Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Has Leukemia

Basketball great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has announced that he has been suffering from leukemia for almost a year. Abdul-Jabbar has chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), which was once considered a fatal disease, but oral medications may now keep it under control in up to 90% of patients.

Scott Eyre and ADHD

Baseball pitcher Scott Eyre was diagnosed with ADHD in 2001. After his team therapist took notice of his behavior on the mound versus his behavior in the dug out he suggested Eyre get tested for ADHD. Signs of ADHD followed him from childhood into adulthood.
