DO VAMPIRES EXIST?

Vampires are creepy creatures of the night which feeds on human blood. They can be killed by sunlight, silver bullets and when pinned to the ground by a stake of the crucifix; so they say. Now whether they do exist?

People raise arguments and debate with evidence to back up their claims. I know vampires do exist but not as the normal stories goes. Some people can give up all they have just to work towards the ill of others. In some cases the go to the length of using spiritual means; voodoo as it is known in the western world, juju as in African/ Nigerian culture or better still witchery as you know where……….. Well such practices are more deadly than being a vampire as your prey can hardly recognize his predator that is in disguise. They no longer come creeping in the darkest of nights but in broad daylight. Why is man not satisfied with his progress alone? He will rather prefer that other not make it to where he stands. Wants to be the one and only man standing. Why is there joy in seeing others fall, people suffer or destruction come on the property of others? In the business world today some undo their associates and partners to get it all. Government oppressing it’s civilians to embezzle the wealth of a state. These are worse than being a vampire as the victims are living and yet die slowly. Why not do it now. You never intend their survival anyway.

A day is coming soon when all vampires will be extinct.(Revelation 20:11-15)

Those who don’t dream will never make it far in life. For Desires give birth to dreams, and dreams helps to set goals, without goal there will be no target or focus to accomplishments. Dreams can create a driving force which propels when all motivation fails.

Unlike my other posts this one is a unique one for it is a problem solver.
I ran into this publication when I was looking for a solution to a problem I guess others will also be battling with.
If you are an Electronics Engineer then this may be just for you.

If you have a millimeter it is real easy, set it to the diode scale and start testing the transistor between two legs at a time, swapping the probes around until you get a reading on the meter, one of the legs under test will be the base, now move the red probe to the other leg of the transistor if no reading then it is a NPN transistor, move the red probe back and move the black probe to the open leg of the transistor, the leg with the red probe on will be the base, note there will be a small difference in the reading between the base and the other two legs, the leg with the smaller reading will be the collector and the larger reading is the emitter, if the black probe on one leg give you a reading with the red probe on any of the other two legs it is a PNP transistor and the leg with the black probe is the base, the leg with the smaller reading is the collector and the larger one the emitter. Use a known good transistor with known pin out to experiment with.

Even the Faintest Call

Why do I not call on His name? Why do I run to this neighbor and that, when God is so near and will hear my faintest call? Why do I sit down, and devise schemes, and invent plans? Why not at once roll myself and my burden upon the Lord? Straightforward is the best runner -- why do I not run at once to the living God? In vain shall I look for deliverance anywhere else; but with God I shall find it; for here I have His royal SHALL to make it sure.
I need not ask whether I may call on Him or not, for that word "Whosoever 15 a very wide and comprehensive one. Whosoever means me, for it means anybody and everybody who calls upon God. The Gift of Christmas

I doubt there is anyone who enjoys Christmas gifts more than I do. I enjoy picking out that special gift for that special someone and fixing it up all pretty and giving it away. I really enjoy that special gift someone gives to me. I like the bright paper, the beautiful bows and the festive gift bags.

Today I am reminded of the greatest gift I have ever received. The Gift of Christmas is the Gift of Jesus Himself....God's Grace Gift to me. When I received this Gift I received the Gift of Eternal life...total forgiveness...acceptance....unconditional Love...the list goes on and on. I received His Life!!! Do I hear a praise???

I am also reminded that this Gift of Christmas was first wrapped in swaddling clothes and laid in a manger and later He was wrapped in linen wrappings and spices and laid in a tomb...all so I could be wrapped in His Robe of Righteousness. Truly He is worthy of our Praise!!!

New Invention Converts Urine to Power

Before you next flush the toilet, consider this: Scientists in Singapore have developed a battery powered by urine.
Researchers at the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology created the credit card-size battery as a disposable power source for medical test kits.

Scientists have been scrambling to create smaller, more efficient and less expensive “biochips” to test for diseases such as diabetes. Until now, however, similarly small batteries to power the devices remained elusive.

Diagnostic test kits commonly analyse the chemical composition of a person’s urine to detect a malady. Ki Bang Lee and his colleagues realised that the substance being tested – urine – could also power the test.

“In order to address this problem, we have designed a disposable battery on a chip, which is activated by biofluids such as urine,” Lee wrote in an e-mail to National Geographic News.
The research team describes the battery in the current issue of the Journal of Micromechanics and Microengineering.

Daniel Kammen, director of the Renewable and Appropriate Energy Laboratory at the University of California, Berkeley, said the technology is a welcome innovation in a time of rising energy prices.
“All jokes (about) urine aside, what is needed are low-cost batteries. …” he said. “The other neat thing about this is the fact that it’s basically a biodegradable battery.”

Urine Power
To make the battery, Lee and his colleagues soaked a piece of paper in a solution of copper chloride and sandwiched it between strips of magnesium and copper. This sandwich was then laminated between two sheets of transparent plastic.
When a drop of urine is added to the paper through a slit in the plastic, a chemical reaction takes place that produces electricity, Lee said.
The prototype battery produced about 1.5 volts, the same as a standard AA battery and runs for about 90 minutes. Researchers said the power, voltage and lifetime of the battery can be improved by adjusting the geometry and materials used.
Urine contains many ions, (electrically charged atoms) which allows the electricity-producing chemical reaction to take place in the urine battery, said UC Berkeley’s Kammen. Other bodily fluids, such as tears, blood and semen, would work easily as well to activate the battery.
“Little bags of urine may generate chuckles,” Kammen said. “But really urine is just a nice example (of) a whole variety of compounds that do this stuff.” Even children’s lunch-box fruit-juice packets are sufficient, he added.

Alternative Energy
While medical devices inspired the urine battery, it can activate any electric device with low power consumption, according to Lee, the battery’s co-inventor.
“For example, we can integrate a small cell phone and our battery on a plastic card. This can be activated by body fluids, such as saliva, during an emergency,” he said.
According to Kammen the technology could even be applied to laptop computers, mp3 players, televisions and cars. Body-fluid-powered batteries “can do all kinds of things. The issue is how they scale up” to produce more power, he said.

One approach is to simply build larger batteries. Another method is to link lots of little battery cells side by side, which is how the batteries in laptop computers work, Kammen explained.
Kammen, who advocates government funding for alternative energy research, says the wide number of applications for cheap and efficient biofluid-powered batteries illustrates the value of research. “Investigation leads to innovation,” he said.

The question kept coming into my head over and over again. As I ponder over the present societal concept of how the world keeps going on.

The world in Telecommunication is said to be a global village as this days what used to be a rigorous process for sending across information is now a thing of the past. In less than second information can be transferred in the speed of light trough space to wherever in the world you want it to be.

A Jet travels only 98% of lights speed. The signal transmitted by our communication gadgets is an electromagnetic wave which is a type of light wave so it is obvious that light is faster than Jet.

The world has gone digital in most aspect. The banks are into electronic banking, schools being ran with online system of registration, lectures and examinations. Market places and shops are now online for people to shop ...I can go on and on. We just have to face the facts. This age is no longer owned by the jets but Digits.

Digits rule the world. You may not accept this not necessarily because it’s false but because you’ve never considered it closely. This is a time everything is going digital.

We all strive to make the processes simple that with a micro chip, logics are stored and can be recalled at anytime to process our procedures in less than a second.

BE OPTIMISTIC

It has been said that, “Money may not be the most important thing, but it's way up there with oxygen.” The fastest and easiest way to get the things you want as quickly as possible is almost always to have enough money to be able to buy them, whatever they cost. For this reason, the desire to acquire money, quickly and easily, and as much as possible, is a major motivator of human behavior. But it is not usually money that people really want.

Freedom
Sometimes I will ask my clients why they want to acquire a lot of money. After thinking about their answer for a couple of minutes, they finally conclude that what they want more than anything else is “freedom.” In reality, they see money as a means to achieving the freedom they really desire. They define freedom as having enough money so they can get everything they want. Having enough money will enable them to be completely free from worry about safety, security, leisure, love, respect and fulfillment. They see having lots of money as the fastest way to a good life.

The Lust for Power
The desire for power is one of the most destructive forces in the world today, and always has been. If the fastest and easiest way to get all the things you want is to have all the money you need, it then follows that the fastest and easiest way to get the money you need is to acquire power over people and resources, both in business and at the political level. Power can be defined as “the ability to control or influence money, people and resources.” It is the ability to force people to do what you want them to do, whether or not it is consistent with their own personal desires.

Money and Power Together
Money starts out as the motivation for an expedient person to fulfill his needs, for himself and his family. It can soon become an end in itself. Once a person has enough money so that he no longer worries about money, it becomes a form of measurement, a scorecard that he uses to compare himself against others. Megalomaniacs and dictators often become obsessed with power, to the exclusion of all other considerations. By the same token, many men in business become preoccupied with money, to the exclusion of other things, especially their families.

How Power is Acquired
There are different ways that power is acquired in our society. In business, power is acquired by getting results, by making decisions that lead to incremental gain in revenues and profits. The most powerful people in the business world are those with the best reputation for achieving financial goals in their areas of responsibility.

Action Exercise
Sometimes the relative rank order of importance of a person is obvious. He or she might be better dressed, or wear more jewelry. In the financial world, hierarchy becomes clear in the way people speak or in the way that they are treated by others. It is important to carry yourself appropriately in order to be taken seriously in the finance world.

HAVING A BACK-UP FROM A SUPERNATURAL FORCE

God—the eternal God—is Himself our support at all times, and especially when we are sinking in deep trouble. There are seasons when the Christian sinks very low in humiliation. Under a deep sense of his great sinfulness, he is humbled before God till he scarcely knows how to pray, because he appears, in his own sight, so worthless. Well, child of God, remember that when thou art at thy worst and lowest, yet "underneath" thee "are everlasting arms." Sin may drag thee ever so low, but Christ's great atonement is still under all. You may have descended into the deeps, but you cannot have fallen so low as "the uttermost"; and to the uttermost He saves. Again, the Christian sometimes sinks very deeply in sore trial from without. Every earthly prop is cut away. What then? Still underneath him are "the everlasting arms." He cannot fall so deep in distress and affliction but what the covenant grace of an ever-faithful God will still encircle him. The Christian may be sinking under trouble from within through fierce conflict, but even then he cannot be brought so low as to be beyond the reach of the "everlasting arms"—they are underneath him; and, while thus sustained, all Satan's efforts to harm him avail nothing.

This assurance of support is a comfort to any weary but earnest worker in the service of God. It implies a promise of strength for each day, grace for each need, and power for each duty. And, further, when death comes, the promise shall still hold good. When we stand in the midst of Jordan, we shall be able to say with David, "I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me." We shall descend into the grave, but we shall go no lower, for the eternal arms prevent our further fall. All through life, and at its close, we shall be upheld by the "everlasting arms"—arms that neither flag nor lose their strength, for "the everlasting God fainteth not, neither is weary."

The winning mind is an optimistic and creative one. It does not give up or take no for an answer. Always sees possibilities. Discusses solutions and not problems........... .
