified. Together, Paul and Maria discussed the additional medical care, the extra therapies, and the life long hands-on care of children with disabilities and institutional delays. Months of prayerfully considering different children and several failed attempts at committing to particular children, God lead Maria to the most desperate of situations. Children with varying special needs were “found” living in an orphanage under conditions the country’s government compared to Auschwitz: children suffering from extreme malnutrition to be kept small and manageable, laying in their diapers for days, the smell of death and disease. It was clear that this was the orphanage they were to adopt from. The daughter that God chose for them, Gemma, is five years old. She is roughly the size of a 12 month old baby. With the improvements in care at her orphanage, Gemma is being taken from her crib to play and is learning to sit up and crawl. Her underlying diagnoses are vague, and it is unclear how the extreme conditions she has lived in will affect her long-term growth, or her mental development.

Paul, Maria, and their two children at home can’t wait to welcome her home. They pray daily that the process continues smoothly and that Gemma, and the others in her orphanage, remain safe until they are brought home. Additionally, they want to continue to advocate for the millions of orphans worldwide and tell anyone who will listen about adoption. You can follow their blog here.

Meet the Anderson Family, who is in the process of adopting two little boys with special needs from China…

Hey y’all! We are the Anderson family. We have three biological kiddos: 18 yrs, 16 yrs and 13 yrs old. We began our first adoption journey in 2005 and have since adopted 3 more times. We are truly blessed to have been called by God to add to our family through adoption.

As soon as we told God that we were through adding to our family HE just laughed! We saw our son Griggs and knew he was our son! God opened all the needed doors to begin his adoption and placed it on our hearts that there is another little kiddo waiting for us in China too. We were then matched with our son Hagan!

Soon after we were matched with Hagan, we received photos from their orphanage. Our boys were together in a foster family! Brothers from here on out! Thank you, Jesus!

We are praying to have our boys home early spring of 2013!

Thank you for your support financially and spiritually! Please follow our journey on our blog here!

The Wild Olive Adoption Fundraising Program was born out of our passion for the orphan. The goal of this program is to help raise support to enable families to adopt a child. God calls His people to care for the widow and orphan and it makes us smile big to play a small part in helping orphans find a forever family.

Meet the Joss Family, who is in the process of adopting a girl with special needs from Taiwan…

We are the Joss family! God has blessed us in amazing ways… ways we could never even have imagined! Our oldest daughter was placed with us via foster care when she was 13 days old. Three long years later, we were able to officially adopt her. In the meantime, Daniel and then Lizzy were born. After James was born, God called us to rescue twin boys, Juan and Rudy, in Guatemala, who were almost exactly the same age as James – virtual triplets! Juan had some physical needs that were able to be corrected here. We thought we were done, but God just smiled and gave us Rosie to love. After Rosie, He called us a little farther to Ethiopia to claim Jeremy as our own. We thought we were getting the hang of this!

Then God called us to a new adventure, one that would test our hearts and faith as nothing else. Little Mercy Anne was born with an extremely rare chromosomal deletion. For awhile it looked like we would only be able to hold her for a short time before she went home to Jesus, but God, in His mercy, allowed us to keep our Mercy. Loving Mercy has opened our hearts to adopting more children with special needs… but first God gave us William to make us laugh!

Our adventure continues as God has called us to rescue a little girl who has been in a Taiwan orphanage for 4 years. Sweet little Yu-Chi was born with cerebral palsy, but at six weeks old, she was so severely abused that she now has 70% brain death. She will always need the love and tender care of her family – we are so honored that Christ has called us to serve Him this way! We are “walking the lonely” road of multiple adoptions, when it is harder to raise support – so we appreciate the gift of this opportunity to help cover the funds necessary.

To Christ be the glory!
