Pan Tilt Zoom cameras are the way to go with our 35x zoom camera we can view business cards from 75 ft away or more. This Automatic motion tracking camera follows the movement and has the ability to zoom in 128 different preset locations you would like it to scan your property. Such as zooming in on gates, shops, doors, ect. The PTZ we carry is weather proof to with stand a direct hit of a water hose, or submerged under the water for up to 30 seconds.
Good Companies years ago established their companies on Customer Service. So is it really all that important to just provide a service, or do people liked to be served a service along with the product they buy?

Know who is boss. You are in business to service customer needs, and you can only do that if you know what it is your customers want. When you truly listen to your customers, they let you know what they want and how you can provide good service. Never forget that the customer pays our salary and makes your job possible.

Be a good listener. Take the time to identify customer needs by asking questions and concentrating on what the customer is really saying. Listen to their words, tone of voice, body language, and most importantly, how they feel. Beware of making assumptions – thinking you intuitively know what the customer wants. Do you know what three things are most important to your customer?

Effective listening and undivided attention are particularly important on the show floor where there is a great danger of preoccupation – looking around to see to whom else we could be selling to identify and anticipate your customers needs. Customers don’t buy products or services, they buy good feelings and solutions to problems. Most customer needs are emotional rather than logical. The more you know your customers, the better you become at anticipating their needs. Communicate regularly so that you are aware of problems or upcoming needs.

Make customers feel important and appreciated. Treat them as individuals. Always use their name and find ways to compliment them, but be sincere. People value sincerity. It creates good feeling and trust. Think about ways to generate good feelings about doing business with you. Customers are very sensitive and know whether or not you really care about them. Thank them every time you get a chance. On the show floor be sure that your body language conveys sincerity. Your words and actions should be congruent.

Help customers understand your systems. Your organization may have the world’s best systems for getting things done, but if customers don’t understand them, they can get confused, impatient and angry. Take time to explain how your systems work and how they simplify transactions. Be careful that your systems don’t reduce the human element of your organization.

Appreciate the power of “Yes“. Always look for ways to help your customers. When they have a request (as long as it is reasonable) tell them that you can do it. Figure out how afterwards. Look for ways to make doing business with you easy. Always do what you say you are going to do.

Know how to apologize. When something goes wrong, apologize. It’s easy and customers like it. The customer may not always be right, but the customer must always win. Deal with problems immediately and let customers know what you have done. Make it simple for customers to complain. Value their complaints. As much as we dislike it, it gives us an opportunity to improve. Even if customers are having a bad day, go out of your way to make them feel comfortable.

Give more than expected. Since the future of most companies strive to keep customers happy, think of ways to lift your company above the competition. Consider the following: What can you give customers that they cannot get elsewhere?

What can you do to follow-up and thank people even when they don’t buy?

What can you give customers that is totally unexpected

1. Get regular feedback. Encourage and welcome suggestions about how you could improve.

There are several ways in which you can find out what customers think and feel about your services.

Listen carefully to what they say. Check back regularly to see how things are going.

Provide a method that invites constructive criticism, comments and suggestions.

Treat employees well. Employees are your internal customers and need a regular dose of appreciation. Thank them and find ways to let them know how important they are. Treat your employees with respect and chances are they will have a higher regard for customers. Appreciation stems from the top. Treating customers and employees well is equally important.

Good customer service is the lifeblood of any business. You can offer promotions and slash prices to bring in as many new customers as you want, but unless you can get some of those customers to come back, your business won’t be profitable for long.

Good customer service is all about bringing customers back. And about sending them away happy – happy enough to pass positive feedback about your business along to others, who may then try the product or service you offer for themselves and in their turn become repeat customers.

If you’re a good salesperson, you can sell anything to anyone once. But it will be your approach to customer service that determines whether or not you’ll ever be able to sell that person anything else. The essence of good customer service is forming a relationship with customers – a relationship that that individual customer feels that he would like to pursue.

How do you go about forming such a relationship? By remembering the one true secret of good customer service and acting accordingly; “You will be judged by what you do, not what you say.”

I know this verges on the kind of statement that’s often seen on a sampler, but providing good customer service IS a simple thing. If you truly want to have good customer service, all you have to do is ensure that your business consistently does these things:

1) Answer your phone.

Get call forwarding. Or an answering service. Hire staff if you need to. But make sure that someone is picking up the phone when someone calls your business. (Notice I say “someone”. People who call want to talk to a live person, not a “fake recorded robot”.) For more on answering the phone, see Phone Answering Tips to Win Business.

2) Don’t make promises unless you WILL keep them.

Not plan to keep them. Will keep them. Reliability is one of the keys to any good relationship, and good customer service is no exception. If you say, “Your new bedroom furniture will be delivered on Tuesday”, make sure it is delivered on Tuesday. Otherwise, don’t say it. The same rule applies to client appointments, deadlines, etc.. Think before you give any promise – because nothing annoys customers more than a broken one.

3) Listen to your customers.

Is there anything more exasperating than telling someone what you want or what your problem is and then discovering that that person hasn’t been paying attention and needs to have it explained again? From a customer’s point of view, I doubt it. Can the sales pitches and the product babble. Let your customer talk and show him that you are listening by making the appropriate responses, such as suggesting how to solve the problem.

4) Deal with complaints.

No one likes hearing complaints, and many of us have developed a reflex shrug, saying, “You can’t please all the people all the time”. Maybe not, but if you give the complaint your attention, you may be able to please this one person this one time – and position your business to reap the benefits of good customer service.

5) Be helpful – even if there’s no immediate profit in it.

The other day I popped into a local watch shop because I had lost the small piece that clips the pieces of my watch band together. When I explained the problem, the proprietor said that he thought he might have one lying around. He found it, attached it to my watch band – and charged me nothing! Where do you think I’ll go when I need a new watch band or even a new watch? And how many people do you think I’ve told this story to?

6) Train your staff (if you have any) to be ALWAYS helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable.

Do it yourself or hire someone to train them. Talk to them about good customer service and what it is (and isn’t) regularly. Most importantly, give every member of your staff enough information and power to make those small customer-pleasing decisions, so he never has to say, “I don’t know, but so-and-so will be back at…”

7) Take the extra step.

For instance, if someone walks into your store and asks you to help them find something, don’t just say, “It’s in Aisle 3.” Lead the customer to the item. Better yet, wait and see if he has questions about it, or further needs. Whatever the extra step may be, if you want to provide good customer service, take it. They may not say so to you, but people notice when people make an extra effort and will tell other people.

 Throw in something extra.

Whether it’s a coupon for a future discount, additional information on how to use the product, or a genuine smile, people love to get more than they thought they were getting. And don’t think that a gesture has to be large to be effective. The local art framer that we use attaches a package of picture hangers to every picture he frames. A small thing, but so appreciated.

If you apply these eight simple rules consistently, your business will become known for its good customer service. And the best part? The irony of good customer service is that over time it will bring in more new customers than promotions and price slashing ever did!

Watch out the Christmas vehicle break ins are rising as usual, it is just the beginning of the rise of break ins that are on their way to homes. First the rise of car break ins as people shop to get their gifts, then its the rise of break ins after they get their gifts home and wrapped and under the tree. Plan ahead, get a home security system installed or camera system installed to deter those burglaries before they get you. Far to often during this time of season, people think it costs to much to have a system installed thinking they can not afford it. Basic package installed is only $349.00 and $12.99 a month for the monitoring a priceless benefit to your home and family that will work long after the holidays and into the summer when your going on vacation. A lasting investment that will work for years to come, 75% less likely to have your home from being broken into than those that do not have a system .

Water Sensor Alarms a very helpful device to keep your floors from getting damaged by accidental water problems.

What purpose could anyone want to use a water sensor alarm? Ever have a toilet overflow, due to the float mechanism getting stuck? What about a water heater shut off valve stuck open due to lighting and the water supply valve does not shut off? The number one insurance claim problem is due to some sort of water damage often times runs a close second to termite damage. Question is how can someone prevent the destruction of water damage without costing two arms and leg? Monitored Water Sensor, for a minimum of about $65.00 one time charge and no additional monitoring costs either. Have your installer mount one next to your washer and dryer, water heater, or near an outside spick-et for in the winter the pipe freezes and breaks in the wall after it thaws out. If you have ever had to deal with one of these situations causing you to have to get a hotel until your floors get replaced, and walls get torn out and replaced. Paying for storage units, to store all the items that didn’t get destroyed. The major inconveniences of living out of boxes and suitcases while still working and coordinating contractors to repair your home. Then when the insurance gets done paying for everything your rates go up. Maybe the cost of a monitored water sensor alarm, doesn’t sound so bad after all. I have put in alarm systems not so much to keep the burglars out, though it does that to, but to prevent damage from water to hardwood floors ect. Many of my customers have no desire to have a security system as much as monitored water, carbon monoxide and smoke detectors.

Simple device located near the floor to detect the least amount of water, alarm goes off, call the monitoring station, and they call you to let you know providing you ample time to return home to catch the problem long before any damage is caused.

Landlords often get security systems just for this purpose alone, then pass the cost of the security system off to the tenant. Renters would really like to have a security system but most of the companies out there will not provide systems to renters without the landlords permission. This way the landlord knows when damage occurs to his property while the tenant is safe from burglary or worse yet home invasions so they both benefit from the service.

Water Sensor Alarms can save your wallet in more ways than keeping it dry, keep in mind though in order to install a water sensor alarm you must have the basic security system installed first. Not a large investment approximately $400.00 often times less than the deductible of which you will pay for when the damage does occur. Great part about the security system is it also lowers your insurance by at least 10 %, and displays to your family that you care for there safety and gives you the peace of mind not only is your house protected from the nameless acts of carelessness and simple accidents but also from burglary, medical situations, and fire. There is more to a home security system than most people give credit to.

When the time arrives as you walk into your home and feel the water come up between your toes remember you could of had a water sensor installed but now it is to late. Don’t forget to get it done with the insurance money when you replace the floors it will be well worth it .

Having a good offense is often times the best defense. Burglars, intruders, and the like seldom broadcast who, where and when they are planning to go next. With these thoughts in mind, people need to have a plan that works. Some believe having a good guard dog is what is best, however remember animals need to be feed, cleaned up after and taken to the vet from time to time for medical reasons, or keep fleas under control. All of these items either cost money or time, good part about it a great guard dog can be a good companion, as well as guarding your home.

For some getting to know your neighbors or having a set schedule for the family to follow to make it appear as if someone is always home. All of these ideas are great and work really well to protect your home however nothing is stopping a burglar or intruder from venturing into your home if it doesn’t appear if he could ever get caught. That is why a home security sign in your yard and window stickers are 75% of your deterence to prevent thieves from even trying to break in in the first place.

Guns are obviously a good defense, the sound of a pump action shot gun in the dark will start the adrenalin moving for anybody within ear shot of hearing that sound. Only one problem with this option, a gun when someone is home and able to use it responsibility becomes a extremely useful. But when nobody is at home when a thief enters the home that gun now becomes a very valuable item on the list of thieves to take. Then with out a Security System sounding off the thieves have all the time in complete solitude to decide exactly what else they might like to take. Most sirens are between 106-120 decibels, (how loud is 106 decibels?) as loud as having a police car in your house with the siren on.

That brings us to the next best line of defense, Monitored Home Security. Besides getting a dog, or getting to know your neighbors a Home Security System provides other benifits of protection for your family not just burglary but also medical emergencey and Fire. Other benefits that could be added at a minimal expense such as Carbon monoxide detection, water detection in case your basement floods, water heater bursts or toilet overflows, asset protection for items like jet skis, work trailers or your car sitting on the street ect. Maybe remotes to operate your system that will be-able to arm the system in two different modes, open / close garage doors, and have a panic button that could be programmed to be either a Medical button or police panic. The options could really go on and on depending what your particular needs are.

Monitored Home Security varies on monthly rates but at Witness Security rates start at $12.99 month, with an option of a full 100% warranty. Monitoring through a UL Listed Monitoring Station is and should be a priority to ensure your family and loved ones are responded to in the event of an emergency situation. Security Systems vary in price to install Some companies like Guardian Security use companies such as Witness Security as a dealer for them to find customers and install the system. Guardian allows Witness Security to provide all the basic equipment, installation, and activation at no cost with no hidden fees. Must be with approved credit and will be an agreement but the great part about it, is all the customer pays is the monthly rate which is about $1.00 a day.

The next line of defense is probably the most recognized and that is Surveillance Cameras. Some basic things to look for will be the amount of TVL lines of resolution need to be high enough to be able to see defined pictures. Infrared led lights on the lenses to see at night, the more led lights the farther and brighter the cameras can see at night. The size of the lens in milli meters determines the width and length the camera will see. These features are not rocket science but necessary in order to determine what camera you need for your application. The DVR needs to recordable automatically with out having to remember to change VCR tapes especially if your not present to change them. Individuals can purchase systems at Sams Club or on line and install them yourself. The equipment is good, but not customized for your specific needs. Plus you have to install it, and if running wires so that they are not seen is a priority of yours more than likely you might want a professional do it. The cables that come with the cameras are at certain lengths which may not reach to where you need them to be. If networking the system on the web, if the system is capable requires some technological knowledge. Powering up the cameras also will often times present a struggle due to fact each camera has its own transformer that needs to be plugged in and have outlets available where the camera is may not be possible with out some electrical skills to put outlets in. Witness Security not only installs, programs, networks and customizes your camera to your desires and needs. With high quality Sony equipment that surpasses the average do it yourself equipment at a very affordable rate with a 90 day warranty on all equipment and the installation. Witness Security also has a 100% warranty available on all equipment and installation for the duration agreed upon at installation.

Still not a bad idea to get a security system to announce the arrival of one these would be thieves or worse. I install systems in peoples homes every month where they walk in on someone in their homes most of the time they exit out the back when they come in. Never know if they will stay to do harm or not.

For what it costs to have a security system, sure gives me a calm assurance that I am protecting my wife and children as much as I can even though I may not be with them. It also encourages me to know I am serving families to help protect themselves and their homes when they are away.

(Tulsa, OK) – Tulsa Police went over the latest figures from their CompStat program Wednesday, which show that auto thefts were up 17 percent during the most recent four-week reporting period.

“That’s kind of a seasonal thing to be expected,” said Capt. Shawn King.

He said they always work to educate people on ways to make their vehicle a less inviting target.

“Gosh, don’t leave your keys in your cars and don’t leave valuables in plain view in your car,” King said.

He says the department is also focused on catching the people responsible for the recent rash of copper thefts from air-conditioning units and the surge of catalytic converter thefts from automobiles.

Overall, crime was down in Tulsa. Some of that is due to changes in police reporting methods, but King says a significant amount is a genuine drop in criminal activity.

Tulsa gang members are not coming from where most people think, a consultant to the state’s Office of Juvenile Affairs said at the March meeting of the East Tulsa Prevention Coalition.

“People tend to think they come from the Bloods and Crips gangs in Los Angeles. Those gangs did spread across the country many years ago when they gained national attention,” said Gary Jones of the Jones Consulting Group.

“But today, gangs we see in Oklahoma are neighborhood sects. They are groups of individuals — many juveniles, some adults — who decide to affiliate themselves together. They are usually involved with illegal activity, usually distribution of illegal drugs for fast cash.“

Jones talked about a bill the Oklahoma House recently approved by a 99-1 vote to create the Oklahoma Statewide Gang Intervention Steering Committee, made up of the different entities already on the frontlines in the fight against gangs. The measure is headed to the Senate.

He also talked about the Oklahoma Anti-Gang Model he said is helping address the statewide gang problems.

“Gang-involved youths compared to youths in trouble with the law are four times more likely to be in prison at some point. That closes the book on their lives,” Jones said.

By the time gang members exit the juvenile justice system, they are more likely to have developed serious offense histories and to be incarcerated in the adult correctional system, he said.

Gangs are no longer just an urban problem, he said. Ten

counties account for 59.2 percent of juveniles handled by the state between 1999 and 2006. These counties account for 74 percent of the identified gang members.

“Many of these gang members are involved in drug smuggling along such major highway corridors as the (Interstate) 35 corridor that sees drugs moving through Oklahoma to states north,” Jones said.

Many gang members have similar background factors: low educational achievement rates and high rates of unemployment, school dropout, poverty, public assistance, broken families and crime, he said.

“We know that and since we do, why don’t we do something about changing those risks? We can’t just move a family from a neighborhood where those factors are significant to a similar neighborhood and expect improvement,” Jones said.

“Up to a few years ago, Oklahoma took a suppression approach to gang problems. They took problem youths off the streets and put them in prison. The problem with that was that when they got out of prison they had learned to be better criminals, smarter.

“Now with a felony on their records, they found it hard to get a job. So they turned to distribution of drugs, and to keep from going back to prison, they recruited juveniles to do their work, often younger siblings.”

Corinice Wilson is director of Tulsa Youth Intervention Project with the Community Service Council of Greater Tulsa, which works with the Oklahoma Anti-Gang Model.

“While youth gang members must be held accountable for their criminal acts, they must be provided with services for their academic, economic and social needs. Additional funding would allow the Tulsa Youth Intervention Project to expand our current services and provide more positive opportunity for youth at risk in other parts of the city,” Wilson said.

Jones said the Oklahoma Anti-Gang Model is based on the U.S. Department of Justice Comprehensive Gang Model. Oklahoma is in its second year of operating its model and has spent $1.2 million fighting the gang problem.

Because gangs are homegrown in local neighborhoods, the state model takes a neighborhood approach, Jones said.

According to an Office of Juvenile Affairs report, these programs are governed by local steering committees; involve regular and frequent meetings with law enforcement to share intelligence about gangs and gang activity; and provide a continuum of services.

While local law enforcement provides suppression of gang activity, the anti-gang programs provide on-going intelligence about gang members considered the worst of the worst by local residents and the counseling and ancillary services to families and youth after assessment. A key is helping individuals and families know what help is available, Jones said.

“The problem in Oklahoma is limited resources. We’re only able to work the Oklahoma model in nine (areas) statewide right now,” Jones said.

Three of those are in Tulsa:

North Tulsa bounded by 86th Street North on the north, Interstate 244 on the south, North Osage Drive on the west, and Yale Avenue on the east.

East Tulsa, about 10 square miles, focuses on the six square miles bounded by 21st Street on the north, 41st Street on the south, Mingo Road on the west and 193rd East Avenue on the east.

South Tulsa bounded by 51st Street on the north, 91st Street on the south, Harvard Avenue on the east. Peoria Avenue on the west.

North Tulsa bounded by 86th Street North on the north, Interstate 244 on the south, North Osage Drive on the west, and Yale Avenue on the east.East Tulsa, about 10 square miles, focuses on the six square miles bounded by 21st Street on the north, 41st Street on the south, Mingo Road on the west and 193rd East Avenue on the east.South Tulsa bounded by 51st Street on the north, 91st Street on the south, Harvard Avenue on the east. Peoria Avenue on the west.
