Well Hello!!  Hi Everyone....hope you are having a great week.  I also hope you had as much fun as I did with the Embellish Color Challenge with Owls.   A big thanks to Ashley for providing those amazingly cute owls.  I couldn't resist printing and using the little guy on my cards rather than the owl stamps I do have.

Hi All.  Just wanted to share a mini set of cards I made to donate to a fundraiser for a good cause (although that's obvious right?  Why would anyone have a fundrasiser for a bad cause?  LOL).  It's a super easy layout and a little quirky with a bunch of fun colours.  The glitter card bases are DCWV which I bought a couple of years ago and never got around to using them until now.   You gottla love the glitter without the mess.

Thank you so much to my fellow Loonie girls for planning the surprise birthday hop for me yesterday.  I really was duped and had no idea because my friends know I usually like to just have a nice low key birthday without the attention.  Since my b-day was Nov 3 I really was surprised on the 6th when I discovered what you all did.  Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.  It was fun to spend my morning hopping when I should have been cleaning.  Haha.  Next year I am going to be 40 (WHAT?!!!) so it's probably best everyone just ducks and hides for that one.  LOL. 

I thought I'd share this card with you that I made a little while ago so that you all know I am sending hugs-n-kisses to each and every one of you that visit me and are just so incredibly supportive of me! 

BTW-----the winner of the Papertrey Anniversary set hasn't contacted me.  Does anyone know Denise?  You can see her comment here by scrolling to the bottom of my post.  It doesn't appear that she has a blog and I don't have an email address as I deleted all the emails I get when notified of the comments.  Anywho....if I don't hear from Denise by Nov 13 I will re-draw for it.  I will be away next week for work and won't be back till the evening of the 13th.  Have a WONDERFUL weekend everyone!!

Pink, Orange and Red.  Amazing right?!  Dee you are brilliant and I LOVE these colours together.  I used a toned down orange (Summer Sunrise) and Berry Sorbet and just a smidgen of red.  Oh yeah baby....LOVE!!  Isn't it great when someone decides the colours for you....makes life easy!

The sentiment was originally on a journal strip (Cosmo Cricket) that comes on a 12x12 sheet.  I trimmed it out which is a perfect way to make those items you think can only go on a scrapbook page work on a card.  You know I am all about the cards!

Challenge time!!  We'd love for you to play along with this week's Elzybells Challenge.  Just make a card using Steph chosen requirements and leave a link to your creation on Elizabeth's blog.  You are going to love this one........

Tempting textures  - use various textures / materials and /or ribbons somewhere on your card.

I had alot of fun with this and went a little crazy with all kinds of textures.  You can see that I sewed felt on to a block of cardstock and then adhered that to a card base.

I used this green GLITTER paper which has a nice rough texture.  Then there is the white flocked lace for a nice velvety feel and just look at that trim.....tons of texture there.  Let's not forget those adorable little rhinestones.  Told ya....I couldn't stop myself from adding more and more.  Haha.

For my card I went back to my very favorite Elzybells stamp of all time!  There is no question that this is the stamp that made me fall in love with Elzybells.  It's called A Winter Song and you can find it here.  A true must have in my opinion.

Happy Halloween everyone!!  So is everyone handing out candy tonight to the little ghosts and goblins?  What candy did you buy and are you eating most of it yourself??  Haha.  

  

ETA:  Apparently I am still in a vacation coma.   When scheduling this post I left it in draft form and I didn't even write anything on my Loonie post below.  Sorry about that.  I am now home from being at my sisters for the week and will try to get back to my routine....actually I need to get organized and be better than my normal routine...wish me luck!  haha.

 

Hey Everyone!  I had a really great time with the above Embellish challenge.  The colours are amazing and I still can't get over the colour map that Ashley came up with.  Can you believe she took the picture of the shoes herself?  Amazing. 

   

I have 2 cards to share with you.  The one above uses a piece of chipboard that I rounded the corners on and then attached the ribbon.  Both were originally white and then I sprayed it with Memories Metallic Mist.  The one below uses the very same colours and rhinestone accents.  It's interesting how different a card can look even using the same elements.

I bought these black Martha Stewart die cut card bases last year in clearance and decided to use one.  Great....now I only have 7 left.  Haha.  Does anyone else feel guilt over unused product?!  I know I do yet it doesn't seem to stop me from buying more and more schtuff.  Will I ever learn?  Is it just an addiction I need to accept?
