<p>It&#8217;s been such a busy time for me over the past month or so &#8211; as well as reaching that stage of pregnancy in which I&#8217;m starting to physically struggle, my internal energy and drive has gone charging through the roof. I literally can&#8217;t seem to slow the ideas, and I&#8217;ve been a very busy girl; even more so than usual.</p>
<p>Something that&#8217;s huge for me is I am finally &#8216;on&#8217; with doing what I&#8217;ve always seen as my life&#8217;s big work &#8211; writing and publishing books.</p>
<p>So far I&#8217;ve published 4 of my books on Amazon (since Jan) and all have gone to best-seller status within as little as a few days! <p>Not enough.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s exhausting, and it&#8217;s also ridiculous.</p>
<p>Do you truly believe that having the body you want goes hand in hand with automatic happiness, confidence, inner peace, success?</p>
<p>Of course not. Only a crazy person would believe such a thing.</p>
<p>Let alone live &#8211; or not truly live, as the case may be &#8211; their entire freaking life based on such misguided beliefs.</p>
<p>The key to your success and happiness is not to be perfect first. It&#8217;s to choose to be happy, successful, content, at peace, in alignment and living on purpose first.</p>

<p>If you&#8217;ve ever felt that way then I can definitely relate. Personally my stomach has always been the hardest area for me to keep in shape. I&#8217;m tall with long legs so even when I&#8217;ve been heavier I still carry my lower body okay &#8230; but my belly. Ugh. It&#8217;s been a love hate relationship much of the time. I love it when it does what I want it to, and I hate it when it doesn&#8217;t. Smart of me, huh?</p>
<p>Anyway, I could definitely write a post on &#8217;10 ways&#8217; or even &#8217;20 ways&#8217; to burn belly fat once and for all, but for today I decided to keep it real simple. Sometimes 10 things is just too darn much and all you really want to know is what&#8217;s the <em>most</em> important thing to do. Right now. Today.*</p>
<p>Here it is &#8211; except because I just couldn&#8217;t bring myself to narrow it down to 1 item it&#8217;s kind of in 2 parts.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #000000;">IMPORTANT! Make sure you really read point #2 properly (<em>this</em> is the most important part!) as many girls who eat clean don&#8217;t get results precisely because they don&#8217;t do this. Don&#8217;t be one of them!</span></strong></p>
<h1 style="text-align: center;"><strong>How to finally lose belly fat &#8211; stat</strong></h1>
<h2><strong>1. You are what you eat (part 1)</strong>.</h2>
<p>Of course good nutrition is key. That&#8217;s a given. And possibly you <em>do</em> eat really clean, but you still can&#8217;t get rid of that last bit of belly fat.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s the thing.</p>
<p>I have found that most people lose body fat and keep it by focusing on good quality proteins and fats as key macronutrients, with most of their carbs added in from fresh (non-starch) seasonal vegetables and the occasional fruit. I&#8217;m fine with a bit of quality chocolate or wine now and then and I definitely encourage regular treat meals. Other things I&#8217;d include in good nutrition are adequate water, and at least some basic supplements like magnesium, a good multi, and so on. <p>But. In fact make that BUT. Here is why you might not get rid of your stubborn stomach fat despite doing all of that religiously:<strong></strong></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><strong>a. Your treat meal consists of 3 chocolate almonds and some sweet potato.</strong> Don&#8217;t be scared to have a blowout meal now and then! If you are eating super clean and low carb every day you will start to slow <em>down</em> your metabolism over time. You need to give it a shock, or kick-start, with a hefty serve of carbs at least once a week. My favourite treat meal is gluten-free french toast with maple syrup and fried banana. I would have at least 4 slices, and then often 2 more with nutella on them. It&#8217;s a treat meal for heavens sakes. Do it properly if your daily eating habits are really that clean.</p>

<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><strong>b. You&#8217;re too caught up in dogma.</strong> Forget everything I just said about good nutrition for a moment. Think about what you&#8217;re planning to eat for your next meal. How enticing is it to you, on a scale of 1-10? Unless you&#8217;re in the clutches of a full-blown sugar or junk food addiction then healthy food should be really enticing to you. If you feel uninspired by your food, or that it&#8217;s bland, or that it&#8217;s not digesting well &#8211; change it. My only really unshakeable rule for nutrition is to eat real food; i.e. not processed and full of chemicals or trans fats. <em><strong>Everything</strong></em> else should be tested. By you.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><strong>c. You need a break. </strong>Last week I ate like a vegetarian all day up until dinner. Lots of vegetables, some fruit, and a LOT of fat. Then normal dinner. Why? I could tell I was starting to not digest my protein very well. For several weeks I&#8217;d been truly <em>hating</em> eggs and red meat. Weird? Or is it my body telling me I&#8217;m too mired in my routine? I was craving vegetables like there was no tomorrow. Now I did supplement during my vegetarian meals with BCAAs and glutamine, so I still had adequate protein albeit a lot less than normal. The result? When I did eat my dinner protein I could &#8216;feel&#8217; my metabolism smashing it instantly. <span style="text-decoration: underline;">This is how we should feel with all our meals.</span> I also dropped 2kg of fat (and no muscle) and slept deeper.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Would I keep going with this forever? No! It&#8217;s not the magic answer! Nothing is &#8211; the point is that we need variety.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">As soon as you get caught up in &#8216;having&#8217; to do anything nutritionally or &#8216;not being allowed&#8217; to eat something, you are doomed to at some point stagnate.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Learn to listen to your body and think about what would truly make you feel good inside and out. This takes some experience and practice, and I don&#8217;t think it works until you&#8217;ve been eating clean for at least a year. Before the 12 month mark I would definitely focus on structure &#8211; i.e. 6 small protein-based meals per day. After that &#8211; to an extent, you make the rules. Just be honest about what&#8217;s working and not working.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">The other thing I love about a more flexible approach is that you avoid becoming obsessive over &#8216;having to&#8217; eat a certain way. For me, I&#8217;ve always been in the best shape and stayed that way when I go with the flow and stop over-thinking everything I&#8217;m going to eat.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><strong>d. You just need more carbs. </strong>Maybe you just need to start including healthy starchy carbs into your diet. Maybe some quinoa porridge for breaky wouldn&#8217;t be the end of the world! (I&#8217;d still have protein with it hehe). Or some starch after training; perhaps even with dinner God forbid. Low carb works for a lot of people, but a lot is not everyone. And again &#8211; your dietary needs change over time. You need to learn to go with the flow. I talk about this (how to know if you need more carbs) in more detail in my <strong><em><a href="http://womanincredible.com/its-here-the-woman-incredible-look-great-naked-eating-plan/" target="_blank">Eat Clean Get Lean Plan</a></em>.<br />
</strong></p>
<h2><strong>2. You are what you eat (part 2). </strong></h2>
<p>Okay this one is going to be a lot shorter, but it is actually <em>more</em> important than obsessively worrying about what you should or could be eating. In fact, NOT doing what I&#8217;m about to tell you is one of the top reasons that women aren&#8217;t able to get rid of the last layer or two of fat, especially on the stomach.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s about what you feed your &#8216;whole&#8217; you. You need to detox and nourish each and every one of your bodies daily if you really want to succeed physically, or indeed succeed in any area. Your four bodies are:</p>
<ul>
<li><span style="color: #808080;">The physical you</span></li>
<li><span style="color: #808080;">The emotional you</span></li>
<li><span style="color: #808080;">The mental you</span></li>
<li><span style="color: #808080;">The spiritual you</span></li>
</ul>
<p>Think about this.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re feeding your mind with junk food (junk TV, the news, useless reading), isn&#8217;t that going to have a carry-on effect on every part of you? It is. You won&#8217;t feel passionate or on purpose, which will result in you feeling more stressed and anxious. Two emotions that elevate cortisol, which increases stomach fat. Furthermore, a mental junk food diet often goes hand in hand with wanting to <em>eat</em> junk food.</p>
<p>How about the way you talk to yourself? Do you build yourself up, or tear yourself down? Whatever you believe about yourself to be true, will be true. So if you&#8217;re feeding your emotions with negativity and self-doubt you will <em>not</em> get the physical results you long for.</p>
<p>And then there&#8217;s spirituality. This doesn&#8217;t have to mean being religious. It could just mean acknowledging that there is more to life than just you and your problems. How often do you take time out to be still and just listen? To meditate or pray?</p>
<p>The &#8216;you&#8217; you see in the mirror is just the reflection of the real you. We all know that it&#8217;s what&#8217;s inside that counts. If you want the outside to look and feel fabulous, you have to feed <em>every part of the inside </em>with good stuff. Please don&#8217;t imagine <span style="text-decoration: underline;">for a second</span> that properly nourishing only the physical you will get you the results you want. The fittest, healthiest and happiest people &#8211; the ones you might look at and want to emulate &#8211; take care of all of this stuff. They know that each of their four bodies affects the others. No, they don&#8217;t have it all together all the time. Yes, they still slip up in each area or skip days.</p>
<p>But they&#8217;re thinking about it; often without even realising it.</p>
<p>You can think about this stuff a lot, get very caught up in it even. I tend to do that <img src='http://www.katloterzo.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<p>But to go back to the original intent of this post, which was to keep it simple (!), here&#8217;s the cheat notes summary of the top two ways to lose belly fat:</p>

<li><strong>You are what you eat (part 1)</strong>: eat clean, minimally processed food. High protein and fat works often, but not always. Either way, break your normal routine now and then. Do something completely different. Learn to listen to your body. And don&#8217;t forget to have the occasional blowout!</li>
</ul>

<li><strong>You are what you eat (part 2):</strong> you won&#8217;t get results if you&#8217;re feeding your mind, emotions and spirit junk. Or if you&#8217;re starving them! Failing to take care of the &#8216;whole&#8217; you will result in feelings like dissatisfaction, lack of purpose, fear, anxiety, overwhelm. All of these are not only no fun to live with, but they cause a stress response! Primarily of cortisol, which is the belly fat storing hormone. Take care of every part of you as if it were a small child whom you love deeply. Learn to love and accept and <em>nourish</em> yourself from the inside out, and things you previously found impossible to achieve will start to come to you almost magically.</li>
</ul>

<p>You see the truth is that when you finally get &#8216;there&#8217; with your body, you realise your entire life has already begun to change. And that it&#8217;s just the beginning.</p>
<p>I see it all of the time with the <a href="http://www.lookgreatnakedbootcamp.com" target="_blank">women I work with</a>.</p>
<p>As the final external layer sheds, all of a sudden layer upon layer of inner stuff starts to be revealed. Starts pouring out. Emotions are purged. And the whisper &#8211; even the faintest whisper &#8211; of a chance at living that one-day dream life suddenly makes itself heard.</p>
<h2><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><strong>But here&#8217;s where most women get it oh-so-very-wrong.</strong> </span></h2>
<p>I&#8217;ll go so far as to say even most coaches get it wrong. And I&#8217;ll go a little further and admit that I too have been one such coach in the past, on a personal level as well as a professional one.</p>
<p>What most women do, when they want to change their body, is that they push.</p>
<p>Without meaning to, they find themselves clawing and fighting desperately to get the body they want.</p>
<p>Believing that &#8216;it has to be done this way&#8217;, that if they don&#8217;t eat PERFECTLY or hit that magic number on the treadmill timer then they can&#8217;t succeed.</p>
<p><strong><em>Separating dream life creation from dream body creation. Saying to themselves that they&#8217;re not allowed to do this, wear that, act like she does, be &#8216;that girl&#8217; until they have exactly that body. All of the time. 100% of the time.</em></strong></p>
<p>Have you ever done this to yourself? Have you every told yourself -</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">That you aren&#8217;t allowed to buy new clothes yet &#8230;</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">That you don&#8217;t deserve nice things &#8230;</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">That they wouldn&#8217;t give that role to someone like you &#8230;</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">That he or she wouldn&#8217;t be interested in you &#8230;</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">That you couldn&#8217;t be as successful as <em>she</em> is because you&#8217;re not that kind of girl &#8230;</p>
<p><strong>Have you ever told yourself you&#8217;re not good enough to live that kind of life, that a life like that is the stuff of fantasies or simply not for you?</strong></p>
<p>Have you?</p>

<p>If you&#8217;ve ever done or said any of this stuff, even just in your own head, I gotta tell you -</p>
<p>You&#8217;re not alone.</p>
<p>And I&#8217;ve been there too.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve worn the same worn out gym clothes for years, always with a vague idea in the back of my mind that once I get &#8216;there&#8217; I will buy gorgeous, fitted, bright, shiny stuff. And I don&#8217;t just mean I&#8217;ve worn <em>old</em> stuff but I&#8217;ve actually worn torn and stained stuff.</p>
<p>A lot.</p>
<p>And not just in the gym. In &#8216;real life&#8217; life I went 6 years without buying a new pair of jeans. About 10 without buying a new dress. Telling myself the old ones were fine. Which they were.</p>
<p>But they weren&#8217;t amazing either.</p>
<p>And they certainly weren&#8217;t something I&#8217;d expect someone gorgeous, stunning, vibrant, successful to wear.</p>
<p>But sure, they were okay because it was &#8216;only for me&#8217;.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve resisted chasing a few major personal bucket list items because I wasn&#8217;t ready. Like doing a sexy bikini/fitness model style photo shoot. I put that off for 10 years, up until recently*</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve put off following through on writing a &#8216;real&#8217; book and finalising the publishing of it, even though. I&#8217;ve told myself for years I need to be, I don&#8217;t know, just &#8211; better. More successful. More polished, put together. Who am I to think I can write a book?</p>
<p>There&#8217;s more as well, but I think you get the idea.</p>
<p><strong>I don&#8217;t know about you (well, I&#8217;ve got a good idea to be honest as I think you and I think a lot alike) but for me there&#8217;s been a common thread between failing to chase some of my biggest life dreams and not yet having the body I want.</strong></p>
<p>You see, in many ways, I&#8217;ve kind of had my life on hold until I get there.</p>
<p>And I know that you know where I mean when I say *there*.</p>
<p>There is that magical place. The mirage you so often see peeking at you from over the horizon. It&#8217;s the place where you love your body, where you feel powerful and in control and on. Where you are long and lean and lithe, where you naturally choose food to nourish your body and your mind, where you effortlessly laugh off the idea of even a few rows of chocolate let alone an entire binge.</p>

<p>Where everybody notices how stunning you are.</p>
<p>Where you can wear whatever you want.</p>
<p>Do whatever you choose.</p>
<p>Be whomever you like.</p>
<h2><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><strong>Do you know that place?</strong></span></h2>
<p>Have you been there yet?</p>
<p>Or is it still a dream? One that for some reason forces you to put all your other dreams on hold until you make it your reality?</p>
<h1><span style="color: #b603fb;"><strong>Truth Time: You Will Never Get The Body You Want This Way</strong></span></h1>
<p>I can look back over the past 10 years and remember times when I was a good few kgs heavier than I am now, but also when I was as much as 8 kgs lighter than I am now. Yes, even post photo-shoot, when I&#8217;m in the best shape I&#8217;ve been all year.</p>
<p>But you know what?</p>
<p>At 27, when I was about as tiny as I think my body is capable of ever going, when I had barely a pinch of fat to be found anywhere, I was still not content.</p>
<p>I saw a stomach that could have been tighter still, legs that needed even more of a gap between them when I stood up straight. A butt that could have been perkier, rounder, smaller.</p>
<p>A face that could have been more relaxed if I was willing to just cut myself some slack.</p>
<p>And a mind that was nowhere near yet ready to realise that the ultimate self-love happens simply when you choose it, not when you&#8217;ve earned it.</p>
<h2 style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="color: #ff00ff;">Because the truth, beautiful lady, is that you&#8217;ve earned it simply by being you.</span></strong></h2>
<h2 style="text-align: center;"><strong><span style="color: #ff00ff;">But the truth that perhaps would be easier not to hear is that you will never ever ever achieve the body goal you so crave if you continue to make it a destination not a journey.</span></strong></h2>
<p>And the even bigger truth &#8211; the one that will scare many people into not wanting to fully read or at least not then think about what I have to say today &#8211; is that you can live an incredible, amazing, <em>fantastical</em> life regardless of what you look like or what you think other people see you as.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re waiting to earn your stripes and start creating your dream life by being physically good enough you&#8217;re going to be waiting a helluva long time.</p>
<p>But here&#8217;s the real secret.</p>
<p>The women who do achieve that incredible transformation, who finally get *there*, they are the ones who get out there and start making the rest of their life happen. In really big and really exciting and really scary-but-yet-awesome way.</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span style="color: #000000;"><em>They quit their jobs.</em></span></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span style="color: #000000;"><em>Start their own business.</em></span></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span style="color: #000000;"><em>Quit their business, even, and start new ones.</em></span></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span style="color: #000000;"><em>They go on crazy adventures. Pack up their stuff and do that one day travel.</em></span></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span style="color: #000000;"><em>Change their friendships, their relationships, the people who they hang around and who influence them.</em></span></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><span style="color: #000000;"><em>They even do sexy photoshoots before they feel ready <img src='http://www.katloterzo.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </em></span></p>
<p>And I know I already said here&#8217;s the real secret, but here&#8217;s the <em>real</em> real secret about these women.</p>

<p><strong><em>They are actually not yet *there* or at least not where they once thought *there* would be.</em></strong></p>
<p><em></em>Because if by *there* you mean perfect, then no &#8211; they&#8217;re not there.</p>

<p>Before you know it, it&#8217;s going to be no longer &#8216;almost the middle of the year&#8217;, but &#8216;almost the end of the year&#8217;. You know that thing we all say each year about how fast time goes? It&#8217;s already happening for this one, isn&#8217;t it?</p>
<h3><span style="color: #ff00ff;"><strong>And I know you know what that means. </strong></span></h3>
<p>It means you need to take action stat! <strong>Not because you &#8216;must&#8217; stay in a certain shape or even get there at all, but because I know you want to feel great about yourself. In control. Happy. And confident, sexy and free.  </strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>All that good stuff.</p>
<p>And if you&#8217;re honest about the fact that wanting to lose weight and feel better about how you look matters to you, then it means not having yet another year pass by in which you don&#8217;t meet your body goals.</p>
<p>And yes, I know I could be telling you that you are a beautiful woman just as you are and that there are more important things to think about and that maybe you&#8217;re being too hard on yourself or too obsessive or that you just need to let go a little.(You can take that as being told, because I do believe all of that is likely very true. Except the beautiful part which is definitely true, just because you&#8217;re you <img src='http://www.katloterzo.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> )</p>
<p>But just for a moment let&#8217;s pretend we don&#8217;t <em>only</em> care about the &#8216;what&#8217;s inside that counts&#8217; stuff and put aside the corniness and platitudes. Say after me &#8211; <span style="color: #ff00ff;"><strong><em>&#8220;I just wanna look hot and feel confident and sexy for the rest of 2013!&#8221;</em></strong></span> (You can say it regardless of where you live in the world and regardless of whether you will be donning a bikini in the first few months of the new year!) And you know what? It&#8217;s okay.  I won&#8217;t tell anyone you&#8217;re so horribly vain.  You know what else? Me too.</p>

Even though I most definitely was not out of shape in the first pics I was not feeling comfortable about myself, nor proud of how I was treating my body. My training, nutrition, and my mindset weren&#8217;t at the level I knew they could be and the <strong>biggest</strong> driving factor for me in embarking on my photo-shoot journey was to feel proud about myself.</p>
<p>I know that you too have a deep internal driver for wanting to change your body. Possibly you&#8217;re not sure what that is, but it sure goes beyond just wanting to look good. All that being said, the truth is that vanity doesn&#8217;t make either of us a bad person! It makes you an <em>honest</em>person who cares about how she treats her body and who knows that the outer reflects the inner health, vitality and balance.</p>
<p>So.</p>
<p>What I&#8217;m thinking, is you need a bit of an action plan, yes?</p>
<h2><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Your &#8216;rest of 2013&#8242; Bikini Body Shape-Up Plan: In 4 Simple Steps!</strong></span></h2>
<p>I used to be one of those women who would watch the date of my upcoming holidays or special events drawing nearer with a mounting dread. Each day I&#8217;d tell myself that this was the day I&#8217;d get my sh&amp;t together. Each evening I&#8217;d tell myself that tomorrow was <em>definitely</em> the day.</p>
<p>My nutrition and training habits would veer from good to great to panicked to I&#8217;m not really sure the heck what I should be doing anyway so why even bother. To say it was hard to stay on track and actually feel excited about getting in shape is an understatement. My whole approach to getting the body I wanted was about fear, panic, overwhelm, uncertainty and self-doubt.</p>
<p>Now, I can honestly say that I am in a shape I am so damn proud of and I just feel great both inside and out.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.katloterzo.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/kat-purple-2-Custom.png"><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1068" alt="kat purple 2 (Custom)" src="http://www.katloterzo.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/kat-purple-2-Custom-133x150.png" width="133" height="150" /></a>  And if I want to lean up a bit extra, like for the photo-shoot I did, I know exactly which changes I need to make. I know it&#8217;s a combination of the right nutrition, training and lifestyle changes but also the right support and accountability, as well as dealing with the mind stuff. That last bit, as well as having the right support and accountability, is the &#8216;make or break&#8217; for me, and for pretty much every woman out there who is not in fact a robot.</p>
<p>Special events aside, I love that I can now enjoy the body I walk around in without it dominating my every thought or choice. I love that I can go out for a meal or a social event and not freak out. <strong>And I definitely love that no matter what the time of year or season of fashion, I can wear clothes I feel great in!</strong></p>
<p>So.</p>
<p>I want to share with you some of the things that have been crucial to <strong>my </strong>success in getting the body I want and that I know need to be an essential part of your lose the muffin top/get your bikini body plan as well!</p>
<h3>Mind stuff</h3>
<p>You have to understand your &#8216;underlying motivation&#8217; for wanting to change your body, or you won&#8217;t stick to it. Goals need to be clearly defined. Losing weight is not a goal. Fitting into your size &#8216;x&#8217; dress or jeans is a goal. With my private fat loss clients I insist on dealing with thoughts and beliefs as just an important part of the process as what changing nutrition and training is. Sometimes more important.</p>
<h3>Food stuff</h3>
<p>I teach my clients to work on changing one meal at a time. Creating habits. Over the course of several weeks we put strategies into place that set them up for nutritional success for the rest of the day; minimise cravings and emotional eating. Keep blood sugars stable and allow them to release fat. This stuff has to be layered or it just doesn&#8217;t stick. One simple thing you can do towards is eat a protein and good fat based breakfast within 30 minutes of waking.</p>
<h3>Training stuff</h3>
<p>I&#8217;m never unrealistic in my expectations with the women I work with. I am honest about what you need to do to get results, but I&#8217;m skilled at making it doable. I adjust training to be gym or home based, and teach my clients how to train for results in 2 hours or less per week if need be. Just start with what you can do, even if it&#8217;s 10 minutes each morning of squats, lunges and push ups. <em>Just start.</em></p>
<h3>Motivation, accountability, and emotional eating</h3>
<p>This is huge. HUGE. Many women I&#8217;ve worked with have truly put everything into place when it comes to food and training but haven&#8217;t stopped to learn how to stay on track when life happens. Or when they get run down. Feel blah. I am big on getting to the heart of this stuff before it happens. I teach systems for dealing with emotional eating, weekend eating, or a simple case of the can&#8217;t-be-bothered&#8217;s. Daily journalling is one way you can keep your mind focused on what you want and stay on track. There are loads of cool motivational exercises and &#8216;mind tricks&#8217; you can do to release old fears and beliefs and naturally want to do the right thing. But journalling is an awesome place to start right now.</p>
<h3>(Bonus step!) Support</h3>
<p>You have to have the right support to get to your bikini body goal and then also maintain it. You simply have to. It doesn&#8217;t necessarily have to be working with a private coach such as myself. That&#8217;s one thing you could do. But you could also join an online community, a bootcamp, a forum, engage some friends and keep each other accountable. Good support is partly just having someone or other people there for you, and it&#8217;s partly having someone to provide you with actionable steps to take each week in all of the above areas as well as strategies for moving on when life does happen.</p>

<p>Most people will end their life overweight, in debt, having worked too much and played too little. A life full of opportunity constantly delayed.</p>
<p>A life of putting off what could have been because of work, or tiredness, or overwhelm, or general busyness, or perhaps Facebook, or maybe just because they never could quite step off that ledge and risk doing what it would take to live a life less ordinary.</p>
<p>Worse still, than the failure to ever give their dreams a shot, is the reality that most people will die never having been true to themselves.</p>
<p>With their deepest beliefs and values ignored for so long that they were nearly forgotten.</p>
<p>With, as the saying goes, their light still inside of them.</p>
<p>Last year, my 80-year old Grandfather passed away unexpectedly. It was unexpected despite his age, as he appeared in very good fitness and had the kind of energy and personality that made us expect him to live forever. I don&#8217;t think there was a single person who walked out of his funeral service without some sort of contemplation of their own life.</p>
<p>The amount that man had achieved, created, given and loved is beyond description. I&#8217;ve honestly never heard of<i> </i>anyone else who has lived a life so full, and so on purpose. And right up until his last active days.</p>
<p>A story like his stands out, not because he made millions or created an empire, but because anyone listening to his story knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that this was a man who did everything he wanted to do and everything his values told him he needed to do.</p>
<p>And in doing so, unlike the very vast majority of people, he left his light behind him. Yes, he died with plans for the future and for new adventures dancing in his mind, but also with the certainty that everything he&#8217;d wanted to do, be, and have in his 80 years -</p>
<p>Had come to pass.</p>
<p>Right now, can you stand up and name a single person who lives their life this way? I know I&#8217;d struggle. I know that my own life, while very much what it is due to my deliberate choice to live my dreams, more so than most, still has black hole areas of things I keep putting off.</p>
<p>Tell me. Did you ever imagine for a second, somewhere over the last decade or more, that this is what your life would be right now?</p>
<p>If your life is exactly how you always imagined and dreamed, congratulations. I&#8217;d put you at less than 1 in a thousand.</p>
<p>And if you&#8217;re in the 999+?</p>
<p><em>This situation ain&#8217;t gonna change itself.</em></p>
<p><em></em>You will not just get your shit together one day unless you make a conscious, organised, goal and value-orientated and determined decision to do so.</p>
<p>Body transformations don&#8217;t happen by accident, we know that.</p>
<p>But nor do life transformations.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s time to wake up, to (metaphorically) slap yourself around a little bit if needed, and to recognise that this right now? This is it. THIS is your life. This IS your life. This is your LIFE.</p>
<p>What are you doing with it?</p>
<p>Do you look back on the past year and feel proud, content, happy? How about the past 30 days? The past day?</p>
<p>The truth is that your future is easy to predict -</p>
<p>You are the average of the past 30, perhaps 90 days of your life.</p>
<p>All odds say that you&#8217;re very likely to keep eating, thinking, moving, talking exactly the way you have over the past 1-3 months.</p>
<p>That you&#8217;ll bitch and moan about the exact same stuff &#8216;stopping&#8217; you from creating a better life, and yet you&#8217;ll continue to put up with it. Just as you&#8217;ve always done. Just as most people will always do.</p>
<p>And as you think about this, don&#8217;t you just want to cry a little?</p>
<p>Because you <em>know</em> and you know that you know, that the way you&#8217;re living right now is not how it has to be. <em><br />
</em></p>
<p>You are fully aware that you have what it takes to change your body. And every damn part of your life.</p>
<p>Which means that like it or not, you have to admit that the only reason you haven&#8217;t yet done so?</p>
<p>Is you.</p>
<p>But perhaps reading this doesn&#8217;t make you want to cry at all. Perhaps it fills you with a feeling of absolute power, certainty and determination. A sense that this moment right now will be your turning point.</p>
<p>The moment you look back on at having started to live true to you, and to chase your dreams no matter what it takes.</p>
<p>The truth about motivation and living an inspired life is this -</p>
<p>It happens when you decide to make it happen. And you don&#8217;t build motivation by sitting back and resting, recovering from your busy life, and hoping that the next day you&#8217;ll wake ready to go.</p>
<p>You build it by doing what it takes. Every damn day. By being outcome focused rather than reacting &#8211; as most people do, and always will &#8211; to how (you think) you feel.</p>
<p>Too tired, too busy, too stressed, too scared to step outside the norm or your comfort zone?</p>
<p>Maybe.</p>
<p>But are you too much of any of those things to choose them over choosing your dreams?</p>
<p>If the answer is yes, you&#8217;re one in the 999+. Which means nobody is going to judge you at all. You&#8217;re normal. Life is hard. People get it. It&#8217;s okay.</p>
<p>Except, when it&#8217;s not.</p>
<p>Most people will die having never achieved their big dreams or goals.</p>
<p>Join them, if you choose.</p>
<p>Or choose, if you will, to be the 1 in one thousand.</p>

<p><strong>1. Eat breakfast.</strong> No ifs. No buts. No “but I don’t have time”, or “I get up too early as it is”. Pre-prepare it the night before if you have to. Just do it.Researchers at the University of Massachusetts found a 450 percent increase in your risk of obesity if you habitually skip breakfast. ‘Nuff said.</p>
<p><strong>2.</strong> Those same earnest researchers found that eating one or more healthy midday snacks is associated with a 39 percent decrease in your obesity risk. Talk about two great reasons to chow down!</p>
<p><strong>3. Train with weights</strong> at least twice each week. Sorry if I’m being a bit doom and gloom with the stats today, but you want to, whoops I mean need to know this: your metabolism will drop by about 0.5 percent each year after you pass 20 years old. Assuming you eat ‘well’ and are moderately active, this will result in a weight gain of around 4kg/10 pounds per decade. Eeek! Now think about what that means if you don’t exercise at all, and eat trash. Not great, huh?</p>
<p><strong>4. Drink enough water for your body.</strong> Dehydration (comes before thirst) causes your stress hormones to rise and sends a message to your body to store more fat. It also slows your ability to use your muscles, burn off existing fat, and just plain stops you feeling good. You need around 0.033 litres of water for every kilo of body weight. (A kilo is 2.2 pounds). Things that cause an increase in your need for water include over-eating, intense exercise or sweating, extreme weather, air-conditioning, and stimulants such as caffeine or sugar.</p>
<p><strong>5. Since we’re talking about stress</strong>, know this. Regular unabated stress, and even the perception of stress (i.e. worrying that something might happen) all cause a hormone called cortisol to run rampant in your body. Cortisol is an important hormone for helping you to get out of truly stressful situations fast (the old ‘running from a tiger’ scenario), but it’s no good to you if you’ve got it going on most all day every day. In fact, it will slowly but surely destroy every single one of your bodily and metabolic functions, and will cause you to gain fat regardless of how you eat or exercise. One of the most powerful stress-management techniques I know is to block out 10-15 minutes a day just for you. No phones, no emails. This is best done in a relaxing environment and could be as simple as going for a quiet coffee before work and contemplating your day ahead.</p>
<p><strong>6. Eat fat.</strong> Seriously. At <em>least</em> 15% of every meal needs to be fat. You’ve absolutely no chance of losing weight if you don’t do this.</p>
<p><strong>7. Find something to make you smile</strong> or, even better, laugh every single day. Happy people are less stressed (see point 5). Ideas? Listen to or watch a great comedy show, read something tried and tested that you find funny, call up your funniest friend and ask them to make you laugh, take time out to catch up with old friends and reminisce.</p>
<p><strong>8. Sleep your way to a beautiful new you.</strong> Building up a sleep debt of even an hour each night is a sure-fire way to obesity, heart disease and diabetes. Having trouble sleeping? Try a sleep mask, ear plugs, winding down with no TV or computer before bed, and minimize alcohol, sugar and caffeine after 3pm.</p>
<p><strong>9. Back off the caffeine.</strong> If you’d consider yourself a stressed person than I’d try a 30-day no-coffee challenge to get caffeine out of your life for good, or at least until you feel you’ve improved. If you experience medium or low stress than 1, MAYBE 2 coffees each day is okay. Caffeine in any form stimulates your Sympathetic Nervous System, which cause a release of cortisol. I&#8217;m a big caffeine lover myself, but I think we can all benefit from a break from constant stimulation now and again. And we already talked about what that stuff does, didn’t we? Okay then.</p>
<p><strong>10. Go 2 weeks with no sugar or wheat</strong>. Sounds extreme and abnormal, but exceptional health and a body that looks and feels its very best is somewhat extreme and abnormal. Isn’t it? Maybe there’s a reason that the ‘norm’ isn’t working for most people out there, you included. My opinion is that you are not designed to eat processed wheat or sugar and they have no place as a daily habit in a truly natural diet. I&#8217;m not saying never eat them again! But try 2 weeks without these so-called foods and I guarantee you’ll seriously consider cutting them out further. Especially when you notice the initial reaction to first eating them again!</p>

<p>Just imagine &#8211; in as little as 7 days you could be sliding effortlessly back into those &#8216;just a little bit too tight&#8217; skinny jeans or LBD. Let&#8217;s talk details.</p>
<p>First up &#8211; truth time. Most women are holding at least 1 kilo, and up to 3 or 4, that is pretty easy to get rid of. Some of the most common reasons why this is so include:</p>
<ul>
<li>sleep deprivation</li>
<li>stress</li>
<li>eating intolerant or processed foods</li>
<li>a lack of water</li>
<li>too much of the wrong type of fluid</li>
<li>too much sugar or carbohydrate</li>
<li>lack of effective exercise</li>
<li>build up of toxins</li>
</ul>
<p>It&#8217;s quite likely that your body is currently being impacted by at least 3 or 4 of the things on the above list, and possibly even all of them!</p>
<p>I know what you might be thinking right about now &#8211; <em>if I can lose 1-4 kilos in a week, surely most of that would be fluid?</em></p>
<p><em></em>Yes. Most of it <em>will</em> be. But doing it the right way (as I&#8217;m about to show you) will also cause you to start burning more fat. And to continue doing so well beyond the next 7 days.</p>
<p>For example, in my <a href="http://www.lookgreatnaked.net.au" target="_blank"><em>Look Great Naked Online Bootcamp</em></a> it&#8217;s not uncommon for members to report losing as much as 4 kilos in the first week. For <em>sure</em> most of it is fluid. But hey &#8211; a dress size is still a dress size, right?! And more importantly, my bootcamp beauties continue to burn fat and slim down right through the 6 week program as well as beyond. I&#8217;ve had emails from members months later thanking me for how fast they were able to change their body in such a short time and telling me that they&#8217;ve kept it off since. Which is exactly my goal for you. There&#8217;s no point doing a quick fix or fast to drop weight only to rebound back with an extra kilo or two the week after.</p>

<h2>Here&#8217;s what you need to do to change your body in a week.</h2>
<p>The truth is there are tons of ways you can lose weight fast. But these next 6 points are what I would call the biggies. They&#8217;ll get you seeing and feeling results STAT and they&#8217;ll also set you on a path of healthy and sustainable long-term fat burning.</p>
<h3>1. Drop sugars and (unnecessary) carbs. <strong></strong></h3>
<p>When you&#8217;re tired, busy and stressed it&#8217;s all too easy to fuel yourself on more carbs than you really need (they&#8217;re so convenient!) as well as too much sugar. This can give you a short-term energy kick but it doesn&#8217;t do you any favours when it comes to getting rid of that muffin top. The first thing you need to drop a dress size in a week is to cut back on extra sugars and carbs.</p>
<h3>2. Get your sweat on!</h3>
<p>We all know there&#8217;s working out and then there&#8217;s <em>working out</em>. Which are you doing, hmmm? I&#8217;m all for lifting heavy weights with controlled tempos and getting that metabolic and hormonal response but you cannot discount the importance of a good old-fashioned sweat session. This week when you hit the gym or front up for your home workout I want you to have one goal in mind &#8211; <em>sweat that butt off girl!</em> Literally! Sweating helps you clear toxins and excess fluid and can be a great starting point for a healthier lymphatic system and a speedier metabolism.</p>
<h3>3. Cleanse and detox</h3>
<p>One of the reasons you hold extra fluid and extra fat is due to a build up of toxins. This can come from so many factors and to be honest it&#8217;s impossible to be toxin-free these days. So you need to deal with it. You can help your body detox by drinking enough (quality) water, eating plenty of fresh vegetables, sweating, and using various tricks like starting the day with a mix of water, lemon and apple cidar vinegar.</p>
<h3>4. Take a load off</h3>
<p>Did you know stress really does can you fat? It can also cause you to hold onto fluid and feel constantly puffy and bloated. Two of the most common sources of stress are a lack of sleep, and constant overwhelm. Make a commitment to yourself to let go of some of your busy-work this week and take at least 20 minutes each day just for you. A walk or a podcast meditation or some journalling are all great ways to fill this time. Do this as well as kicking the late-night TV or Facebook or work habit and you&#8217;ll start draining your body of fat-making cortisol. You&#8217;d be surprised just how fast you can see results when you learn to regularly take a load off!</p>
<h3>5. Eat regularly</h3>
<p>It&#8217;s a no brainer, right? But yet for some reason it&#8217;s often so hard to do, and we find ourselves out and disorganised or busy and letting hours go by without eating anything. Enter food cravings and rebound binge eating. Start planning your meals and snacks the day before and get in the habit of eating a small meal every 2-3 hours. This is one of the key things you need to do to get fast results, especially if you&#8217;re prone to binge or emotional eating or giving in to food cravings.</p>
<h3>6. Get your head in the right place</h3>
<p>You&#8217;ll never get results (either fast or gradually) if you don&#8217;t really get clear on why it&#8217;s important to you. It&#8217;s not enough to just say <em>&#8216;because I want to be leaner&#8217;</em> or even <em>&#8216;because I want to look hot in my clothes&#8217;</em>. You have to dig a little deeper than that. When you understand your true motivation for changing your body &#8211; such as feeling proud of yourself or feeling more confident &#8211; you&#8217;ll naturally be more motivated to do what it takes. Spend some time this week either walking and thinking or else writing about why you really want this, why it&#8217;s important enough to you.</p>

<p>I went for dinner last Friday night at a really fancy restaurant here in Melbourne. We were a small group – just me, my daughter, my business manager and a mentor of mine who was visiting from overseas. A guy who just happens to be one of the worlds’ most respected and leading experts in the field of getting people in fantastic health and shape. A guy who has coached Olympic Gold Medallists and who has developed an entire teaching institute around the topic of how to get people lean.</p>
<p>Let’s just say nobody who I know would be brave enough to sit in this guys class and eat anything but absolutely top-notch clean food. Myself included <img src='http://www.katloterzo.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>So.</p>
<p>Dinner.</p>
<p>There was a time when I would go to a dinner like that and, no matter how special the occasion, I’d limit myself to the food that most closely replicated the way I eat day to day.</p>
<p>I won’t say ‘dieting food’ as the images that conjures up are actually pretty far from how I eat which is pretty high protein but also pretty high good fats. And lots of vegies of course.</p>
<p>‘Clean food’ is the best way to term it.</p>
<p>Some would call it bland food, but the truth is I actually really enjoy eating that way. I don’t spend my days wishing I could just have a piece of bread or a big plate of pasta. I’m used to how I eat, I love how it works for me, and to top it off I feel far better eating this way than not.</p>
<p>However – and I’m being totally honest here – I can’t say there’s not times when I’m out with friends and I wish I didn’t know as much as I do about good nutrition.</p>
<p>My staple restaurant order for years was garlic bread (OMG, especially if it was <i>cheesy</i> garlic bread!) followed by either gnocchi with napoli sauce and cheese, or linguine marinara. You can bet your bottom dollar I ate my share of the table bread and butter as well, and I sure didn’t say no to dessert or a drink or three.</p>
<p>The best part of those years (again being totally honest) is that I didn’t know I was doing anything ‘bad’ by eating that way. It wasn’t as though I felt guilty about it or as though I had to make up for all those calories and carbs. At the time I just figured – I’m out for dinner. I can eat whatever I want and I’ll enjoy it!</p>
<p>And perhaps I wasn’t doing anything bad at all. Perhaps it’s just that my perception of what I should do or what I have to do has changed.</p>
<p>Because over the years, perhaps partly due to no longer having a 22 year-olds metabolism and also partly due to knowledge, my restaurant and social choices <i>have</i> altered somewhat drastically.</p>
<p>I’m careful.</p>
<p>I ask about gluten-free. I choose something like prawns served alone or with salad for starters, follow it up with a fairly standard order of steak and veg or fish and veg. I have some wine for sure, but dessert is rare. If my husband orders one I might have a bit of his.</p>
<p>And you know what? I don’t sit there feeling sorry for myself, and I <i>do</i> enjoy those meals.</p>
<p>But sometimes I see the linguine marinara go past on it’s way to someone else and I have a fleeting wish that I didn’t know so much or at least didn’t care so much.</p>
<p>Do you ever feel that way?</p>
<p>When I talk to women within my <i>Look Great Naked Online Bootcamp</i>, this topic comes up often.</p>
<p>Us clean-eating girls have made ourselves into social pariahs of sorts, and although we don’t want to draw a lot of attention to ourselves by being overly picky, we’re scared enough about what might happen if we <i>do</i> give ourselves a night off that we’re willing to be that person anyway.</p>
<p>You know what?</p>
<p>In theory, this is fine.</p>
<p>I have nothing against staying clean and in line with your food goals when out for a meal or even attending an occasion like a wedding or party.</p>
<p><i>So long as there is in fact a specific reason for you doing so for that evening, and it’s not just your ‘standard’ approach to dealing with social occasions.</i></p>
<p>Because here’s the thing.</p>
<h2>I don’t think any of us ever set out on this journey to create our best bodies thinking that we’d never get to let our hair down again or just (God forbid) have some popcorn at the movies or dessert at a restaurant.</h2>
<p>I know I didn’t, but how about you?</p>
<p>And be honest now – it’s happened kind of gradually, hasn’t it?</p>
<p>It used to be that you just said no to the bread before the meal, but you still chose the main you really wanted, and you happily had a dessert or perhaps shared one.</p>
<p>You’d go to the movies and tone down the big bag of mixed confectionary but as <i>if</i> you wouldn’t have at least some chocolate or some popcorn. I mean c’mon – it’s the movies!</p>
<p>And a wedding or a party? Obviously you’d eat what was served and enjoy yourself.</p>
<p>The gym is still gonna be there the next day, right?</p>
<p>But somewhere along the way you became more careful. More choosy. And definitely, more scared.</p>
<p>Tell me this –</p>
<p>What are you really scared of here?</p>
<p>Do you honestly believe that one bad meal or even one mega-huge-write-off of a day or night is going to make you fat? Do you? Do you really think that even if you do gain a couple kilos (of what is mostly just a fluid response to extra sugars and carbs) that you won’t have it gone within a few days or a week at the most?</p>
<p>Or do you think that even if the above is true, even if you believe that yes, you could and would be ‘back to normal’ within less than a week that it’s not worth it?</p>
<p>That you have to be perfect all of the time.</p>
<p>That you can’t afford to have a break just yet.</p>
<p>That one day you’ll be able to, for sure. One day you’ll finally have your body at a point where you can enjoy your favourite foods and just not even think about it on a night out.</p>
<p>But not yet.</p>
<p>Right now, you’re not ready.</p>
<p>You don’t deserve it.</p>
<p>And you haven’t worked this hard only to blow it all now.</p>
<h2>Tell me this beautiful – when will one day be?</h2>
<p>When will you be ‘there’?</p>
<p>When will you be good enough?</p>
<p>(And didn’t you kind of think, a year ago or perhaps 5 years ago, that by now you <i>would</i> be there?)</p>
<p>Or perhaps that’s not it at all.</p>
<p>Perhaps you’re not worried about what the impact of one night might be; you know that one night can’t make you fat.</p>
<p>What you don’t know, however, is whether you would be able to keep it to one night.</p>
<p>What you can’t do, right now, is trust yourself to not just keep going.</p>
<p>Here’s the thing. And I said this just a few paragraphs back but it has to be said again.</p>
<p><i>You didn’t set out on this journey with an intention to slowly but surely suck all the spontaneity out of your life or even just out of your food choices.</i></p>
<p>Did you?</p>
<p>Didn’t you at some point have an idea that getting in shape, being fitter, would mean you could enjoy nights out and feel great about yourself and that you’d know how to easily deal with the consequences?</p>
<p>I have to tell you something.</p>
<p>The girls I know who stay in the best shape all year round, including some who are fitness models, give themselves a break.</p>
<p>They don’t sweat about what they do on the weekend – except for actual sweat in the gym come Monday J</p>
<p>I’m not saying that they blow out like a crazy person, and I’m not saying that they party it up or indulge every weekend, but I am saying they know how to relax at dinner. And if they want popcorn and an ice-cream at the movies you can bet they’ll have it.</p>
<p>Wouldn’t it be amazing to think that you could go to dinner or an event and eat whatever you like and <i>not feel guilty about it or scared that it’s going to lead to a binge? </i>Wouldn’t it be incredible to trust in yourself enough to know that even if you did take things too far it’s only one night and that it’s literally impossible for it to impact on your overall results?</p>
<p>I know you agree that that <i>would</i> be amazing but I know there’s a part of you also thinking that you’ll do that, deserve that, in the future.</p>
<p>Well – it’s time stop delaying beautiful.</p>
<p>The future is now. Your <i>life</i> is now. And part of why us obsessive ladies do what we do is, surely, that we <i>can</i> get away with a great night out where the thought of what we ‘should’ eat doesn’t even enter our minds.</p>
<p>It’s time to give yourself a break lady.</p>
<p>Don’t you think?</p>
<p>And order the damn pasta if that’s what you want J</p>
<p>Oh – and if you’re wondering about what I ordered at dinner on Friday, I had the steak. With potatos and loads of butter and followed by a lemon tart topped with an obscene amount of cream.</p>

<h2 dir="ltr"><span style="font-size: x-large;">FAQs &#8211; these are a selection of questions I&#8217;ve been asked quite a bit over the past week or two.</span></h2>
<p dir="ltr"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>I&#8217;ve tried everything and my weight won&#8217;t shift &#8230;</strong></span></p>
<p dir="ltr">Q: I&#8217;m just wondering if your VIP mentoring would be appropriate for me. I&#8217;ve had stubborn weight that won&#8217;t shift for many years, despite changing my diet completely and trying different exercises. I&#8217;m keen to get into the nitty gritty with your help and really get on top of this weight. Would VIP be a good way to go?</p>
<p dir="ltr" style="padding-left: 30px;"><em>A: The real advantage of VIP is it will teach you to totally understand your body and your needs when it comes to nutrition, hormonal balance, training and ultimately to creating a lifestyle approach to staying in shape. I use an approach of teaching you and telling you what to do that is slow and gradual, and add together to be very powerful. What many of my girls have loved about it is that it didn&#8217;t require dramatic change or sacrifice and yet they still saw a dramatic difference.</em></p>
<p dir="ltr"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Are your workouts for home or gym? Do I need equipment at home?</strong></span></p>
<p dir="ltr">I&#8217;m just wondering, the work outs you provide, how long do they go for and are they done at the gym or home? If home what equipment is needed?</p>
<p dir="ltr" style="padding-left: 30px;"><em>I actually offer both, you can choose to train at home or gym. The length varies, some are as short as 20 minutes and the max would be 45-50 minutes. So lots of options <img src='http://www.katloterzo.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </em></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="padding-left: 30px;"><em>As far as equipment goes you only need a pair of dumbells or two (one is fine), something you can use for a step i.e. a coffee table or an old milk crate, and maybe a skipping rope; that&#8217;s optional. A kettlebell is also option.</em></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="padding-left: 30px;"><em>I try to keep it simple so you don&#8217;t have to spend money on equipment, and trust me you don&#8217;t need any more than that anyway!</em></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="padding-left: 30px;"><em>I&#8217;m tired of looking for the right thing &#8230; (and official start date + will I have to buy supplements)</em></p>
<p dir="ltr"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Q: In relation to the VIP mentoring &#8211; is there a start date for this program or are people at different stages of the program depending on when they signed up? (I know last chance to sign up is today!!)</strong></span></p>
<p dir="ltr">Also  - will the program involve spending a lot of money on other extra&#8217;s i.e. supplements/expensive foods etc. I do not want to sign up for it if it will involve buying too many extra things that I may not be able to afford as this would mean I will not be able to participate fully and although I would probably still benefit from parts of the program I would like to find an option/program that is very closely suited to me and what I am able to achieve/afford&#8230; something do-able.</p>
<p dir="ltr">I am so tired of looking for the &#8216;right&#8217; thing and hope this might be it&#8230;</p>
<p dir="ltr" style="padding-left: 30px;"><em>A: To answer your questions, the start date is whenever you sign up within the registration period <img src='http://www.katloterzo.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </em></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="padding-left: 30px;"><em>Supplements &#8211; I do mention them and there is a &#8216;supplement&#8217; of the month simply meaning highlight it and talk about what it does. But no, you don&#8217;t need them. I would say only 10% of previous VIPs have added supplements. Even I don&#8217;t use them all year round.</em></p>
<p dir="ltr" style="padding-left: 30px;"><em>If you&#8217;ve struggled with previous programs it could be they are too aggressive for what you need right now. VIP is unique in that the goal is to teach you how to understand your body&#8217;s unique needs. It&#8217;s about creating a lifestyle and the changes are gradual, and add together to be very powerful. Many of my VIPs have told me that they loved that it didn&#8217;t require dramatic change or sacrifice and yet they still saw a dramatic difference.</em></p>

<p dir="ltr">Q: I&#8217;ve just been listening to your webinar again and I love it!! It&#8217;s sooo great thankyou. I&#8217;ve been reading about the 12 month VIP coaching with you and I&#8217;m really stuck wether to sign up or not&#8230; The thing is I&#8217;m currently doing another online 12-week program which I&#8217;m only half way through at the moment but I don&#8217;t want to miss out on your program but I don&#8217;t want to double up either?!</p>
<p dir="ltr">I&#8217;m not really seeing results with what I&#8217;m doing and I think it&#8217;s because I&#8217;ve been given basic info on what to eat, and in that case I keep my food very basic &amp; boring because I don&#8217;t know what I can &amp; can&#8217;t use to make it interesting &amp; I keep eating the same thing over &amp; over because I don&#8217;t know how to add variety as when I do I think I&#8217;m being bad &amp; not eating healthy &amp; end up on a food or my favourite &#8220;chocolate&#8221; binge <img src='http://www.katloterzo.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif' alt=':(' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p dir="ltr">I really need something to follow by day after day with variety so I know I&#8217;m eating good food that&#8217;s different everyday. Your thoughts?</p>

<p dir="ltr" style="padding-left: 30px;"><em>The thing with VIP &#8211; it is totally different to most online programs, it&#8217;s not about &#8216;just do this for &#8216;x&#8217; weeks&#8217; and then what. In VIP I literally tell you everything i.e.all the little details that we as practitioners learn and use with our 1:1 clients. It is incredibly in depth and that&#8217;s why my girls get such great results as VIP clients.</em></p>
