I am hoping to make this website a Informational site on Listings for inside and outside Flea Markets,Vintage Item's, antique shows, Primitive's, Home Decor, and Collectible
Consignment shops in the surrounding area's of 40 highway from Kansas city to blue springs and on.
I will also list Items to buy from the site that can be shipped to anyone's home in the USA and some item's world wide. I took some photos of the booths inside the Fleamart. They have anything and everything! There are over 300 vendors inside the fleamart. Each one has something different. There are New Items old items Handmade stuff, Furniture that is New and used. some even primitive. all The photos I have posted in here can be clicked on for a larger View.

This Booth Has all the Red Hat's you would ever need.

Books of all kinds, many Vendors have a few books for sale, anywhere from .25 cents and up.

Spark's Antique show.

I just want to start by saying, This Spring show was great! I had a very good time and met a lot of interesting people, I kept a Bit of a diary about this trip that I am sharing with everyone.
Now I am not a English Major. far from it. so please keep that in mind that there will be mistakes. and if I have the photos with the wrong names, just send me a note I will be glad to change them.
Billy, Chris and his wife Donna and myself went together this year to sparks. you will see a lot of photos of billy on this blog, Its not that I am infatuated with him, just that when I would pick up my camera, it seems billy had a alarm that would tell him a photo op was coming up.
Morning April 30th": I had most everything loaded in the van from the night before. Just need to put the POP and cloths in, I notice that My right front tire is very low, Figures that would happen since I just took the spare out and left it at the shop, so I could get more stuff in. well I make it to 7-11 fill up with gas and air. it is 7am now.
We planed to meet at Halftime Bar & Grill around 8:30-9am I go ahead and get there early...yes an hour early, I always do that. Halftime used to be Jimmy Dallas Bar, then Star alley 3.30 bar when I worked there as a doorman. The Boss man now is John Heart a Kick boxing champion a few years back.
well Billy and Chris show up, someone for got to tell Chris and Donna we were eating here first. They ate down the street. Now its 9.15 am time to hit the open road with a rag tag team of a truck, Uhaul and something and a Van loaded with all kinds of Antiques and collectibles, held together with duck-tape, bailing wire and some gum I found on the side walk.

WE make a stop at the rest area, lot of looks from people that don't know what to make of this site. I though the sign on the hat would help.
well we make one more stop at the Caseys on hwy 36 in troy, Ks. I think? for ice, beer, gas and "air"

Billy wants to make a bet on who makes the first sale, I know its a bad bet. he's got a truck and everyone can see his stuff for sale. But I take it anyway, and sure enough when we pull into Sparks everyone comes running to his truck.
Great now I am a dollar in the whole already.
Well it is very castover and cloudy. a few sprinkes so have to watch what I put out. I brough a lot of vintage tee-shirts this time. will have to keep them put back for a day or two.
On set-up day its crazy to see all the Vendor's and dealers running to check people stuff when they fist pull in to find that Rare item before anyone else can and put it on there tables to sell. I do the same thing...
But i know only the very good items get put out on Saturday's! However I did find a few items from other out here to add with my stuff and sell this week.

Start of Day 2 May 1st MAY-DAY!
I am up at 6am a few sprinkles early I get the coffee on. a few people are walking around doing some early shopping. at around 11:00am Emily P from Raytown, Mo. stops in. I see she has the Rain boots on, very smart. you just never know when it might start raining.
Here is Emily, from Raytown,Mo. some how I cut the photo of her boots off.
Even with it looking like rain, we are getting a good crowd out here for the opening day. We are hearing stories of people driving through rain and that it is raining all around us, but its nice here.

This looks like they are putting straw down in the wet spots, but the truth is they caught the scarecrow form the wizard of OZ shoplifting and took care of it.
Ray made a announcement that people need to clean up after there dogs do the do. so I walked my dog "Spike the Rose bush killer" Down to the Sparks office to show them I clean up after spike.

Spike hardly eats anything. but leaves a Big mess.
I did for get to bring my snoopy clock for Melisa who bought my woody woodpecker clock last year. so In a about a week I will list it on ebay for her. good luck M.
End day 2 Thursday Mayday.

No one told how bad this looked.
6am Friday I am up. after what I would say was some slow sales the last two days I am ready to make some money now. We had a lot of people come through here but most had the "I will be back" I cant spend B-Backs I need green-backs! Temp really dropped last night. the weatherman is calling for 30% chance of rain. now its been change to 51% at 7am. Billy and i ordered breakfast to be delivered this morning. from firecracker food vendor He said it would be here by 6.30am I am hoping to het some food and photos of other vendors items this morning. Before we get busy. lots of trucks and shoppers are already coming in. well it is 9am I have not made a sale yet or had Breakfast!!! guess its to cold for people to take the hands out of the pockets to buy something
.
Friday Everyone is wearing coats a little chilly. But lot of people here.
I know that cant be true, Billy is selling ice to a Eskimo family that came down here.
Hey is 9:15 Made my first sale a mickey mouse hat for 3 bucks.
He got the Hat for 3 bucks.
Ok I will do Saturdays blog later. I am a bit tired. Thank you for view this I hope you enjoyed it.

Well I just got my hand slaped. I copyed a post that I had on a blog at "myspace/ the same one I have onTAGWORLD, just like the one i have with Blogger Talking about my store I have built. and having a link to it on my blog. Well Thats a NO NO On E-bay. Silly me, thought it was my blog. Sparks flea Market.

Well I made it back from Sparks flea market. We got there Wednesday about 9:30 am and set up all the stuff. Dad sold a little bit.

I sold nothing!!! Blaa. Looks like it could rain. It rained on are way up there, but was only cast- over there.
Thursday, still looks like rain. Getting a few sprinkles now and then. Everyone seems to be crowded around the radio listing to the weather Like they were listing to game 7 of the world series. Even thought this is the official start day, not much of a crowd. Did sell my first item. A old lantern for 10 dollars!! At about 8:00am Whoopee.. Dad says to me. "see there you go, Making money now" humm $40.00 gas $ 85.00 for the spot here. $4.50 for eggs and coffee, last night I ate a hamburger and fries $6.00. I am not even going to add the cig's I have smoked. Now I am only $125.50 in the hole .LOL. Well a few Hours later I have sold more stuff, mostly to the other dealers out here. Still not a lot of reg shoppers yet… But now I am getting the itch to see what the other sellers have for sale. Dad has been twice, and keeps bring bad a sack each time with goodies in it. Now He can watch the stuff and I can go!! After putting on my bright orange furry I mean business hat.

I am off. Up the isle's down the isle's… a few. "Hey Nice Hat" comments. Still not much I like. More Antique's than the collectibles I purer. Well found two old blue baby, glass milk bottles.
Talk to a few sellers. Told them I had the web-site thing going. Got some cards will link there site to mine. Well the one's I want too. A few more things then back to the booth see if dad sold anything for me….nope but he sold a lot. Man guess I better stick around here more. Well here is a list of what I sold Mr. peanut jar,

Friday:
5:00am I am up…no one else is. Smells like rain. We got some during the night. Dad get up in about 1 hour. Says look like we got a heavy due, I said no we got rain last night.
See I sleep under the tarps outside .with a ball bat, golf club a 4 D cell flash light.. anyone thinking of helping them self's to my stuff during the night is in for a surprise!! Dad sleeps in the van.
We pull the tarps off. Get some bisque and gravy and some coffee. Time to make the BIG BUCKS.
A few more people today guess they took Friday off from work. Seem like the wind is picking up…..
OH YEAH here is the wind!!! Got about a 2 sec warning. Glass breaking from the booth two rolls behind us.

The people at are booth herd it too. We all got a sick feeling in the pit of the stomach. Then stuff starts flying off our tables, we try to grab the breakable and expense item's… that really confuses me, so I just grab the breakable items. A customer went after my Hat. Wind dies down a bit, more like quick burst now and then. Figure this is a good time to announce that EVERYTHING THAT BROKE!!! Is now Half OFF!!! I am sure the people two rolls behind me didn't care to hear that. (smile). a Ok now the list that was sold. I have not included Dads stuff. I will leave that for his blog. O.k. Emery boards, yes more of them!!4 for a dollar is cheap!!.

Now people are slacking up. I take a break, only to find out that even though it was mostly cloudy. I got SUNBURNED! On my neck and the back of my legs. Luckily I remember there was someone selling Avon stuff. Now to find her!!
Wow it really was windy. Dorothy and the tin man blew in to the Flea Market

Ahh found her. Lets see sun block 30 skin so soft. $ 2.00 cool I will take it, but wait I am sun burned now! Oh here some stuff called after sun with alvira, $4.00 so If I would have put the block on first I would have saved 4.00.
Go's on my list. Well time to close up shop. Not going to sleep well tonight. But first. I gota have some of them cheesy fries.
Saturday:
Up at 2.00am, back to sleep, up at 3.30am. Put more after sun lotion on. Back to sleep. Up at 4.45am oh well might as well stay up. Spent two hours just chilling. Notice something seems different today. The other sellers are up and moving more lively. There is something in the air. I can feel it. Its…ITS SATURDAY!!!
The Big Day!! The day to make it or break it. This is the day everyone knows the Biggest Crowds come. Most of the locals, and the out of town Bargain Hunters. Have to get a stick to beat them off, they say!!
The sun is going to be out the weather will be nice. Dogs and cats loving each other…
Look the cars are coming in Now!! I swear people are throwing money out of they're cars as they drive by!!
No wait that's trash… someone get me a rock!
Announcements over the speakers," People do not park your cars on the highway" "you will get a ticket"
What's he saying, let them park were they want. They got Money!
Well the Day is going good. Lots of fun talking with people. Thought one guy and his grandson about the 1950's Jefferson mystery clock. 24 ct gold plated and how the hands really move. it's a mystery!! Well not now to them. Ok Saturday sale items….man there is a lot. If you really want to see it let me know.
Well the day is over. Can't complain. Weather man says a bad storm is coming in. I tell dad, let load up and head home. A lot of sellers are leaving. We can go to. Nope Dad says Sunday is a good sale day too. We should stay. Just Tarp everything down good and it will clear in the morning.
