This can be used to paint any fur on your Spacewolves or any furry miniature like your Wulfen, Fenrisian Wolves, Thunderwolves, Warg, Gore-Gruntas and Boarboys.

Hi Everyone,

In this video I will demonstrate how I paint green skin tones, which you can use to paint your Orcs, Orks and Orruks miniatures. I also cover how I paint Ork teeth and eyes.

Orks have got to be one of the coolest 40K armies there are. Their sculpts are so much fun to paint.

I painted this as a test piece to try out some different skin tones before I want ahead and started painting a small Ork army for my son, so we can get some games in. Especially as the new 9th edition of 40K is just around the corner.

I hope you enjoyed this little video and it encourages you to give it a go yourself. Whether you’re painting a display piece or starting to prepare your Orc, Ork or Orruk army ready for Age of Sigmar or the new 40k 9th edition.

Hi Everyone,

In this video I show you how I go about painting freehand Ultramarine symbols on a Space Marine shoulder pad.

Here are some reference images for you to use while you’re hopefully following along:

Right… so… freehand whether you love it, hate it, fear it, it’s a brilliant way to give your army battle leader or character that extra little detail to make them stand out from the rest of your army on the table top or show off your painting skills on your display figures and competition entries.

If you are going to do it for a competition entry though you have to make sure that it is perfect, or a judge is going to spot it a mile off…. so no pressure!

Now I doubt you’re going to want to do this on every single figure in your army, well some of you might, but for rank and file I’d probably say stick to using transfer sheets if you’ve got them or just use some of the brilliant moulded shoulder pads available from Games Workshop these days, or maybe a mix of both could be a good look?

This video can obviously be used as a ‘how to paint pale skin human faces’ video so feel free to use for painting any of your Space Marines or Astra Militarum (Imperial Guard) or human figures from any game system.

For basic troopers and rank and file you can just miss out some of the steps. I’ll do more on faces and explore different skin tones in the future videos.

Apologies if the quality of the video footage isn’t as good as previous videos…. I decided to fiddle with my camera settings with the intention of improving quality…. but I wish I hadn’t bothered.

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to my Ragnar Blackmane Paint Along Series Part 1 – Preparation.

I know it’s not as fun as the painting, but when you’re painting a display or competition piece it’s important to take your time preparing the miniature and planning the colour schemes.

I’m a huge Space Wolves fan and have been collecting them for 28 years. I’ll be posting regular videos where you can watch me paint Ragnar Blackmane from the Prophecy of the Wolf boxset made by Games Workshop and I’m really hoping it will inspire you to join in.

I’ve been waiting a long time for Ragnar Blackmane to be released, Darren Latham has done an amazing job sculpting my favourite 40K character.

Papa Nurgle sends his love children…

It’s been a while I know. After a very long painting hiatus, I’m back.

I’ve finally launched my painting gallery on here today with first display miniature I’ve painted in a couple of years, the Age of Sigmar – Lord of Blights from Games Workshop.

Such a brilliant sculpt by David Waeselynck and one I’ve wanted to paint since it first came out… but I’ve always shied away from painting Nurgle characters.

So I jumped at the chance to dust off my Series 7’s and follow along with the YouTube Lord of Blights Masterclass by my good friend, super talented sculptor and all time favourite painter Darren Latham.

Now I’ve never been a fast painter, I started painting this figure in the 2019 Christmas holidays, so about 5 months is pretty good for me and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

If you get a chance to watch these videos by Darren, do it. They are sadly being taken down in May 2020 and his YouTube channel will be closed, so you have a few weeks left to have a look-see.

I have personally learnt a lot from watching them and I think my painting has improved considerably… now that’s not me blowing my own trumpet, I know I’m probably not in the Golden Demon trophy league of painting but what I mean is from just putting it next to figures I painted a couple of years ago I can see a big jump and this has got me excited about painting again.

I’m already planning my next project and ways to make sure I don’t get stuck in a painting rut again…. now this Covid 19 pandemic has slightly hindered me starting it (any guesses as to what miniature it is going to be?) but once the world returns to normal I will be ploughing straight into it.
