Over and Over they go you will see that they have sex (including same sex relations), take drugs, kill people, steal, lie, cheat and show everyone how to be obnoxious, rude and downright careless for each other and wait for it they either get a stern talking to after saying sorry and do it all over again and they all this aired at 7PM every Monday to Friday….. No wonder our teenagers are having more sex and drugs and pretending to be bi-sexual on MySpace with their friends when they are only 13 years old. Sure some guys go to jail and some sort of moral story is told. But it's a total disgrace when 50% of the audience is less than 16 years of age without any parental supervision. If we just talk about the show you will see clearly that they are reading an auto-cue from the side and while some try to act others are just plain wooden at best. We had a crash scene that a person is blinded…. Due to his past terrors … sorry guys but this has been done on so many shows that it's not funny and you know what, I give it a month before he gains his sight again just like Desperate housewives. I can understand older people wanting to watch this soap and I can understand they can get over the ridiculous plots that make everyone sleep with everyone just like "the days of our lives" but I cannot understand how the TV Commission allows this to be on the time slot in Australia when it influence so many of today's youth. Ask yourself this question, how many other countries would allow this show in free to air TV before 8:30pm? Home and Away is the only soap I like. It's miles better than our own ones which are just full of people arguing and misery piled on misery. Bad things happen in Summer Bay but it's so sunny and cheerful nobody really cares. I'm glad to see Channel 5 are making it available online, though it's nowhere near as good as it used to be. The characters can't match the classic early ones like Bobby with lines like "rack off flathead!" but it's still good. I can understand people not liking this much, the stories aren't great and the acting is beyond wooden but it's a nice bit of escapism and a beautiful place to visit for 25 minutes. It's not a masterpiece of television but it keeps a flaming galah like me happy. The earlier episodes of "Home and Away" seem a lot fresher (probably because all of the storylines had only been recycled a few times, rather than fifty or so which is no doubt the case by now), and also give the viewer a chance to laugh at all of the horrible late '80s fads and fashions depicted in them (I remember one earlier episode, for example, which had Carly wearing a T-shirt with the message "Twenty Decades Old" on it; God, that is sooooooooooooo 1988!). The characters also seem a lot more interesting A friend of mine once said that the series really suffered when that lovable pair of dimwits Lance and Martin left it; he may well have been right. Although I have attempted to watch the newer episodes of "Home and Away" on various occasions, I came to the sad conclusion that I was simply killing too many brain cells each time I did this, so have since given up on them. From what I have heard from other people who still watch the current episodes, I have gathered that these episodes have two glaring faults ie: 1) the producers are more concerned with ISSUES these days than simply telling a story. 2) the show is now filled with annoying fifteen year-olds who are always wanting to hop into bed with each other ie it's trying to become the Australian version of "Dawson's Creek" (another lame show). Lets start off with the line "Im Sorry", yes, this is the most overused line in the whole show. People get thick with each other, say I'm sorry,everything is hunky dory again, and then it all starts again,over,and over,and over,and over again. Second off, the story lines are mind boggling, absolutely, atrocious. Each character in the whole show has to be the most unluckiest person in the world,being cheated on, being accused of murder, get pregnant by someone who eventually leaves town, and then finally death, or just leaves anyway because his/her business contract has expired after 2 years. 1 of these things has happened to at least all the character on the show. And the drinking problem storyline is still there, yup, after 22 years,its still there. And you know what makes me really sick is that each character has to stick their nose in to other peoples business, and the other person gladly tells them everything thats happening in their life, while the other person says "well if there's anything i can do,let me know" if it was me,id tell them to mind their own go damn business. Each person is one and the same. It is so unreal that this programme gets funding. This is the perfect example of bad television, it is juvenile, the female adults are either pure soccer mom stereotypes, or just act like teenagers themselves. Its a disgrace.

Along with other protesters (including "Heroes" (2006/II) star Hayden Panettiere), she paddled out on surfboards to a pod of dolphins off the coast of Japan to protest the killing of dolphins on Thursday 1st of November 2007. She first met Mr. Allen five years ago, while in New York on other business. She was invited to his office to discuss a script whose title she can't recall. What she does remember is that the meeting lasted about three minutes. "I had just enough time to ask him if he had ever made a soundtrack to 'Sleeper,' " she says, referring to Mr. Allen's 1973 futuristic comedy. "Which would appear to have been a kiss-up move, but I promise you it wasn't. The music in 'Sleeper' is brilliant. It's his clarinet." Russell's offbeat 1996 comedy, "Flirting With Disaster," in which she played a wan and alluring adoption agency caseworker traipsing along with Ben Stiller and family in search of his character's birth parents. While it was this role, she says, that has made the most difference to her career, it was a "super-painful character." "Everybody woke up and said, 'Who's this?' " Mr. Russell recalls. "All her kinetic energy was there to see. But she didn't want to audition for it because it was too similar to what she was going through in her own life then." (She was in the midst of a divorce, as was the character.) "She was wonderful in that," says Mr. Allen, "and she was perfect for this role, a kind of wise-cracking ex-wife but intelligent enough to be working high up at a studio." EVEN in Hollywood, where mendacity springs eternal, a talent for lying is not something usually found on one's résumé. But Téa Leoni says that lying in one form or another has been responsible for all she has accomplished as an actress and has elevated her now to the enviable position of starring with Woody Allen in his latest comedy, "Hollywood Ending." "I was one of the most brilliant liars as a child," Ms. Leoni says, remembering a privileged youth spent on Park Avenue in New York that led indirectly to a life in show business. "They were seamless, seamless lies. Not harmful but colorful. And I continued to lie all through high school and really polished that craft. And then a healthy dose of psychotherapy told me why I was doing it but couldn't tell me what to do with this talent." "There are several things that happen to you on your way through this business that are like little notches on your bedpost," Ms. Leoni, 36, says over lunch at a small Italian restaurant in Santa Monica. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Paranormal Activity star Katie Featherston has signed on for a two episode arc on ABC's The River. No mention on what role the actress would be playing on the mysterious supernatural series, which will hit the airwaves sometime midseason. Scheduled to air eight episodes this season, The River tells the story of an explorer/TV host that disappears in the Amazon and the crew that's sent to try and find him after his emergency beacon goes off. Featherston burst onto the scene in 2007's Paranormal Activity, a Blair Witch-ian home video horror movie that showcased a couple dealing with strange happenings in their house. Crouching over his body, she sniffs Micah (who has evidently been murdered) and then slowly looks up at the camera with a sly smile. As she lunges toward the camera, her face takes on a demonic appearance just as the scene cuts to black. An epilogue text states that Micah's body was discovered by the police on October 11, 2006, and that Katie's whereabouts remain unknown. The second alternate ending was shown at only one public viewing and was later offered as an alternate ending on the DVD and Blu-ray releases of the film. In this ending, Katie gets out of bed and stands staring at Micah, as she did in the original ending, except she does not move to Micah's side of the bed. About three hours pass, then she finally goes downstairs. She lets out a blood-curdling scream, which wakes Micah up and he runs downstairs. Featherston was born in Texas. She attended James Bowie High School in Arlington, Texas and participated in numerous drama activities. She attended college at the Southern Methodist University where she studied acting. She graduated with a bachelor's degree of fine arts in 2005 and afterwards moved to Los Angeles. She portrayed Katie in the film Paranormal Activity, which was made in 2007 but released theatrically in the United States in 2009, and played the same role in the film's sequels. Paranormal Activity is a 2007 American supernatural horror film written and directed by Oren Peli. The film centers on a young couple, Katie and Micah, who are haunted by a supernatural presence in their home. It is presented in the style of "found footage," from a camera set up by the couple in an attempt to photograph what is haunting them. Micah begins to taunt the demon and the phenomena worsens; during night 13, they are awoken by an otherworldly screech and a loud thud. They go downstairs to investigate and find the chandelier moving by itself. On night 15, Katie awakens and spends several hours standing by the bed staring at Micah while he sleeps, before going outside to sit on the backyard swing. Micah awakens and tries to convince her to come inside but she refuses, her voice dreamlike and detached. When Micah goes inside to get her a blanket, he finds the TV turned on in the bedroom, and is then startled by Katie, who followed him inside but says that he woke her up. On night 17, Micah sprinkles talcum powder in the hallway and when the couple is awoken by noises, they find non-human footprints leading to the bedroom from the attic. In the attic, Micah finds a burnt photograph of a young Katie, which was previously thought to have been destroyed in an unexplained house fire. The next night, a light turns on and off and the bedroom door slams shut. Loud banging is heard, as something is apparently trying to get in. They discover that the glass over a photo of them has been smashed, with Micah's image scratched. Dr. Averies is abroad when Micah finally agrees to invite him, so Dr. Fredrichs comes instead. Upon his arrival, Dr. Fredrichs immediately has a sense of dread. He apologetically leaves despite their pleas for his help, stating that his presence is only making the demon angry. On night 19, a shadow moves across the bedroom door. The paranormal activity starts to become physical; Katie is pulled out of the bedroom by an invisible force during night 20. Stressed and exhausted, the couple decide to go to a hotel. Micah finds Katie gripping a cross so tightly that it bloodies her palm. Micah, angry at a situation he cannot control, burns the cross and the picture found in the attic. Just as he is set to leave, a suddenly apathetic, languid Katie insists that they will be okay now, her voice flat.
