Stage 3 Hypertension

Stage 3 hypertension, known as severe hypertension, is when blood pressure readings are above 160/110. This stage of hypertension can produce a variety of acute, life-threatening complications, which are considered hypertensive emergencies. These include hypertensive encephalopathy, retinal hemorrhages, papilledema, and acute renal failure.

Rheumatoid Factor in Hypertension

Syncope (also known as fainting) is a temporary loss of consciousness caused by inadequate blood supply to the brain. Symptoms prior to an episode of syncope may include feeling warm and flushed, sweating, blurry vision, confusion, and nausea, followed by the onset of collapse and loss of consciousness. Since there are many possible causes of syncope, it is very important to see your doctor following an episode.
