“Woman Scream” International Poetry Festival-2012 in 5 continents!

30 countries and over 80 scheduled events will be part this next March 2012, of the great chain of the “Woman Scream” International Poetry Festival to be held worldwide on 5 continents in honor of women and against violence.

This festival lifts up women, and female literary talent (poetry) and her job in literature. In addition to engaging the social work of the cause of non-violence against women. Men and woman collaborate altogether with the cause.

Among the countries to join this great poetic celebration will include:

With the participation of about 28 invited countries worldwide and over 70 events planned around the world, will take place throughout the month of March 2012 the 2dn International Poetry Festival " Woman’ Scream" will be coordinated worldwide by the Women Poets International Movement (MPI) with the support of our good-will ambassadors, supporters, institutions, etc. This festival aims to bring together men and women poets, musicians, actors and artists and others in various countries, to pay a fitting tribute to the woman during the entire month of March and extending a cry of "Enough!" to the violence perpetrated against her. "Woman’ Scream" was conceptualized and designed by the Dominican writer Jael Uribe, President and direct Coordinator of the Movement based in the Dominican Republic.

This year's calling has been translated into five languages (English, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Italian) but has managed to include many other languages in different countries that have joined this calling, capturing a great reception in other countries not only speak Spanish as it was the case of last year festival.

The event not only for local and international poets (men and women), but there are also made from March 1st. to 31, all kinds of cultural activities such as: Music, theater, lectures, exhibitions, fairs, debates, among others. We have the support of cultural institutions, foundations, ministries, businesses, educational institutions and municipalities, as well known figures in the field of literature and art in their respective host nations.

The Women Poets International Movement (MPI) has its center of action over the network in its different aspects, with thousands of fans everywhere and a direct follow up to over 350 Latin American poetesses.

Calling for the 2dn “Woman’ Scream” International Poetry Festival 2012

Time is getting closed to plan our 2dn. “Woman’ scream” International Poetry Festival, created by the Dominican poetess Jael Uribe and hosted by the Movement Mujeres Poetas Internacional (Women Poets International) based in Dominican Republic. This festival has the objective of reuniting poets and artists from al over the World, and creating gatherings on many countries and places to make a well deserved tribute to women and to raise our voices against women’s violence. Add your country to the cause!

Last March 2011 festival was an Amazing experience to all of the 50 goodwill ambassadors of our movement who became part of this project and who gave their best to make our festival in 17 Spanish spoken countries and 44 different locations, a great and well now success. Due to this, International Press got to know us and many good things came our way to make proud our members and followers. We now want to extent this festival to other languages and countries:

The person who become part of this cause, must be a 100% engage to the purpose of taking our poetry scream of solidarity with the cause with altruism, so our voices could be heard whenever there is a person that can help us put a stop to women’s violence, or whether there is a mistreated woman who needs courage to face her grieve, and proudly embrace our mission knowing how important his/her help is, for the success of the project.

So we extent this calling to join the cause, and ask for the help of all of you to make this message be heard to people interested in becoming part of what we do.

"Woman’ Scream" International Poetry Festival 2011 ends with success.

The “Woman’ Scream" International Poetry Festival 2011 organized by the Movement of Women Poets International (MPI) with headquarters in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, ends yesterday with great success in Cochabamba, Bolivia. This festival was designed and masterfully coordinated by the Dominican writer Jael Uribe, a roar that was heard from Sweden to Patagonia (literally). "Woman’ Scream" started strongly in the March 5 Cájar Granada-Spain, poetry, music, lectures, performances, presentations and so on., In honor of women and against violence and culminated yesterday March 30 in Mexico City with a total of 44 events in 17 countries and various communities and states.

In a fitting tribute, and we could say as an "attack" against violence, nearly 40 MPI members worldwide, were converted into good-will ambassadors of the movement, whose responsibility was to pull the invisible strings of this wonderful initiative. Their efforts and endeavors have been rewarded with the overall success of the activity, which has affected not only incredibly on the Internet, where they have their base, but in the international press and the hearts of poets and assistants all participating countries and beyond its borders.

The “Woman’ Scream" International Poetry Festival 2011 organized by the Movement of Women Poets International (MPI) , Jael Uribe and the nearly 40 of the good-will ambassadors participants deserve their names resounding in the wind, along with the hearts of women and men attending and participating in the different events, what they did will be in the consciousness of those who live in silence and that aren’t strong enough to raise their voices, but above all things, it was another link that will be added to the great chain of souls who cry a halt to violence against our mother-creator, the woman.
