WVCC Submission on the ACT Budget 2013-14

The Woden Valley Community Council has made a submission proposing to the ACT Government that funding be provided to particular initiatives for the 2013-14 financial year. The initiatives include a community centre; Phillip pool upgrade, wetland on Yarralumla Creek and enhanced provision for cycling and walking.

Woden 9 - 2 DAs withdrawn

LDA drops Woden 9 (for now) but will proceed with its application for a structured car park near the Tradies Club. Dr Jenny Stewart, Chair of WVCC, has called for a coherent planning approach to the development of the Woden Town Centre.

Mawson Stormwater Project Consultation Report released

The Mawson Stormwater Project report has been published. The report includes WVCC’s submission and details of feedback forms submitted. It concludes that: Based on public support the project should proceed; and, the community welcomes the idea of further wetlands and flood management in the area.
