&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"&gt;Finally, the most common gift on this day of the heart, happens to be chocolate (also very good for your heart!!).&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

The upward trend (or downward spiral) has been relentless. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Ten years ago, we set a series of goals called "Healthy People 2010". Part of that set of goals was to reduce obesity to 15%. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Really? &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;We can't even stop our mounting obesity epidemic from exploding through the roof. Whatever the health authorities are doing to address the problem is not working. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;We need a new plan; a new way of thinking.  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;div&gt;Dairy is a funny thing. We have, in our culture, made dairy a bad thing. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;In other cultures, they eat normal cheese after meals; normal yogurt in the morning; and normal butter as an adjunct to their sauces. These are cultures that are thin, more heart healthy than we with our "prudent" pyramid, theoretical approach, and live longer than we do (men and women).&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Someone somewhere is not doing something right ... guess which one of us is the one that is confused!!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Check out the Mediterranean approach, which does NOT reflect someone's theory about how your body SHOULD work, in principle. It reflects what is currently working for millions of thin, healthy people. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
