Loss of Bladder Control and Epilepsy

Klonopin and Alcohol

Lamotrigine and Pregnancy

Lamotrigine has been classified as a category C medication by the U.S. FDA, indicating that the medication should only be used during pregnancy when the benefits to the mother clearly outweigh any potential risks to the fetus. There is little information available regarding the use of lamotrigine during human pregnancy, but animal studies have revealed an increased risk of birth defects such as cleft palate. Patients who become pregnant should notify their physician as soon as possible if they are currently undergoing lamotrigine treatment.

Lamotrigine Rash

There is a risk of serious skin rashes developing with the use of lamotrigine. These skin rashes, while rare, can be fatal. Patients under the age of 16 are more susceptible to suffering skin rash as a side effect of lamotrigine. Lamotrigine is sometimes recommended in the treatment of epilepsy and bipolar disorder.

Klonopin Dosage
