Abbeville Estate – Auckland Wedding Venue

Welcome to Abbeville Estate, Auckland’s newest wedding venue. Always ones for curiosity, we invited ourselves for a tour and walk around the picturesque estate. Sue, the lovely owner of The Great Catering Company, kindly showed us around with pride and joy. Driving along a tree lined driveway, we got excited at our first glimpse of carefully restored chapel, at the corner of our eyes we noticed the most picture-perfect red barn. If this wasn’t enough to make us wish we were shooting a wedding on this day, the boutique homestead was. And we haven’t even got the meticulous details that add to the history of Abbeville’s 150 year old heritage. As we discovered each piece of photographer’s delight, on more than one occasion during our visit, we found ourselves itching with the ideas and opportunities we could use on an actual wedding here. This goes onto our seriously recommend list for venues.

We’re proud to exclusively offer the beautiful, hand-crafted, Queensberry albums with our photography packages. Queensberry is a local company, just a couple of minutes away from our studio, however they cater to photographers around the world. We’ve just taken delivery of three new Queensberry albums, just in time for the Bride & Groom show. There are three main types of albums; Classic Matted, Digital Flushmount and a mixture of the two, Duo. Queensberry also make digital copies (basically a mini digital flushmount, either 5 or 7″ in size). There are endless options for covers, with funky leathers – as we chose below, Vanilla Bean & Powder Blue micro leather.

Auckland Studio Portraits – Family Fun

I was greeted by these these young men with a flying hug from each of them. Needless to say, I knew that shyness would be no issue in their portrait session. This family radiates love, laughter and a huge dose of character. It was so much fun to hang out with everybody, and we can’t wait to have them back.
