<p>1. Virtual Infrastructure &#8211; I use VMware server to host the Linux/NetApp and Citrix XenServer 5.5 for the iSCSI connection testing.</p>
<p>2. Linux OS that will host our NetApp &#8211; In this case, I use free ubuntu 9.1 server.</p>
<p>Here are the detailed steps :</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Installation of Ubuntu 9.10 Server</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Login to VMWare Server 2.0</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.techfirstsolution.net/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/vm1.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-371 aligncenter" title="vm1" src="http://www.techfirstsolution.net/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/vm1-300x124.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="124" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Select DataStore</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"> <a href="http://www.techfirstsolution.net/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/vm2.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-372 alignnone" title="vm2" src="http://www.techfirstsolution.net/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/vm2-300x183.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="183" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"> Select Linux (Ubuntu 32bit) OS</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">Assign CPU and Memory allocation</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.techfirstsolution.net/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/vm4.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-380" title="vm4" src="http://www.techfirstsolution.net/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/vm4-300x183.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="183" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"> Create New Disk</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.techfirstsolution.net/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/vm5.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-383" title="vm5" src="http://www.techfirstsolution.net/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/vm5-300x184.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="184" /></a></p>
