Longtime Texas wine fans will remember 2011 as a brutally hot, drought-stricken vintage with little relief in sight. Harvested from Limestone Terrace Vineyard near Wimberley, Texas, this survivor now tastes smoother than in earlier samplings, with cherry notes still hanging on. Most of the fruit profile has mellowed out, but the wine still remains enjoyable. The acidity feels less intense than before, and the color has changed only modestly. You could still cellar it a bit longer, but drink it now if you want to catch the remaining fruit flavors. Cin Cin!
