Inside Mount

When you mount your new window blinds inside a frame, your accurate measurements mean your blinds won’t catch against the frame. To ensure accuracy, take measurements from the top, middle and bottom of your window frame and write down the smallest width to the nearest 1/8 inch.

Then, measure the height in three places and record the longest of the three measurements, again rounded down 1/8 inch. You should also measure the depth that you will require.

Don’t do deductions or any other measurement yourself; leave this to the manufacturers instead. Simply give them the measurements you have taken and they will provide your window blinds to the correct size.

Still they provide the look and feel of wooden blinds. Cheap faux wood blinds have lot of advantages. Some of which are as follows: * Cheap faux wood blinds provide the look and feel of wooden blinds.

* Cheap faux wood blinds cost less than wooden blinds. * Cheap faux wood blinds last longer.

* Cheap faux wood blinds do not warp. They do not fade or crack.

* Cheap faux wood blinds do not retain moisture like wooden blinds. They are particularly good in areas where moisture is high. * Cheap faux wood blinds are very durable.

* Cheap faux wood blinds come in various colors and tones.

Wood Blinds or Venetian Blinds

When deciding on window treatments for privacy, the first item that comes to mind is blinds. Blinds are a terrific solution for providing privacy and light control.

But which do you choose? Wood, shutters or venetian blinds?

Good question.

It comes down to budget and style. Today, you can find unlimited styles in wood blinds. You can find all kinds of colors and wood stains and styles. If you have a specific design, wood blinds are going to be your best bet. They look great, stylish, current and won't bend or wear like venetian blinds.

Another great idea is wood shutters. Now shutters are really nice when you want to cover the bottom half of a window. They're really designed for providing privacy and allowing you a view and light through the top half of your window.

Sometimes you'll find a window have 2 sets of shutters. One for the top half and one for the bottom half.

If you're on a budget, venetian blinds might be ok. I have to say I'm not a major fan because with kids they can easily bend.
