How to run Javascript in Firefox Web Developer

If you want to test a Javascript direct from your browser that it is a good idea to run it from the Firefox Web Developer panel to enter this use the keys shown below in the example JavaScript:alert, this will execute showing the resulting window below.

You can use this method on social websites like facebook to invite all your friends to a group or event using javascript.

To use either this script click invite all friends button on your group and then scroll down to the bottom of your list, this ensures that all of your friends are selected.

This may take upto 30 seconds depending upon how many friends you have, when all are selected, you will see the Javascript Alert windows then press the Submit button.

I believe that there used to be a firefox plugin called FaceTweak.xpi that did the same but I believe that this only worked on the old facebook API I have not yet tried it because I like experimenting with javascript, or you can use this InviteThemAll script run through another facebook plug called Greasemonkey.xpi I would also install Quickjava.xpi along with greasemonkey to enable easier control of your Javascript ( also includes Java, Flash, Silverlight and CSS)

How to setup Google +1 badge on your website

This can be a bit tricky unless you create a page then you might have two which you don't really want as this can get confusing. Here is a simple method using HTML and your unique Google + 1 account number this will be a 21 digit number that you get when you upgrade your account @ https://plus.google.com/ all you need to do is click on your profile to get this

Here is an example square sharing button for www.charityfonts.org, there are other type but this has been used for this example

How to setup Google ads on Tumblr

Using Google's Blogger the simple way is to use an adsense widget on the design template using this method is 100% safe and as long as you have a valid adsense account you new adverts should appear within 10 mins of posting however this process could take upto 24hrs if you still can't see you advert then there maybe a problem its a good idea to use their Google Ads troubleshooter

Using Tumblr microblogging however does not have the ability to use widgets so the process is a bit more complicated there are two ways to attempt it, either directly into the theme template or via CSS, both require the creation of a new Adsense unit to get the HTML to paste into your tumblr account.

First you need to ad these lines of code to your customCSS, you may need to change the height and width this is setup for (728x15) Displays up to 5 links

And now wherever you want to place you Google ads you will need to place this code into the relevant part of your theme template.

Here is an example of the 720x 15 Google link unit as described above working on http://kiddiefonts.tumblr.com using the CSS method the declaration for the Google Adsense was added at the end of the template, remember to replace the XXXXXXXX with your own Google publisher ID, I have found that using a value of 50 for the height works well with this link bar, if you want a smaller gap then use 15 if you declare too high a number then you will have a large white space at the bottom of your Tumblr page.

If you want to use another ad like a skyscraper then you will have to declare another div id and another div class in your CSS you might like to call them ads2 and inner2 so you wont get confused when adding your extra unit. Here are two codes that will work for the 600x160 wide skyscraper first is the CSS followed by the theme code this can be added as part of the existing list on the sidebar, when both are inserted and working then it's a good idea to create a custom channel and add both units or more if you have created them this will allow you to monitor your whole tumblr miniblog site from the new adsense console so that you can easily see your full potential earnings.

I must point out that altering the CSS in the advanced section of the new tumblr interface will cause you great problems I recommend that you use the notepad as your editor and copy and paste the final CSS into the window.

It's also a good idea to add a hit counter to your tumblr page this will help you monitor site visits and when used with google ads you can have a better understanding of the ratio of ad clicks vs page visits, one designed specifically for Tumblr can be found @ http://blog.hit-counter.info/tumblr-hit-counter.htm, this will also work with google's blogger pages. Use OneNote 2010 to import text into Word 2010

For most OneNote 2010 might seem a little daunting however this is a tried and tested method for extracting the text from a TIF and pasting the result into a Word 2010 document all is needs is a little practice at the procedure and you can scan and covert a 50 page document in about 30 mins. OneNote 2010 has replaced the MODI funcitonality of Office XP and 2007 however yo ucan still add this using the FREE version of Microsoft's SharePoint Desinger 2007, see previous postings.

You must first scan in either part of the entire document and save them as TIFF's, you can do this by selecting the correct file type in the scanner properties, you then need to create a new NoteBook I suggest that you use a new page for each scan and save as it you go along just in case you have system failure you can just reopen the NoteBook and Word Documents afterwards.

Right click the image select Copy Text from Picture this can take upto 5 seconds then right click again selecting the paste option as Keep Text Only as shown above, then select the extracted text and cut it out as shown below;

Then with the contents in the paste buffer paste them directly into a Word Document using Keep Text Only, it's a good idea to insert page breaks for each paste into your Word 2010 document, if when you paste the text into your notebook and you see either a spelling OR grammar issue it's best to right click and modify prior to the copy and paste as shown below with the word bepartment. Hey no-one said OCR was easy!!!

How to Install MODI functionality into Office 2010

Microsoft Office Document Imaging (MODI) is a Microsoft Office application that supports editing documents scanned by Microsoft Office Document Scanning. It was first introduced in Microsoft Office XP and is included in later Office versions including Office 2007. It is no longer available in Office 2010, you can however use the OCR functionality of OneNote 2010, insert the scanned picture and right click to save as text then paste this into a Word 2010 document, this might work for you, check out the next blog post for details on how to do this, and here is a screen dump of how it does it.

However there are several alternatives that might work;

Follow Microsoft's suggestions which includes an installation of only the MODI software from Microsoft Office 2007. (This installation process might also work with earlier versions of Office): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982760

How to prevent auto-domain renewal Google apps

Most domain names that are purchased through Google's Blogger service come with a whole host of extras including e-mail, calendars, groups an more recently box.net accounts this is all well and good for users who wish to keep using their excellent service, you will either be able to use eNom OR GoDaddy as your registrar, please note that if you already have a personal GoDaddy account this will always remain separate to the Google GoDaddy Lite control panel. If you use the eNom option you maybe able to transfer this to your main GoDaddy account using their domain transfer webpage unless that it you have chosen a co.uk then this is almost impossible to transfer.

If however you registered a domain name using Blogger and then choose to move it to another registrar and were not bothered about the keeping the e-mail plus other services the first thing that you must do is un-check the auto renew box on your Domain settings control panel,

Transfer .co.uk domain from 123-Reg to Go Daddy

This process should be easy, well if you want to transfer from eNom, 1&1 plus a few others they have excellent PDF''s available for download if it's moving from 123-Reg it isn't here is a tested way to do attempt to do it sucessfully.

The main reason is that first of all .UK domain names have what is called an IPS TAG (Nominet Tag) this is a way that Nominet (the not for profit company who governs the .uk domain names) gives control of a domain name to a certain company. If you have not already done so It is a good idea to register for an account @ https://secure.nominet.org.uk/auth/login.html

The first way to attempt this transfer is to goto your control panel and search for the new regsitrar in your domain list make sure that you select Registrar change if you want to move from 123-Reg to Go Daddy;

You might however get this response Please note - domains moved to this registrar are accepted never (always rejected), if this is the case.

Then I would suggest that you try to buy the domain transfer directly from GoDaddy's Domain Transfer website link from only £4.69/yr* & Free 1-yr extension @ http://www.godaddy.com/domains/domain-transfer.aspx , this may also fail as you will not be able to find the dot co dot uk in their drop down list, if both of these processes fail you , in fact this is why I am writing this blog post.

I suggest that should first you contact Nominet via their secure messaging system as you first point of call before contacting GoDaddy with your intentions, then you need to find GoDaddy's unique regsitrars IPS TAG, sometimes you can do this using http://keepyour.co.uk these are the same guys behind the nominet website, click on the find out more at the bottom, until then here are a few popular registrars that you might need.

WARNING: This action is not reversible without interaction from a third party (either Nominet UK or the holder of the new IPS TAG in this case www.godaddy.com). If you change the tag, you will not be able to modify the nameservers through the 123-reg control panel.

Because .uk domain management is not instantaneous, if you submitted a nameserver change within the last 30 minutes, you should delay changing the IPS TAG as it may cause the nameserver update to fail.

Once you have changed the IPS TAG away from 123-REG or WEBFUSION, 123-reg will remove the DNS and forwarding services for your domain in 48 hours. If your new provider does not setup DNS on their servers and update your domain within that period, your website may become unavailable. Understanding Windows CHKDSK switches

The use of either the GUI version or as described here using the commad line version is recommended every few months, however if you ever come across a folder that is descibed as corrupt using the /R switch may recover some if not all of your files, each repaired file in the root folder as a File.chk file, and each repaired folder in the root folder as a Found. folder, where is a number.

Although Chkdsk can be run with no switches, the most useful application is to use either the /F or /R switches, FIX and RECOVER, Chkdsk cannot carry out repair functions if any of the files on a disk are locked or in use. So it generally requires a reboot to run a check on any active volume with files in use.

If you ever turn off your computer incorrectly, or there is a powercut you may find that Chkdsk often times will run when you restart. This is a safety feature to make sure that no file or folder corruption occurred, so if you can always make sure that you shutdown using the Windows correct method to avoid any Master File Table errors.

Chkdsk tests both FAT and NTFS systems but NTFS is now the most common file system. Here is a brief description of what Chkdsk does when it runs on an NTFS system. Chkdsk's activity is divided into three major passes plus an optional fourth and fifth pass when using the /R switch, during each pass a message and a progress report is displayed.

If you want you can also use the command as shown above to output the chkdsk results to a file called c:\results.txt, keep in mind that you will not see the results on the screen because they are being redirected to the c:\results.txt file):

Phase 1: Checking files
During its first pass, Chkdsk examines each file record segment in the volume's master file table (MFT) and examines it for internal consistency. At the end of this phase, Chkdsk has identified the space that is in use and the space that is available, both within the Master File Table (MFT) and on the volume as a whole.

Phase 2: Checking indexes (directories)
During this pass, Chkdsk examines each directory that is on the volume, checking for internal consistency and verifying that every file and directory that is represented by a file record segment in the MFT is referenced by at least one directory. Chkdsk confirms that every file or subdirectory that is referenced in a directory actually exists as a valid file record segment in the MFT and also checks for circular directory references. Finally, Chkdsk confirms that the time stamps and file size information for the files are up-to-date in the directory listings for those files.

Phase 3: Checking security descriptors
During this phase, Chkdsk examines each security descriptor that is associated with files or directories on the volume. Security descriptors contain information about ownership of a file or directory, about NTFS permissions for the file or directory, and about auditing for the file or directory, this screendump if from a 250GB Iomega USB external drive after 30 mins during Stage 2 index $I30 file 19811;

Phases 4 and 5: Checking sectors (optional)
If the /R switch is in effect, Chkdsk runs two more passes to look for bad sectors. During stage 4, Chkdsk verifies all clusters in use; during stage 5, Chkdsk verifies unused clusters. Note that this process can be quite lengthy. taking many hours, this screendump from the same chkdsk shows only stages 4 and 5 where there was a replacement of bad clusters in file 17899, restored filename A0237155.exe this process eventually finished 2 hours later.

This particular chkdks solved a corrupt folder error and reclaimed the folder and files inside that were previously unobtainable presenting a file or directory is corrupt and non-readable error after unplugging of the portable device without stopping access through Windows.

WARNING: When Chkdsk detects problems with the file system and attempts to repair the damage, data loss can occur. Microsoft does not recommend running Chkdsk with the /F command-line switch unless you have a full backup of your hard disk.!!!

CAUTION - Interrupting the Chkdsk process when it is used with the /F or the /R switch is not recommended. The integrity of the entire disk can be compromised by stopping the process, SO DON'T DO IT, even if you think that it might have failed let it run it's full repair. I also strongly advise an uninterruptible power supply to guard against short-term power outages or fluctuations and let the process run for as long is necessary this might be overnight for drives over 250GB in size.

Including a Header Image using the Appearance Tab

If you already have your own custom theme this is sadly missing the use of the apperance tab there is how to modify your basic Tumblr theme to include a header image, this would be the first step to customizing your tumblr blog this method can also be used for changing body fonts and adding disqus commenting, more on this later.

First you will need to add the correct meta name tag in the header section of your theme above the meta http-equiv line shown here in red, this will tell tumblr that you want to use the Appearance tab

then you will need to find the end of the head tag and insert these lines of HTML in red after the title declaration or before if you prefer, using this method you can easily change the image in the header area using the appearance tab by just uploading a new one at a later date. Adding a customCSS using the Advanced Tab

If you use the Advanced tab to add your own custom CSS then it will appear in your template just before the closing header tag you will see this after you copy and paste the full code to the box, if you don't choose to do it this way you can incoporate a full CSS embedded into the theme coding, using this method is loads simpler as when you upload a new CSS the name shown here in blue will change in your template ans its a lot easier to manage, this is also where you determine the number of posts per page and promote tumblr with their own follow button if you so desire.

Changing your Tumblr Favicon and RSS address

If you have burned your tumblr RSS using feedburner and the redirection in the settings menu doesn't seem to redirect @http://www.tumblr.com/tumblelog/yourtumblr/settings then you can declare the new RSS feed address in the header section as shown below.

You may also want to use another favicon other than the one that you have uploaded to tumblr, that you have hosted on either imageshack, flicker, photobucket or another website or blogspot if this is the case then all you need to do is change these two lines, if you don't just leave them alone. NOTE: The Blogger server now allows the hosting of a custom favicon to replace their familiar orange B, the example below shows a custom favicon on a custom blogger domain;

In order for this RSS redirection to work you must also have these lines of code in the footer section most themes will have at least these lines note that you have to replace the {RSS} with the URL of your feedburner RSS as above otherwise the default is used;

How to remove Pureflow Hose from Camelbak bladder

I love my Camelbak however I removed the SGS Multilayered pureflow hose from the main bladder and used Miltons to clean and I couldn't get the hose back on the bladder due to the inner tube becoming seperated from the outer I tried to cut it by 1 inch but now I can't reattach the tube as it is now to narrow, I hope this little proceedure will help

The best thing to do is to clean and dry your CamelBak after every use, especially if you use anything other than water in the reservoir. CamelBak discourages using sports drinks that are sugar based, please check the label before using with your reservoir. Using a sports drink may stain your reservoir and increase the development of mold.

If mold or discoloration develops, then clean it with hot water with 2 TBSP of baking soda or bleach or a couple of our cleaning tablets. Mix the solution inside your reservoir and hold it up above your head while you pinch the bite valve. This allows the Baking soda or bleached water to run through the tube. Let the reservoir and bleach solution sit for about 30 minutes, and then wash the reservoir with hot water and mild soap. You can also use the CamelBak brushes from our Cleaning Kit to scrub your reservoir and tube.

It is also a good idea to detach your tube every once and a while and cleaning the tubing thoroughly. To detach your tube soak the end of the reservoir with the tube connection in warm water for 5 to 10 minutes. The warm water will soften the plastic and allow you to pull the tube off of the reservoir. You will then be able to clean the tube from both ends. After you are done cleaning, dip the end of the tube in rubbing alcohol. The rubbing alcohol will work as a lubricator and make it easier to attach the tube. After you have dipped the tube push the onto the nipple of the reservoir. Do not try to push the tube all the way down on the first try. You must work the tube on to the nipple by popping it on and off the nipple several times to stretch the tube. After about three or four times of pushing and plucking the tube off the nipple, try to push the tube all the way down onto the nipple of the reservoir.

Try to have a completely dry reservoir before you store it. if you are not able to dry out your reservoir completely, Camelbak suggests storing your reservoir in the freezer.
These steps will make your reservoir safe for use. If you have spots left from the mold, they will not come all the way out, because the reservoir is permanently stained. There are also instructions at Camelbak.com. Warranty does cover most defects, but not cleaning issues at this time.

Love it or loath it Facebook and Twitter are here to stay and with the introduction of fan pages there is no better way to promote your associated blogspot or website or RSS or Twitter feed using one of the two applications mentioned below.

If you own a domain name on GoDaddy.com and are not sure what to do with it, and you want to earn a bit of money from it then why not add a googleads page with search engine on the entire site, this will provide you with a small income until you publish your final website content, if you decide not to do this then you can park it for a cash value.

You will need to register with googleads and secure an approved account, this will depend upon your current website traffic so don't attempt to apply for a new domain purchase.
Then you will need to edit your DNS zone data with your googleads unique number and make a few additions to your A and CNAME records I suggest that you add these via your godaddy DNS manager then click edit zone on your new domain name, add the records shown in light green using the quick add button

Calculate Training Heart Zone Rate and Max BMP

Your maximum heart rate (MHR), which corresponds to a 100% intensity level and your resting heart rate (RHR), which corresponds to a 0% intensity level can be calculated using several formuale the simplest is 220-AGE, however one of the best combines your age and activity which combines the Miller formula with the research from Londeree and Moeschberger.

Use the Miller formula of MHR=217 - (0.85 × age) to calculate MHR
Subtract 3 beats for elite athletes under 30
Add 2 beats for 50 year old elite athletes
Add 4 beats for 55+ year old elite athletes
Use this MHR value for running training
Subtract 3 beats for rowing training
Subtract 5 beats for bicycle training

So a man of 40 who would be cycling would use one of these two formulae

MHR = 217 - (0.85*40) + 5 = 177 BMP
MHR = 220 -40 = 180 BMP

Your RHR (resting heart rate) can be found by either wearing a chest monitor but as a rule if you are unfit it would be about 72 whereas a fit man would have a RHR of about 52, you would probably be somewhere in between if you had a BMI of about 20-25.

You can use the Karvonen Formula to determine your training zone heart rate. The training zone is a range aka Aerobic, that tells you how fast your heart should beat when you are working-out at a 60% to 85% intensity level. The upper and lower ends are given by the equations;

Upper End = (0.85)MHR + (0.15)RHR
Lower End = (0.60)MHR + (0.40)RHR

If we apply this to an average 40 year old cyclist using the Miller, Londeree and Moeschberger formula the MHR would be 177BMP and a RHR of 68BMP then the Anerobic Exercise range would be;

85% = (0.85*177) + (0.15*68) = 162
60% = (0.6*177) + (0.40*68) = 134

If you had a cycle computer then these could be your upper and lower Time Zone levels for the best form of cardiovascular exercise, to help yout muscles grow stronger and more efficient.

Remember though the best Fatburn range vs effort is between 50%-60% this would equate to 89-107 BMP, it is a good idea to spend some time in this range purely to burn fat instead of using the glycogen stored in the muscle at the 60-85% range. One of the by-products of burning this glycogen in the muscle instead of fat is that you produce lactic acid. There is a point at which the body can no longer remove the lactic acid from the working muscles quickly enough. This is your anaerobic threshold (AT) and this can be increased with the correct training program so that you can spend longer in the Aerobic training range.

If like me you buy and sell on e-bay then read on make sure that you declare the correct postage costs for your items to avoid paying extra postage costs after you have sold the items at the online auction, you could ask for this extra postage costs after the payment however most will not pay this extra cost so you have been warned.
I recently send 2 OFF x VHS VCR's, worth about £80 each as standard parcels and only charged £6.00 for each delivery a total of £12, when the total price was £20.68 as both parcels were about 4.6Kgs in weight so it jumped to the higher price range, this meant that I was out of pocket by £8.68.

Easier HTML Table Formatting in Blogger

When you create an HTML table in Blogger it automatically inserts line breaks which is very annoying, however ou can disable this behavior under Settings as a global option so it affects all posts. Another option is to write your tables without line breaks. Here is a tried and tested way

At the top of your post add this or add it the CSS in the blogger template

Then place your table HTML code within that class called nobr:

That has the effect of turning off the display of the Blogger-generated line breaks within the div, causing the table to be rendered properly. There are a few VBA scripts that will import a table from Excel in CSV format, look HERE but these don't always work, here is how it will look on your blog post, this has been center aligned using the menubar icon, also the table border has been set to 0 so all you see are the numbers if left at 1 then you would see the lines.

You can also improve upon the table CSS using this extra HTML that includes the extra .tablebr class as well as the .nobr class, this now one will make the tables vertically aligned, this can't be added as a CSS as it includes the table border declaration.

Converting cms into feet and inches in Excel 2010

Most people will know there height in either cms, inches or feet and inches this can cause problems with Excel 2010 as all calculations are normal in base 10, I suggest you first measure yourself in the morning (you are always about 1/4" taller) using an inch tape measure, then to convert inches to cms, all you need is to place this formula in the cms column;

=$P3*2.54

when if you want to convert this inch measurement into feet and inches here is a very easy way to do this, where P3 is your height in inches, I suggest that you use column Q for the feet and inches calculation.

=INT($P3/12)&"' "&TEXT(12*($P3/12-INT($P3/12)),"# #/#")&CHAR(34)

BMR in column 4 is used your Basal Metabolic Rate, which calculates the number of calories the average person burns during a day if at complete rest, (aka the Harris Benedict formula), note this is a minimum value most fully grown 5'8" active males require about 2,800 thats about 1,000 more or equivalent to 1.5 hours exercise per day, for the average active woman 5'2 it's slightly less at about 2,100 giving about 800 more than at rest, if you eat over this amount without any exercise then you will put on weight.

NOTE: To loose only one pound of fat you will need to burn the equvalent of about 3,500 calories, that's about a 6 hour cycle ride burning of about 600 kcal / hr for more information, no wonder it's hard to loose weight !!!

Converting Kgs into Stone and lbs in Excel 2010

This can cause a few problems as there are 14lbs in a Stone and not 10 as this would be too easy.

So here is a formula that really works, note you need to use a random cell I have used V9 to place this decimal number otherwise the long formula will jump into the next cell split due to the maximum allowed formula length per cell.

to make the conversion correct; you can then start the Kgs values in cell A4 and increment down to say A30 copy this formula into B5 then pull it down to B30 then value in V9 stays the same due to absolute formating and the A4 increments upto A30, note I created the Kgs value from the Original value I had in lbs by dividing by 2.2 you can use this simple formula =$A3/2.2 or if you already have the Kgs value use $A3*2.2, you can also add a BMI (body mass index) column in the fourth column using this formula =C3/($P$7^2)*703 where the value in P7 is your height in inches, you can use any cell I just chose P7 at random.

Here is an example of what the table will look like first column (A) is Kgs, second (B) Stones and Lbs this the main conversion using the long formula, the third column (C) is the value in lbs and the last cloumn (D) is the BMI where the value in P7 = 68" or 5' 8", this range is for the average healthy man with a normal BMI of between 18.9 - 24.9

By default uTorrent supports Mininova, Google Torrent ,BitTorrent and Vuze.

Here are some strings you can add to search more sites. Just open uTorrent and go to “options - preferences - other options” and add or remove whatever you want, there are always 4 default search engines that have favicons , if you leave a space there will be a line to separate the standard from the default copy and paste these extra lines below and start to browse through the uTorrent interface.

It might be a good idea to tryout Vuze at some point as this is also a very popular client there are search templates for this one also.

How to add a custom CSS to tumblr.

There are several CSS that have been posted online can be used by the tumblr users to copy and paste of the entire CSS style sheet directly into the advanced tab of the customize section of your blog.

You must have replaced the entire existing theme HTML code with the full code for this theme which is hosted by this tumblr blogger customcss, this the a very basic theme that you can modify and learn how to adapt it for you own use.

You can also upload you own customized themes using the static file uploader from tumblr, for other tumblrs to use on their own blogs I have uploaded mine as a text file in the examples section below.

the file extension txt may need to be changed to css after it has been modified and uploaded so that you can replace the style.css line in the theme if you are using one that calls it's CSS from within.

Working example by Owen Dawson the creator of Charity Fonts using the customCSS theme and modified CSS stylesheet that will work with typekit;

You can however change this file to suit your own needs before you paste it to your theme, you might need to learn a bit of CSS coding first, these example CSS stylesheets have been uploaded using the tumblr static file uploader, they will only work as a CSS is the theme that you are using calls it's CSS directly from the theme.

Adding to Blogger CSS

This typekit can also be used with a weblog hosted @blogger.com utilizing it's new template editor as long as the blogspot is hosted at a custom domain *.windowstipsclub.com, you can do this by redirecting it under the blogger dashboard settings, publishing, and the typekit javascript has been added to the header section of the blogger template, to make sure that your typekit is used, this HTML shows the fallback method for older browsers with the sans-serif added on the end, it's up to you if you use this or not.

Editing the Theme (without Typekit)
Login to your tumblr blog and click Customize appearance, Theme, Use custom HTML, some themes will have their own CSS that you can download along with the theme, you will need to search both theme and CSS for the font family that has been used, I suggest that you open each file in notepa and use CTRL+F search for the word font-family: , you can then change each one to you desired font, for a complete list visit @kv5r.com

The Font Color can also be change to get the right color code, in order to do that I suggest using @colorschemedesigner.com and right below the color mixer circle, on the right hand you will obtain the RGB code, add the # sign first and finally replace the old color ID.

Register with Typekit

The first thing that you need to do it register for a new account @typekit using your website's admin account, I recommend that you start with the FREE for 30 days account with 25,000 pageviews/month for 1 website with a maximum of 2 fonts per site, once this has been done you will be asked to create a kit.

Then you will be asked to add the websites own javascript to the header section of the website,blog or tumblr. you will be then told that this 7 digit alphanumeric is unique for your domain with the option to change it.
This code has been registered for use on *.windowstipsclub.com. Change the domain, then as sson as you have added this code, this will setup your Colophonin the bottom right-hand corner of the domain website, then you need to do is choose 2 fonts to add to your kit, then you can launch the kit editor.

Under the selectors you can then add the HTML tags that you want to change the font a good place to start is h1, then all you need to do is publish the kit using the button in the bottom right-hand corner of the kit, it's a good idea to check that this has worked before you get to adventurous, when you click PUBLISH

In addition to using typekit's selectors setting to tell Typekit where to apply this font, you can use the font directly in your CSS rules of your theme, with the following line of code, this is for the comic font blambot-casual @typekit.com/foundries/blambot

Typekit splits the font in your kit this is why there are two declarations this helps protect the embedded font this is to make them less usable as installable fonts.

Editing the CSS

Once in your theme html, look for .css url's, there probably will be more than 1 file, but just one of them is named style.css, this contains the full CSS elements and properties that help give your theme its unique look, if you don't find this particular file that you can't use this method for editing your tumblr theme as not all will have a full CSS.
Copy the full style.css url and then paste it in a new browser window.
Right click on the windows and press CTRL+A and CTRL+C.
Open a Notepad and paste CTRL+V all that content, then save it as a new file called style.css
Modify font-size, font-weight and color.
Be careful with font-family properties when is included within @font-face, since this won’t have any effect, don't touch this.
Save the style.css then upload the file with the tumblr. uploader
You will then obtain a new url file path, copy and then replace the old style.css url with the path you just have obtained from the tumblr. uploader

If you want to download of create your own font @fontface then you can download your font from www.fonts2u.com, that has the option of downloading just the font or the embbed files OR you can use www.fontsquirrel.com where they even have their own generator for a font that you already have.

NOTE: Just use this storage service for files related to your theme, nothing else unless you want your account to get banned.
