Entertainer Michael Jackson's plastic surgeries were the source of speculation for years before his death in 2009. Jackson admitted to having rhinoplasty surgery. Despite speculation about Jackson's progressively lighter skin tone, his doctor, Dr. Arnold Klein, insists that Jackson never did anything to change his skin color. Jackson said in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that he suffered from vitiligo. Dr. Klein says that Jackson was forced to use creams to attempt to even out his skin tone because of the effects of the skin disorder.

Surgeons have alleged that they either performed or were aware of several surgeries on Jackson's face including cheek implants and eyelid surgery.

Iovate, the manufacturer for the reported fat-burning over-the-counter medication Hydroxycut is recalling 14 versions the drug. Iovate's recall is in response to reports issued to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration that the drug has been responsible for various serious medical conditions ranging from jaundice to liver damage and death. The FDA urges all consumers to immediately cease using the product.

Although the product claims to be made from all natural ingredients, consumers are reporting serious injuries from its use.
The Food and Drug Administration issued a warning to the manufacturer on May 1, 2009.
