Another new build of Microsoft Office 2010 from beta branch has been compiled by Microsoft mid October, and had since leaked to Internet. The Microsoft Office 2010 Beta 2 with build version 14.0.4514.1009.

The Office 2010 Beta 2 has changed the installation procedure. User is now required to enter the 25-digit license serial number or product key prior to setup of Office 2010 been started, whereas previously the information is only been asked after installation is initiated.

Thus, without a valid product key, user will not be able to even start installing Office 2010 build 14.0.4514.1009, which is marked as beta 2 milestone. Users who are in the Office 2010 Technical Preview program can generate a product key in Microsoft Connect, which can work to start the setup installation of Office 2010 Beta 2 and properly activate the installed Office productivity suite. For user who without the access to Connect’s Office TP program, use the following product keys to install Office 2010 Build 14.0.4514.1009. However, the serial keys cannot be used to activate the product, so most functions are disabled.

About:
This application started off as a proof of concept. Everyone at the time I made this was using batch scripts as the back end to their activation techniques and although batch file installation worked it's success rate was poor when compared to my demo application.

The goal of my program at the time was simple, prove that an application can do everything the batch file can do but in a controlled easy to use way with little to no errors. Not only that though but to show that you can display useful system information and options to the user which a batch file simply can't do.

This program to this very day is still the only fully coded API driven application that handles it's own errors and depends on itself. It's the original program based loader and it's arguably the best loader based program to get you activated out right now with over 10,000 downloads and counting and a strong fanbase behind it.

Whats the goal of this program?
To activate you in a clean and simple way without putting a load of buttons and checkboxes on your screen and expecting you to know what to do. It's all about keeping it simple!

What makes this different from every other loader out at the moment?
It's the only fully coded API based loader application, this means it cuts out the middle man (.NET framework) and can handle everything on it's own. This increases reliability and is considered the professional coder approach.

So whats the advantages and why should you care?
With me building this loader as an application I can access system details and create declares for many of the functions. This means anyone that uses this loader should have a greater chance of success!

Whats the differences between each loader option?
Each option uses a slightly different method to get you activated, of course the custom menu.lst option should be ignored unless you know what you're doing.

OK so how do I run it?
In general you simply press Install!

I activated Windows 7 and now I want to activate Windows Vista, why isn't it working?
Use the uninstall option while on Windows 7 and reboot into Windows Vista. Next install your selected cert/slic in Windows Vista and then reboot back to Windows 7 and click install.

Activation failed, now what?
Try again with one of the other loader options, maybe one of them might just work for you.

Application integrity checking?
Hover your mouse over the green, amber or red icon towards the bottom right of the window to see the information.

I should note that even if the icon is green someone might have found a way around it so it's worth checking that the applications path is always the same as the location from where you launched the application. You should also check that the MD5 matches the MD5 found online.

It’s time to bust out the champagne and give a toast to Windows 7’s future success; Microsoft has officially released Windows 7 to manufacturing, the build string being 7600.16385.090713-1255, as confirmed by a Microsoft spokesperson.

The signoff was originally set to be announced on the 13th, however for some reason they were unable to meet the targeted date, possibly due to some show-stopper bug present in the OS that they wanted to iron out before the big signoff.

Here are the Windows 7 availability dates as stated on The Windows Blog:

Windows 7 will hit the shelves on October 22nd.

OEMs will get the build on Friday, July 24th.

Microsoft Partner Program Gold/Certified members will get the build via the Microsoft Partner Network on August 16th in English only, with the other languages being available on October 1st.

Microsoft Action Pack Subscribers will be able to get the RTM in English beginning August 23rd with the other launguages being released October 1st.

Businesses needing Volume Licensing who have a Software Assurance license will get the build on August 1st, while those who do not have an SA license will be able to snag it on September 1st.

Technet/MSDN subscribers will get the build on August 6th in English only, with the other languages being released on October 6th.

The Service Pack 2 does not upgrade the IE7 (Internet Explorer
7) to IE8 (Internet Explorer 8). Thus, users has to manually download and install IE8 update themselves.
