Today I have been beta testing lego universe, besides some minor glitches the game is great! Like a mix between POTConline and Wizards101 with some of the lego humor! One of my favorite mini games is racing, pretty simple but the racetrack is so cool! Oh the game just opened back up again! Check back tomorrow for your daily dose of poison!

As you know, I haven't been on Central lately. Three days ago, I was hacked. I was just minding my regular buisness around central, and suddenly these disturbing messages started appearing on the screen. The all said something like this, but with different programs: _ is inffected by _. This program is trying to get your credit card info by using _. I didn't know who did it, or where to start stopping it. I told my dad the night he came home and he said ok and then went upstairs to fiddle around with the computer. He fixed it on Thursday night, and I wasn't able to go on that night. So for any of you who are wondering, that is why I have been gone for a while. Thank you and goodnight.

PVP progress & Onion challange

So my new Life (level 22) and Death (level 12) wizards are making their run for their gear. One is 20 and 1 and the other is 20 and 3 or something like that. Starting to get close to ranking down to pick up tickets both only have 200 some tickets. Then I see Onion Knights / Duncan's - Earthtamer challange and I think that will be fun I'll do it next time on the way back up.

I get in there last night and run into a level 30 myth that knows what he's doing but is only a veteran for some reason; maybe he had ranked down and was on his way back up. I know I'm in trouble, my myth warlord has been beating grandmasters at a steady clip since level 20. I am on my life which you don't think of as an arena beast but is pretty solid. I was in trouble early but had got my minion out and his minion down and was just starting to turn it around. I think he felt it too. He buffed up a cyclops enough that it went through a tower and the three pip amor sheild then pulled out a mintor tc and dealt me damage I couldnt recover from. I believe if you've taken the time to buy/trade craft treasure cards you are free to use them no complaints. I am kinda impressed that at 8 levels lower my life forced a 1000 gold tc if you can find it in the bazar to beat me now, but then even I was having trouble not being frustrated. ugghhhh that hurt.

In reviewing the match in my mind I made a mistake in judgement - I always go after Myth Minions because I know they win me the match. But he was protecting his so well and and not himself and I could heal, I should have turned up the heat on him instead and he might not have had time to set all that up. Oh well learning experience, I would have been mad if this would have been during my run for the above mentioned challange. It will be difficult not to run into one player like this during the run.

It will be fun to see what happens when I do the challange for real - if I loose after 20 perfect matches with like 3 to go It will be frustrating. This loss actually gives me confidence I can do it.

Hey guys! I know, it's been a while since I've posted a top 10, with the excitement of arena streaks in the air and all. However, I'm back now, and I'm back with a very controversial list.

No, Digby, it's not a list of the top 10 arena duelists.
"Top 10 most controversial spells in Wizard101"
This list applies mainly to PvP, but some controversial PvE spells are thrown in as well. Enjoy!

#10: Tower Shield
Shield noob! Shield noob! I used to see threads on wizard101.com about how Tower Shield was too powerful. Really guys? haha, just so you know, this was more of a comic relief spot on this list. :chris:

#9: Mander Minion, Fire Elemental, etc (All minions)
Minions have been a topic of debate for the simple-minded people. I get called out all the time for using a minion in low level PvP, even though there is clearly nothing wrong with them. Each to his own, I guess.

#8: Melt, Quench, Dissipate, Entangle, etc (All Dispels)
Dispels are really only bad when you go second. However, when you do go second, and you're Storm or Life, be ready to be dispelled every time you get 7 pips. When you get dispelled, your next attack automatically fizzles, and all the pips that that attack would've cost are taken away. So basically, they lose 2 pips, and you lose 7 to do absolutely nothing...

If that isn't cheap, I don't know what is!

#7: Earthquake
To be honest, Earthquake is a pretty cheap spell. I mean, it removes EVERY single shield, blade, trap, charm, etc on your opponent. This ruins strategies, helps stun teams, and frustrates the other team. While I haven't seen just tons of threads on this subject, I'm putting this on here for my own reasons.

#6: Storm Lord
People have complained about its overpowered-ness for a good long time. However, it was recently nerfed with the new 4 stun block update. However, Storm Lord takes a spot on the list for being such a good spell for such a long time, and getting a lot of players to complain.

#5: Beguile
Beguile in team duelings is absolutely awful, especially when you go second against it. You get your Storm Lord all buffed up, then your Death opponent pulls a 3-PIP Beguile on you. BAM! Your team takes major damage, costing you 7 pips and more turns from boosting, and your opponent only loses 3 pips. Unfair? I think so.

#4: Weakness
Weakness, the single spell known by EVERY FREAKING ENEMY IN THE GAME. You buff, buff, buff, setting up to kill that big boss... and boom! Weakness shows up and you can kiss goodbye to 25% of that big attack. Weakness is controversial due to it being spammed by every enemy in the spiral. Kingsisle themselves has stated that it is spammed a little too much.

#3: Judgment
I used to be active on the wizard101.com message boards. In the PVP section of the forum, there were literally dozens of threads on the topic of Judgment and its apparent "unfairness." In all honesty, Judgment isn't over powered at all. It is simple to counter, but simple-minded people have yet to realize it, and instantly go to the forums and complain. So because of stupid people, Judgment takes spot numero tres.

#2: Choke, Blinding Light
These 2 spells serve the exact same purpose: to chain stun. Chain Stunning has been the only true game-breaking tactic in Wizard101. Chaining, by definition, is repeatedly casting stuns in order to keep your opponent immobilized. At first, chaining was possible in 4v4, 3v3, and even 2v2. Finally, KI got wise and added in a Stun Block. After every stun a Stun Block was automatically played. Then, 4v4 became stunning heaven. Stunning teams would consist of 2 high powered schools (preferably Storm) and 2 schools with stuns (Myth and Fire). This way, they could win entire matches without their opponents casting a single spell. On top of that, there was really no way to counter the stun, unless you yourself chain stunned.

The situation got bad. I mean, really really bad. Threads on stunning were popping up all over every W101 forum, players became infamously hated for their acts of chaining, and 4v4 became ignored by all respectable players.

Finally, KI came out with a new, not-so-good solution. 4 Stun Blocks would appear after each stun. Sure, this puts a huge damper on Storm and Ice's ability to duel in 1v1, but it made stunning disappear almost entirely. However, there are a few teams out there who use Stun, Earthquake, Stun, Earthquake, but for the most part 4v4 is okay at last.

#1: Wild Bolt
I don't care what you say, Wild Bolt has been put in sentences with "unfair" long before chain stunning was. In fact, I joined Wizard101 in February of '09, and even then Wild Bolt was the "hot topic." In case you didn't know, I'll give you Wild Bolt's stats. 2 pips, 10% accuracy, 1,000 damage. Now I'll give you its stats when bolters use it. 2 pips, 1,000 damage, 50% accuracy. That becomes a lot less bearable, doesn't it? Because of the damage, low pip cost, and very much raise-able accuracy, and being discussed on around a million different threads every day, Wild Bolt comes in at the top of this list.

Basic Info: The person you mix with might get the pet and you wont and you might get the pet and person you mix doesnt or maybe none of you will. Just keep trying! in bold have been in the live realm.
For lvl 48 Hybrids: ALL SCHOOLS AND LVLS CAN USE THESE PETS! Pets Thank you SinisterCookie for making close up images of some of the pets. The prices depend on the pedigree and range from usually 40,000-50,000. DO NOT USE ANY OF THE HQ IMAGES WITHOUT PERMISSION!
For Promos: A promo pet mixed with ANY pet will make the promo hybrids. 2 of the same promo pet mixed together will make the hybrid for sure!

Day 14: Vault Fail.

So.. I was in a good mood yesterday.. thinking I can solo Edrik's Vault on my balance.. I was like "I can do this!".. I got to the last floor.. and died. -_-. Rawr. So.. that's where Ed is atm.. xD

Seth found some more mega snacks in the bazaar. Yay, I wanna level my satyr to adult.. so I can mix and see what I can get. :).

Blake helped my friend Sabrina Jadeflower get to grand, congrats Melissa! :).

Not much else.. I will be out of town most of today.. so I'll think of some blog for tonight. :D

After recently obtaining my boss banshee, after a few days of no wizard101 and more time with my real life friends, I finally went on the game to discover that my boss banshee comes up with a random bug, I did take a picture but I can't find it anywhere.

I should of been grandmaster by now but my week has busier than ever!
The summer hoildays are ending and it feels like it just started.

As good things come quickly, they can also leave just as quickly.

My quest to Warlord without a loss was a success, and I continued on winning, seeing how far I could go without seeing stars. My run ended at 948 rank, 31-0. A Fire by the name of Jessica Firewalker (very good duelist, btw) pulled first against me, and although I played her a good game, I couldn't overcome the barrier known as going second.

However, I am satisfied. 500 to 948 with an unblemished record is no small feat. I have 924 tickets now, so my new quest will be getting that arena robe!

So this is Duncan, signing off with a bittersweet taste in my mouth...

Star Wars Documentary

Star Wars: The Legacy Revealed is a history channel documentary that compares it to the greek theatre and greek mythology and explains why people love stories like Star Wars or Harry Potter if you find any of this stuff interesting I highly recommend it. It explains why stories like this stand the test of time.

Anybody else see this??? Like it???
