We are open:
Monday and Friday 9am to 7pm.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday 9am to 6pm.
Sunday Noon to 4pm.

The orioles are here!

The orioles are back! Spotted our first in Wauwatosa on May 3rd.
Stop in for a good selection of oriole feeders. We also have feeders for the hummingbirds that are sure to follow.

Easter Lilies are here!

An annual tradition, Easter lilies are easy to care for and the perfect addition to your holiday décor.

Lilies thrive in moderately cool temperatures and will thrive near a window in bright, indirect, natural daylight. Direct sun exposure should be avoided.

Water when the soil is dry to the touch, making sure that water can drain from the bottom of the decorative pot or foil wrapping.
Exposure to drafts, heat or dry air from appliances, fireplaces or heating ducts should be avoided.

Plant Shop Happenings

As we turn the corner towards spring things start to happen at our Plant Shop! Garden seeds and seed starting supplies are in. Check out our selection and start to plan your garden. If garden planning is your thing we also have a new selection of gardening books to help you deal with the snow and cold.
If you need a little mid winter pick me up we have received a new shipment of jewelry and scarves all at prices that make it easy to cheer yourself or someone special.

Sue Retires!

Today is our sister Sue’s last work day at Wis Garden & Pet. After a long career at our family business Sue has earned some serious relaxation time!
We are jealous as you look forward to new adventures in retirement and we wish you all the best. We will miss your knowledge and experience in plants and gardening as well as your great taste in our gift department.
Good luck and we hope you have many happy years of retirement!

Poinsettias

Complete your holiday decorating with colorful poinsettias. Our plants are all grown locally in Milwaukee and will thrive for many weeks with the proper care:

most importantly avoid drafts
provide bright diffused sunlight
water 1 to 2 times per week- donot allow the soil to dry out
when transporting plants be sure they are protected from the cold

Poinsettias have gotten a bad rap as poisonous plants but that is an old wives tale.
