Feeling a sense of urgency to stand a bit taller, breathe a bit deeper & beam light more actively… with more defined intention & focus.

Is my inner Master of the Universe rising? The Goddess Kundalini tapping my crown? The Soular Home Team checking in? I invite you to join in this cosmic activation & synthesis, to invigorate your own fabulous, blessed s/heroes & champions from whom you can draw strength, courage & vision for the changing times ahead!

Good stuff follows from Sandra Walter for anyone open to some introspective self-eval as an ascension exercise. (Sounds like great fun eh! gulp) Might be a useful clarification tool or practice, getting clear as we move deeper into cosmic energies that are cracking open humanity’s cosmic consciousness and collective heart. Could get bumpy as incoming energies increasingly flood into the lower frequencies held by the masses, who might require a solid conk to wake them up and start smelling’ some coffee. Could also get increasingly ‘bumpy’ on a personal level as old stuck energies, habits, beliefs, etc flush to the surface for personal review, healing, clearing, and course correction. Maybe. Makes sense to me. If you don’t mind my sayin’. ;)

May all who surf these rumbling waters stay buoyant & balanced, with grace & ease. May all manifest in ways that increase energies of joy & a sense of meaning – as the ride we’re on plays out.

One of the Mastery exercises we did together during Presence was a deep self-evaluation. Mastery always includes self-review, intention setting; and revealing our core motivations. With the energies flowing for revelation, we accelerate the global revelation process by doing the good work ourselves.

Remember: As the frequencies increase (literally faster vibrations), so does the power of Unity Consciousness. Everything we do affects the whole in stronger ways.

Enki & Enlil were the sons of Anu, the great ruler of a galactic civilization we know as the Anunnaki (“children of Anu”) whose home planet is the mysterious Nibiru, which travels a lonnnng elliptical orbit that passes right through this solar system approximately every 3600 years. Anu dispatched these two sons to Earth (“giant gods from the stars” by earth-dweller standards) to establish a new domain for the Annunaki to develop and dominate.

Enlil’s MO was to use violence to break the “lowly beasts” (primitive humans) into becoming slave laborers to mine gold, build Anu’s new empire (for Enlil to rule), and otherwise stay out of the way.

Enki, on the other hand, focused on genetically enhancing the primitives with highly evolved DNA to produce an evolved, peaceful, and productive race.

These two opposing motivations caused much conflict between Enki & Enli, and much chaos on Earth.

Enlil is said to so resent Enki’s efforts to bump human evolution and abilities up a few notches that he, the wrathful Enlil, brought on the event we know of as the Great Flood, intended to clear the planet of all evolving sapiens – and everything else while at it, what the heck, only a planet loaded with life! Enki, meanwhile, provided warnings and blueprints for an ark that would save at least some of his beloved higher-consciousness humans (and other life forms) to re-populate the planet when the water receeded.

Oversimplified of course but this is the essence of the situation as I grok it. Also, some believe the Enki/Enlil roles are the reverse of mine, but of course – they are mistaken, ha!!

I’ve a long-held interest in Enki & Enlil… and sort of identify (just occurred to me here) as “an Enki girl in an Enlil world,” meaning, enlightenment – not force/brutality – is the preferred (and ultimately the only viable) way forward (Enki’s hope & plan for humanity). Yet the powers that be in this world continue to forcibly maintain Enlil’s dark preference for bondage/control/opposition/punishment… In other words: loosh (energy of fear & suffering) for himself and his ilk to feed upon.

Any of this ring any bells, regarding our current circumstances?

I believe (at least I tell myself!) we’re now witnessing the last gasps of this entire Enlil legacy that has wreaked endless havoc for hundreds of millennia. The perpetual keeping down of humanity presents the challenges from which we will rise and release ourselves, to usher in the dawn of peace.

Or – perhaps our ascent is into a more refined frequency in which peace already IS, while the denser realms of 3D continue to harbor overwhelmingly negative forces, for further “learning experiences” to those who still need them.

PS! I haven’t blogged in quite a while, and have “lost” the categories and tag functions. I actually managed to begin begin tagging at one point, made a goof, and now tagging isn’t where I found it in the first place to edit goof. Have never seen ‘categories’! Put in query to WP help. Meanwhile, kinda hangin’ here… w/out those features. If anyone can direct, big gratitude to you. W

Some years later, I learned about Ganesh, the ancient Hindu god known as The Remover of Obstacles – a revered protective deity in elephant form. One of India’s most worshiped, respected, and – I venture to say – busy gods. I figure that, quantumly speaking, the copious love lavished upon this being over millennia surely ensures that Ganesh sustains a vast reserve of spiritual clout to bestow upon all who come to him for assistance. The highly benevolent energy is t/here to be circulated – why not join the flow?

Reflecting upon all this, I also remember my mother telling me as a kid that in India, people put an elephant figurine inside their door, facing “out” (ie the entryway), which was believed to guard against trouble from entering one’s home. To this day I have a small elephant right inside my door, vigilantly guarding my portal to the greater world. :)

(Mom also made our one & only matching mother/daughter dresses out of an Indian fabric with little Ganeshas all over it. Interesting for me to remember all this today, so very many years later! Blessings & gratitude, dearest Mom!)

I also have a large hanging elephant tapestry facing the door. Not specifically Ganesh, but invoking that energy of strength and courage, nonetheless. (I have a special heart space for elephants.)

Can’t say I’ve given Ganesh much mind in a while, but today I am, which brings me to this mantra video that I’m sharing with you. I figure what could it hurt to tap into the powerful, protective energy of NO to unwelcome hardships??? I have it queued up here and will continue playing it and invoking Ganesh’s loving, protective shield when I post this.

These symbolic things can definitely move energy when we engage our infinite consciousness with them on the working of it. Ganesh might be considered a Christ aspect with the “special task” of removing any obstacles to the flow of grace.

You never know – it could serve you/us well! Jai jai Ganesha! (Hail Ganesh!)

Hello dear friends – it’s been awhile! I just read this aloud, with oomph, and found sending these energized, verbalized words into the Field to be quite powerful. I intend to do this a few more times at least… maybe even as a day-starter meditation for a while. I’m impressed with the consciousness that came up with it. It basically explains how we’ve fallen into ego-level perception & activity, and encourages us to (re)claim the Sacred Source in ourselves – and emanate it into the All by our restored presence & intention. A New Declaration of Independence

When in the course of divine events it becomes the Will of God for awakened souls to dissolve the political and emotional bonds of attachment to illusion—including the illusory world, the ego, and all limited conceptions of reality and God—and to assume the powers of Spirit, the separate and equal station, to which the Laws of God’s Nature and Nature’s God entitle us, a decent respect for the opinions of those still asleep to the Truth, requires that we should declare the Almighty Cause that impels us to this separation from all that is false, limited, and degrading, as part of our return to ultimate Goodness and Faithfulness to our Beloved Supreme Source of Being.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all souls are created in the image of the Supreme Self, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, and that among these are Eternal Life, Liberation, and unalloyed Happiness.

To secure these rights, Self-government is instituted among sages, deriving their just powers from the consent of God. Whenever any form of human government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the God Realized Beings to alter or to abolish it, and to institute a new order, founded on the divine principles of Infinite Intelligence, Unconditional Love, and the Unity of Being, organizing its powers in such form, as to God shall be most able to effect their serenity and happiness.

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for superficial and transient causes; and accordingly, as experience hath shown, that humankind is more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms internal and external to which they are accustomed.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce our souls to subjection under absolute egoic despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such egoic government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.

Such has been the anguished suffering of these Colonies, otherwise known as souls stained and rendered fragmented and incoherent by ego identification; and such is now the necessity that constrains them to alter their former internal systems of superego government.

 The history of the present empire of egos is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny over our states of consciousness. To prove this, let the following facts be submitted to a candid world.

The ego has refused to assent to the Laws of God, leading to the loss of personal and public wellbeing.

The ego has utterly neglected to attend to the Great Work of self-transformation, and therefore now lacks nobility and moral strength.

The ego has destroyed the ideal of caring community, through its envy, jealousy, greed, arrogance, anger, and will to domination.

The ego has censored the Truth and has been living a lie. Now the lie has caught up with it.

The ego has rejected wisdom when offered by sages, preferring its own jouissance instead of true Goodness.

The ego, once disconnected from the Source of Being, has fragmented itself both in order to maximize sensory enjoyment and to avoid psychic suffering, ending up with an unmanageable internal chaos and eruptions of somatized and politicized karmic symptoms.

The ego has rejected the internal inflow of divine intelligence and energy, in the form of God’s love and wisdom, and thus has become ever weaker in both body and mind.

The ego has obscured its own understanding of the Law of Karma, and thus has laid a self-sabotaging trap for the soul it has usurped.

The ego has wantonly projected on others its own evil tendencies and defiled others through making them its objects of desire.

The ego has filled the mind with paranoid thoughts and narratives of victimhood and fear, destroying all peace of mind, and thus ability to meditate and re-find God.

The ego has inflicted attitudes of depression, nihilism, hopelessness, and dismay, in order to inhibit any spiritual strivings.

The ego has installed a false judge and punisher, a superego figure, to intimidate and hold subordinate all creative tendencies that could result in soul awakening.

The ego has accustomed the soul to become dependent on the pleasure principle and artificial stimulation in order to have any positive temporary alteration of consciousness, and has contained all its efforts to transcend by repetitive inculcations of belief in its need for external help to attain its own Being.

The ego has brought a complete lack of integrity, since acquiescing to fear, lust, violence, and depravity.

The ego has been in denial of its responsibility for the downfall of the world into a hell realm and its final apocalyptic demise.

The ego has cut off its soul’s paranormal powers, including its sense of telepathic interconnectivity with the network of holons of the One Consciousness, the Net of Indra.

The ego has taxed the soul with an un-payable burden of karmic debt, bringing the consciousness and its world to bankruptcy and brokenness.

The ego has lost access to Real Presence, becoming lost in either traumatic memories or nostalgia for the past, fantasies of transgressive enjoyment, and fractured narratives of the imagined future.

The ego has lost touch with the essence of God’s Commandments, and with the will to surrender to the Supreme Self.

The ego has lost the strength required to live in accord with the highest Dharma, the most Holy Way of Life, and has chosen a profane existence.

The ego has allowed its own impulses toward stagnation, laziness, and passivity to overcome its will to grow and morph into a higher level of Being.

The ego has waged war against its own Heart, closing off the flow of unconditional love and joy.

The ego has plundered our planet’s seas, ravaged our coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people and all the creatures of Nature.

The ego has cherished its lower energies, its lower death drive, and in critical moments has encouraged suicide of both body and soul.

The ego has connived to lower the general level of consciousness and in particular to encouraging others to fall to the lowest states, in order not to be lonely or different.

The ego has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, being unable to sustain love relationships or even friendships in a consistent and reliable manner.

The ego is a usurper whose character is marked by every act which may define a tyrant, and is unfit to be the ruler of a divine soul, a manifestation of the Supreme Being.

As all egos have been in collusion in the bringing about of a corrupt society and ruined world, we hold those egos that remain rogue to be enemies of God, but if and when they rise in surrender to the Supreme Oneness, they shall be offered amnesty and grace.

We, therefore, as emissaries and servers of our Highest Beingness, responding to the Supreme Judge of the world, commanding the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of God, solemnly publish and declare, that we are and of right ought to be, the unified Dreamers of a new world; that we are absolved from all allegiance to egoic life, biologically based family systems, and obsolete political organizations unworthy of further existence, and that all identification with those illegitimate authorities is totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent Manifestations of the One Self, we have full Power to conclude Peace, create egoless alliances, establish divine commerce, and to do all other acts which Independent Avatars of the One Being may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to all who serve only God our loyalty, our resources, and our sacred Honor.

We, the undersigned, are henceforth on our Honor bound to live in and from the Immovable Center of Pure Consciousness, abiding always as the Supreme Self, in the Perfect Stillness of Holy Presence, the Silence of the Heart, free of concepts and projections, until we bring the gift of Peace to emanate through the entire Noosphere of Planet Earth. Through this spiritual and nonviolent means, we shall de-collapse all the quantum wave functions and cause the Singularity of God’s complete Revelation as the Absolute Sun of Total Consciousness. Thence shall be completed the fusion of the Omega Point with the next Alpha Genesis, the birth of a New World, which shall appear in the Perfection of God’s Full Intelligence and Love, as the New Kingdom of Heaven. May God be revealed through our Presence.

Thought I’d share the following from German graphics artist Jurgen Ziewe (now in England), not only one of the most experienced and skilled out-of-body adventurers around, but also author of illuminating books featuring his fantastic experiences and reflections on their significance.

He is currently involved in creating full-blown virtual reality experiences that recreate some of the “astralscapes” he has visited.

I’m sending links to two of his videos: the first (above) is a sample of drifting through a beautiful astralscape, even further enhanced by its soundscape. It’s very nice, but he’s now endeavoring to upgrade his system to allow for full-immersion, Avatar-quality environs in virtual reality.

I’m intrigued by the possibilities re: this, as it allows people not yet adept at OBEs (out-of-body experiences) to have similar adventures, which may bring us all closer to initiating our own OBE excursions to fantastic etheric realms.

(I’m confused by this new version of WordPress… it seems I’m supposed to upgrade [$] for the ability to include videos now… but “something happened” and I DO have a clickable live screen above, but it didn’t happen by dropping in a link, as it always worked previously. Don’t actually understand what happened… ??? Guess I need to spend time with WP to figure it out. Erf)

This man and his abundant gifts –– his ability to have endless, at-will OBEs; his gracious way of sharing those experiences in his books, including meetings with people/souls/beings in various realms and their potential significance to us; his impressive skill at recreating beauty via computer-generated graphics; and his current passion to recreate the entire gestalt in virtual reality for all to enjoy (and aspire to?) –– is worth sharing and supporting, which I’m happy to do!

What follows – an 11-minute video and the transcript of same – is offered to serve a collective contemplation on what it is we’re all immersed in at this time. Offered, as always, with love and hope for expanding awareness and healing. Whitehawk

“For nonconformity the world whips you with its displeasure”. (Ralph Waldo Emerson)

This remark by Ralph Waldo Emerson makes it clear that the forces of conformity were quite strong when he lived nearly 200 years ago. However, he would likely be surprised at the extent to which the whipping of nonconformists has now been made possible with the emergence of social media and other mass communication technologies.

No longer is conformity primarily enforced by members of one’s community, but rather through online social networks people from all over the world can ostracize, shame, and ridicule those who fail to hold beliefs or display behaviors which are considered socially acceptable.

But this magnified ability to enforce conformity comes at a price as it is the nonconformists who bring forth the new ideas, creations, and ways of living which produce a vibrant society. Furthermore, many who have reflected on the human condition have suggested that too-much conformity deadens the human spirit and that a fulfilling life is one which sees the flowering of one’s uniqueness, not the mimicking of the crowd.

The purpose of this video will be to examine why we are so susceptible to conformity and to look at why nonconformity is such an important ingredient in a life well-lived.

While conformity can be defined as the imitation of behaviors, beliefs, and values which are considered socially acceptable, nonconformity, for the purpose of this video, is not merely the rejection of the socially accepted. A person who rejects things just out of the desire to be “different” still conforms as their life, like that of the more typical conformist, is still shaped by an external source, that being the crowd. True nonconformity, in contrast, is displayed to the degree that one’s life path, and thus character, are shaped by behaviors, beliefs, and values which are chosen for personal or authentic reasons. In many cases this will entail the adoption of things considered socially acceptable, but the nonconformist adopts them because they understand their utility, while the conformist adopts them merely out of the desire to be accepted.

While there are numerous forces behind the tendency to conform, some have suggested that the fear of death is one of the most influential factors in this respect. In his Pulitzer prize-winning book, The Denial of Death, Ernest Becker describes this existential fear as follows:

“This is the terror: to have emerged from nothing, to have a name, consciousness of self, deep inner feelings, and excruciating inner yearning for life and self-expression – and with all this yet to die. It seems like a hoax. . . What kind of deity would create such complex and fancy worm food?” (Ernest Becker, The Denial of Death)

According to Becker we cannot face up to the reality of our death without experiencing debilitating anxiety and so we attempt to quell this anxiety by “denying death”. Denial of death is achieved by what Becker called striving for the heroic, or in other words attaching ourselves to a purpose, cause, or creation which we believe will outlive our physical existence, thus granting us a form of immortality. There are two main paths to heroism, the path of the nonconformist, or what Becker calls cosmic or personal heroism, and the path of the conformist, which he calls cultural heroism.

The path of the nonconformist consists of cultivating one’s unique potential and using one’s talents and skills in the creation of something novel and meaningful.

“What is one’s true talent, his secret gift, his authentic vocation?” writes Becker “In what way is one truly unique, and how can he express this uniqueness, give it form, dedicate it to something beyond himself?” (Ernest Becker, The Denial of Death)

In creating something which will in a sense live on past one’s physical existence and which is the expression of one’s uniqueness, be it a work of art, a scientific discovery, or an entrepreneurial endeavor, one’s life, according to Becker, will be characterized by a form of personal heroism. This personal heroism helps one deny death in a manner conducive to psychological health and vitality.

However, by the time most of us reach adulthood we have been inculcated to view our uniqueness not as something to be cultivated, but as something to be shunned. Very few people view themselves as capable of bringing forth anything of significance into the world and so are incapable of engaging in personal heroism. For such people, an alternative route to the denial of death is required, or else they run the risk of being overwhelmed by anxiety and nihilistic despair. This alternative is found through conformity and the adoption of pre-determined social roles, or what Becker calls cultural heroism. While this path limits the expression of one’s uniqueness and leads to a life dominated by repetition and routine, it provides people with security and comfort, and makes them feel as if they are participating in something significant. Or as Becker explains:

“Like many prisoners they are comfortable in their limited and protected routines, and the idea of a parole into the wide world of chance, accident, and choice terrifies them. In the prison of one’s character one can pretend and feel that he is somebody, that the world is manageable, that there is a reason for one’s life, a ready justification for one’s action. To live automatically and uncritically is to be assured of at least a minimum share of the programmed cultural heroics . . .”(Ernest Becker, The Denial of Death)

Becker makes the interesting claim that cultural heroism is effective due to the religious function that modern secular societies play in the conformist’s life. In other words, just as Christianity in the Middle Ages provided those in the West with a meaning to their existence and a set of values by which to shape their lives, in our more secular world one’s society now plays such a role. As Becker explains:

“Society itself is a codified hero system, which means that society everywhere is a living myth of the significance of human life, a defiant creation of meaning. Every society thus is a “religion” whether it thinks so or not: Soviet “religion” and Maoist “religion” are as truly religious as are scientific and consumer “religion,” no matter how much they may try to disguise themselves by omitting religious and spiritual ideas from their lives.” (Ernest Becker, The Denial of Death)

Just like any religion, the religion of one’s society becomes easier to believe in, the greater the number of people to whom worship it. And this is why the nonconformists are so feared by the masses, the unique individuals plant seeds of doubt into the minds of the conformists regarding the significance of their social roles, and thus the significance of their very existence. Therefore, the masses actively discourage the cultivation of one’s uniqueness, ridicule and ostracize nonconformists, and try and pressure them back to conformity – something they must do given that their existential significance is on the line.

While there exist great pressures to conform, of the two paths to heroism, the one less traveled, or the cultivation and expression of one’s uniqueness, has long been seen as the superior of the two, for as Emerson wrote:

“Whence is your power? From my nonconformity. I never listened to your people’s law, or to what they call their gospel, and wasted my time.” (Ralph Waldo Emerson)

The conformists’ existence, while comfortable, is largely a robotic state. Such people are always looking to others in order to determine how to behave and what to believe. Thus in effect, conformity amounts to living one’s life for others – not for oneself – and as Virginia Woolf recognized:

“Once conform, once do what other people do because they do it, and a lethargy steals over all the finer nerves and faculties of the soul. [One] becomes all outer show and inward emptiness; dull, callous, and indifferent.” (Virginia Woolf)

This stultifying effect of conformity led Kierkegaard to stress the importance of striving to follow a life path which is personally chosen – as a conformist’s existence can barely be called living at all. In his work Concluding Unscientific Postscript to Philosophical Fragments, he suggests that cultivating one’s uniqueness is like “riding a wild stallion”, while conforming is like “falling asleep on a moving hay wagon”. But like Becker, Kierkegaard realized that few people are capable of cultivating their uniqueness, for as he wrote:

“Surrounded by hordes of people, busy with all sorts of secular matters, more and more shrewd about the ways of the world – such a person forgets himself, forgets his name divinely understood, does not dare to believe in himself, finds it too risky to be himself, far easier and safer to be like the others, to become a copy, a number, part of the crowd.” (Soren Kierkegaard, The Sickness Unto Death)

But while most people conform almost without reflecting on why they do so, others have a nagging feeling that there is more to life than the social role they have adopted. They sense that in the short time they have between two eternal darknesses they should strive to cultivate their uniqueness and to see what they are personally capable of. But even with this awareness why are so few people capable of breaking the powerful chains of conformity?

In other words, While Becker may be correct that our fear of death impels us to strive for the heroic, why is it that so many people choose the path of conformity instead of the far superior path of the nonconformist to achieve the denial of death? While numerous thinkers have attempted to pinpoint what makes it so difficult to be a nonconformist, Nietzsche, in his book Untimely Meditations, suggested that the rarity of the nonconformist can be explained by a specific character flaw which afflicts the vast majority of us:

“A traveler who had seen many countries, peoples and several of the earth’s continents was asked what attribute he had found in men everywhere. He said: “They have a propensity for laziness.” To others, it seems that he should have said: “They are all fearful. They hide themselves behind customs and opinions.”

In his heart every man knows quite well that, being unique, he will be in the world only once and that there will be no second chance for his oneness to coalesce from the strangely variegated assortment that he is: he knows it but hides it like a bad conscience – why? From fear of his neighbor, who demands conformity and cloaks himself with it. But what is it that forces the individual to fear his neighbor, to think and act like a member of a herd, and to have no joy in himself? Modesty, perhaps, in a few rare cases. For the majority it is idleness, inertia, in short that propensity for laziness of which the traveler spoke. He is right: men are even lazier than they are fearful.” (Nietzsche, Untimely Meditations III)

During this second round, a threshold seemed to be transcended upon meeting someone with whom I experienced a particular, profound resonance – unlike anything I had known prior – which set me off on a seriously wild & intoxicating ride. Kundalini changes virtually everything in/about one’s human experience.

A Hindu term, darshan, addresses this spontaneous ignition of Kundalini via transmission through contact with another person, or sometimes even through adoring a statue of a deity that’s been worshiped for so long that it, too, can actually emanate enough energy to transmit darshan to believers.

I’ve noticed a renewed wave of interest in Kundalini, and also in Penny Kelly, whose first book (of the many she’s written), Evolving Human, was big for me on the subject. (I had first encountered the term Kundalini in The Stormy Search for the Self, by Christina Grof, during my first dance with K.)

One thing I appreciate about Penny is her languaging. She writes well and describes her experiences in “plain English” as opposed to others (i.e. the “grandfather of Kundalini for the modern age,” Gopi Krishna) whose concepts can be harder to follow due to the Indian cultural & spiritual orientation.

Another relatively new YouTube channel – Jean-Claude at Beyond Mystic – has been offering content I often appreciate and imagine you would too, if you haven’t been tracking him already. He’s personable – and spiritually advanced in his own right – and interviews others who might be considered above the din of typical “new age” youtube fare. J-C has a particular interest in Kundalini and has interviewed Penny Kelly on the topic. I’ve been intending to post this interview for months!

Jean-Claude also interviewed Kerry Cassidy re: her Kundalini experience, which I’ve heard her allude to numerous times, but never in any detail. J-C picked up this thread with her in a video you can find if you search his channel’s content. (Three videos in one post is my max!)

So – a big endorsement for J-C at Beyond Mystic. He’s also started a Patreon platform for more “risque” content like tantric sex, which tends to become a logical flow for people with awakened Kundalini: a sublime merge with the Divine in sexual union. The way sex was meant to be experienced, in my view! The polar opposite of the demoralizing depravity pushed in the porn industry, which is tragically so readily available to impressionable young souls on the internet.

Buddhist monks’ masterful management of form using universal principles has long held the world at large in awe. I can’t imagine anyone not being amazed (and better yet –  inspired) by these monks who work with principles of reality that remain a mystery to the masses.

Mysterious Abilities of Buddhist Monks

Over 700 years ago, famed explorer Marco Polo reached the furthest limits of his legendary journey from West to East, arriving in Tibet, more than 4000 miles from his home. There, he became the first Westerner to record an encounter with Tibetan lamas, Buddhist monks hidden away in the Himalayan Mountains. In the seminal work about his journey, The Travels of Marco Polo, he describes how these monks were able to levitate off the ground.

Of course, Marco Polo was not alone in this type of observation. Over the centuries, many have recorded instances of Buddhist masters who could levitate. Even in modern times, videos have surfaced, which appeared to show exactly that.

Levitation, incidentally, is one of four psychic powers mentioned within Buddhist scriptures, alongside telepathy, psychokinesis, and the ability to divide the astral body from the physical body. The Buddha himself was said to possess “all manner of supernatural powers,” including the ability to levitate and to know the thoughts of others, to create doubles of himself, and even to project fire and water from his body.
