With wedding season upon us, one of my favorite venues combined forces with a local catering team to provide an upscale tasting for future clients. I’m thrilled to be able to decorate for events like these, since I can fully embrace local, seasonal blooms + my favorites. It’s a great way to show off lots of pieces in my rental stock as well, as individual weddings only choose a few pieces, or just may not realize how many pieces I truly have! Guests were treated to beautifully plated food, amazing music, lavish florals, sweet desserts + crafted beer & cocktails. Of course, I sampled as well, so yummy!

Springtime. This lovely shoot, happened to be a mix of something organic & wild & natural to use for inspiration for my new website design & launch | & also the fleeting beauty of capturing my little gal growing up before my eyes. Hard to believe this was almost exactly 1 year ago…but great websites take time….or maybe it was just one more project that pushed itself to the bottom of the endless to do pile…either way, I’m so happy to look back at my lovely lady & the start to the new beginning of my rebrand. I’m embracing more local grown flowers than ever before, growing more, spending time finding even more unique varieties, & developing color stories for each project I undertake. The next big one…the complete transformation of our really beautiful but old, farmhouse & studio.

Brianna & Justin | Beech Springs Farm wedding

Brianna & Justin. Where to begin! The sweetest gal who is an AMAZING photographer! Any client of mine would be thrilled by her work! She has a gentle southern soul, a beautiful outlook on life, a smile always gracing her face, & the most loving guy by her side. I adored so much about her wedding day, from her Audrey Hepburn styled dress, to her southern belle charm, to her regal color palette that just took your breath away. Some favorite bouquets & florals to date, but where my heart fluttered were the guys’ boutonnières. Simply stunning. White anemones with the most perfect magenta, black, & gold accents. Using lots of local dahlias & berries + gorgeous roses, astilbe & eucalyptus foliage. Lovely.

Jess & Jeff | Farm at Eagles Ridge wedding

Jess & Jeff are two people just meant for each other. They adore life, each other, and their family and friends like non other. Both are foodies, world travelers, pet lovers, & just all around genuine & lovely. I loved how they embraced a vintage travel theme for their wedding, while pairing food elements into their florals as well. A super eclectic, stunning event that was uniquely them. Loads of local dahlias & amaranths + garden roses, asclepias, herbals, privet, artichokes & concord grapes + quirky Lego men & bowties became an affair well remembered. Beautiful classic navy, brick red, golden yellow & dusty grey set the tone for a stunning fall day.

Michelle & Jason | Booking House wedding

These two | one of the friendliest easy going couples I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Michelle chose a classic ivory | black | gold palette pairing with florals in shades of blush, crimson, champagne & creme. Romantic, vintage elements gave the wedding a nod to old Hollywood glam, while updated details like gold square chargers & mismatched gold patterned votive candles gave a modern edge. Seasonal blooms were everywhere. Favorites included local grown dahlias, hydrangea, privet berry, + the the new fall crop of ranunculus, garden roses, anemones & the most gorgeous ligustrum berry. And the food… American comfort fall favorites {mac & cheese, sliders, & fries anyone} while paired with classic crab cakes + prime rib + apple crisp & a tot truck. Food mecca!

Kaila & Ryan | Moonstone Manor wedding

The loveliest wedding full of southern charm, vintage furniture, gorgeous dahlias & sparkly details quickly became one of our favs. The most gorgeous fall day, beautiful sunlight & sunset, complete with a sprawling lawn & brownstone Victorian. Kaila & Ryan exchanged vows surrounded by all their family & friends, danced the night away, sent off wish lanterns & even chose to partake in an old Southern tradition of burying bourbon a month prior to their big day. Unearthed during the ceremony, it did indeed keep the rain away! A beautiful palette of blush & wine + soft grey & greens, golds, ivory & champagne were a perfect match. And sparkling table numbers paired with our gold rental stands & mercury glass vessels gave an elegant sophistication to a day all about love & family & really really great night!

Emily & Joe | Ironstone Ranch

Emily & Joe are a couple I first met at Emily’s sister’s wedding a year prior. Both are such lovely girls, with 2 very different personalities & visions for their day. I love being able to work with families I’ve gotten to know over the years, it’s just extra special! Luckily, I have a another set of sister’s weddings this year too!! Emily wanted a glam rustic chic feel to her day | mixing vintage milk glass & old books with organically styled blooms. Hints of gold & mint & coral added a beautiful combo with the loveliest shades of blush, creme, ivory, apricot, & peach blooms. Local dahlias were a star, paired with the always faboulus peach Juliet garden rose. Billowy ranunculus, soft dusty miller & gorgeous white snowberry added the final touch.

Meagan & Caleb | Stone Mill Inn wedding

This super sweet gal & her groom is a dear friend & an amazing wedding photographer too! Meagan & Caleb chose the lovely Stone Mill Inn for their wedding day, utilizing a bold plan with an al fresco reception in the lawn. Lucky for her, a perfect day unfolded with soaring blue skies & plenty of sunshine! Meagan chose a harmonious palette full of her favorite colors, deep rich plums & crimsons paired with sage green & gold. A perfect combo for a transitional fall wedding. Organic, shabby chic, & hints of woodland southern belle are how I think of Meagan’s style, & everything from the flower girl crowns & boots, to silk ribbons, to wood slices & mason drinking jars + paired with tables overflowing with blooms brought her vision to life. I couldn’t be happier.

Jeff & Liz | Swiss Woods B&B wedding

When you combine two amazingly talented creative people, magic just happens. Liz is a beautiful fashion designer | Jeff is a wedding photographer who I’ve had the honor of knowing for many years & has become a dear friend. His work is simply stunning. The handprint below is another one of his many talents. Together these two crafted many many details for their wedding, {Liz even made her own dress} & I love that it’s uniquely theirs. Both approached me about flowers | wanting something with a southern chic rustic vibe, lots of organic qualities, soft tonal peaches & apricots, & including their love of ferns + enhancing the wooded grounds of the lovely chalet style B&B. Swiss Woods is a gorgeous inn with some of the the nicest owners & pup! imaginable. The always amazing team at Brooke Courtney Photography captured the images here.

Julie & Matt | Cork Factory Hotel wedding

Simple, carefree, understated are words to describe Julie & Matt’s wedding day. The always beautiful Cork Factory Hotel has a great beginning for weddings. Loads of exposed brick & beams, it allows candles to simply glow in the space. An instant classic. Like these two. Julie chose to go with locally sourced blooms, a wildflower look, & fragrant herbals & lace details to enhance her vision. Wanting lots of shades of pink & being completely open to anything else seasonal & romantic. Candles were a must, as were small vintage type bottles holding various blooms. Simple jam jars mixed with milk glass completed her vintage romantic look.
