COLLAPSE is very simple, and can practically be played by tapping madly on the screen until you clear everything. However, it also has some more challenging gameplay modes like the Strategy modes, and it presents new Expert goals for each level, giving you unique targets to shoot for when playing. The most important thing about the game is that it’s actually fun to play. Once you get about thirty minutes into the game, you are really drawn into it thanks to the always changing gameplay style. There are boss levels, puzzle levels, double sided levels, and more. There are even upgrades you can buy using points earned from playing the game. It’s an extremely fun and easy to play puzzle game.

The “bullet hell”-type game BulletAsylum is now in Marketplace.

This week’s Xbox Live video game promises  over-the-top action, melding classic gameplay with next generation visuals and mechanics, vibrant graphics, and an all-you-can-shoot buffet of alien hordes to destroy.

The game features:

There have been recent indications that the Lumia 800 is selling very well in Finland also.

Nokia has committed to creating a viable 3rd mobile ecosystem as an alternative to iPhone and Android and has already rapidly dominated the Windows Phone ecosystem, taking nearly 50% of the Windows Phone 7 market.

Adopting Windows Phone has allowed Nokia to have its phones adopted by two US carriers, something it has not managed for a while with its Symbian products.

At Microsoft Techdays in France xBrainSoft will be showing off their new Siri competitor, Angie.

The app uses natural language input and can give you access to TV programs, read your favourite news, access information related to your social networks (birthday, etc.), translate your words into a foreign language, wake you up in the morning, find a fuel pump, and much more.

xBrainsoft distributes a development kit which allows any developer to create skills for Angie or create their own Personal Assistant.

There is something to be said for having a consistent design language, and this concept Windows 8 Nokia tablet certainly takes its cues very well from the much lauded Nokia Lumia 800 design.

The Nokia Lumia 800 is selling very well in Finland at the moment, and an even cheaper option is sure to boost sales even more.

At present Esphoneblog does not know which of the 3 main carriers will be carrying the device, but suspects they will all launch simultaneously.

Its seems the Nokia Lumia 710 is a pretty good mover, as it is completely sold out on Orange UK.  The cyan Nokia Lumia 800 is similarly affected, though the black version is still available.

Interestingly the Nokia Lumia 800 on Orange UK does not have a great overall review score, achieving only 7.9/10, with the handset mainly let down by poor battery life.  Hopefully the various firmware updates Nokia has already released to address the issue will go some way to repair this issue.

Nokia has announced that it will be making 4000 job cuts at its Finnish, Hungarian, Mexican and Salo plants as it moves more manufacturing to Asia.

Nokia has said it wants to be closer to their suppliers to speed the time it takes to get new products to market.

The plans will however not be closed, and customization work will continue there.

“With the planned changes, our factories at Komarom, Reynosa and Salo will continue to play an important role serving our smartphone customers,” Nokia executive vice president Niklas Savander said in a statement. “They give us a unique ability to both provide customization and be more responsive to customer needs,”

Job cuts will take place over the course of the year.
