Kawaii Amigurumi No. 13 Chocolate!

YES! I finally finished Chocolate, for real, she looked very delicious ^___^ This is my 13th kawaii amigurumi collection and I'm very proud of it. I couldn't believe I made at least 13 amigurumi plush already, wow! Considering that I'm not doing this for full time and I'm very happy. :)

I hope Chocolate will find a good home, I'm sure her new owner will treasure her a lot.
Instead of making dress, I only made a flower necklace for her. I also made her a little birdie friend...sitting on top of her head. The little birdie was made out of wool felt and she a cutie pie <3 <3 <3. Chocolate also wearing a flower band on her ear, each flower is made with furry felt fabric with pearl beads in the center. All hand sewn >_<

Ester Charm Project

Hi Guys! Just finished baked my Easter charms commission. These charms will be send out on this Easter Sunday to a special someone. I took the liberty to make a bunny and a cross for this commission.
I thought it will be kind of special to have bunny (Easter...oh well, you will connect bunny with Easter, don't you?) also a cross, which symbolize church and baptism. Since it just came out from oven I can't really hold them xD I have to wait till it is cool enough then I can paint it. Oh my, I got SO many colors for this bunny, LOL! Promise will show you guys finish product and a lot of pictures!!

Hopefully I will have plenty of charms in order for me to shoot a video for it. ^___^ By the way, I just uploaded a video to Youtube for my Alpaca collection review, you can click the link and take a look! The penguin in the video is for my Niece's Birthday gift, she's nuts about Penguins! ^_^

Amigurumi Golden Retriever Puppy Wonderful Day

Just finished my cute round head Golden Retriever puppy! He's my number 9 creation. The puppy got very cute! I had to share with you, LOL I couldn't wait till I finish the outfit.
The puppy-chan has very round face, floppy ears and big brown eyes! Puppy will have a sundress and a headband to go with it. I might make a cute shoes but it will depend on how I make the sundress ^^
I received my fabric this morning and I really liked the fabric, not bad at all! I think I will be purchasing from this vendor, they are very fast and responsible, thank God! I was going to draft the dress but since I just came back from our Evangelic Meeting from church I guess I have to wait till tomorrow night.
I am TIRED physically but not mentally! I love our special speaker! He's a great speaker and often bring the truth from a simple joke...I had the privileged to sing the the Praise Team and I really enjoyed a lot!
I hope someone will adopt my puppy-chan. He's very special because it was the first time that I dye my yarns! Puppy will be available at Etsy...sorry, I will not make same puppy, because I only dye 1 ball of yarn...LOL

Amigurumi No8 Puppy WIP

Amigurumi Crochet No 8 Puppy

I wanted to use this yarn to make a Golden Retriever puppy, I thought the color will be close to the real Golden Retriever :) This was my first time to try to dye my yarns. Using Compulsion to dye..however I felt that it was not successful :S Why? Because all the fur shrunk after I dye...and it was not fluffy at all when it is finally dried. :( I saw other pro ami masters dye their own yarns and all their yarns looked fluffy and furry. :S I don't know what went wrong in the process *sigh* I guess I have to dye more in order to find out.
Anyway, here is the preview of the head and body ;P Hopefully these fur balls will evolve into a cute kawaii puppy ^^

Amigurumi Snow Bear

Recently I started to crochet this Amigurumi Snow Bear for “Christmas Shoe Box” project from our church. I thought it will be nice to make something unique for the child, of course I also included some other toys, note pad, pencils and T-shirts. Too bad that I couldn’t include RuRu’s designed T-shirt… D:
It still in designing phase and might get ready around Jan Hopefully next year I can supply some for these kids. The Christmas Shoe Box project is created for children in other countries with limited or no resources to things that we don’t even care. Like toothbrush, candies, toys, pencils & note pads. We have more than enough resources to use and these children needed but couldn’t get enough. Our church is been sponsoring this project for several years now, I used to buy things but I want to make something special this year.
Well, I’m not yet finished but just to give a preview…hehe, I hope you liked my version of Snow Bear (not polar bear). When I finished I’ll post it with a nicer back ground!
Oh, talking about background, I’ve been looking for a good material to make walls and floor. Do you have any ideas that you can share with me? I absolutely have NO idea where and how to get it. I only been to Michael’s Art Supplies and Joann Fabrics. I got some miniature things but am puzzled about the walls and floors. I really appreciate if you can share with me (>_<)

Fun Mao Mao Bunny Tshirt Design

It's been a while since I update this blog, sorry about that guys >_< I promise I'll get better updating my art progress more often O_O

In case that you don't know what's happening to me, LOL, I'm currently building another shopping site selling my stuffs; T-shirts, T-shirt designs, Amigurumi dolls, cute stuffs around the world. I'm going to open design studio taking projects/assignments for various design for T-shirt, logo, posters, eFlyers, photo editing and possibly short video commercial in the future. :)

Here is a cute T-shirt design that I did for my Nephew & Niece. They both love Mao Mao very much and wanted him to be on their T-Shirt, so I designed this for them. This is made with press on fabric. It looks better if I can get it printed on shirt directly (digital print or screen print). Well, maybe in the future I can print it out.

I LOVE the expression of this bunny...hahah, he looked numb and Mao Mao was running away for his life!

Alpaca | Arpakasso plush pictures

I recently got a lot of Alpaca plush from Japan. Please don't ask me why I got a lot, I meant at least like 9 plush... -_- I had none "zero" then I got desperate this is how it happened :S

I was in Taiwan back June and saw this "sheep" like Alpaca plush, I didn't pay much attention to it because I was not too fascinate with it besides I know it is popular before I went back to Taiwan. THEN, when I come back to US, I started to see a lot of people searching for it online. Go search any search engine you will know what I'm talking about then I thought "Geesh, what opportunity I've missed? I could purchase A LOT of it and setup an online store and sell it" Ouch right? Yeah.

Later, I found out there are plenty different Alpaca plush in Japan. Each one has different design, some with pastel colors then I thought "OMG!! I SHOULD BOUGHT THESE!!! They are SO CUTE!" double ouch right there. Ha!

Finally I started to search hope I can find someone selling but NONE! Later I found a girl selling from UK (-_-) In case you're NOT aware...UK British Pound is higher than US Dollar. D: Then I bought some from her. After that I waited almost for 2 months to receive my plush BUT before that I found my supplier and ordered several more.....hahaha, yeah now I got a lot and I want to find my alpaca a nice home and sell it.

Digital sketch? Wacom Inkling!

When I saw this Wacom Inkling I was like "I want this!!"

This is a really smart idea! Putting sketches in digital format, it will eliminate a lot of scanning and re-sketch problem. I some times have difficult time to redraw something that I drew on a piece of tissue paper earlier of the day. Sometimes I just can reproduce the lines again. Thanks to Wacom now I can sketch on a normal paper and it will be transferred to my PC :D

One of the supplier that I was interested to purchase items seems not that interested so I had to find other suppliers who are INTERESTED.

Another supplier in UK just took my money and telling me to wait for the merchandise, it's been 2 months already and I don't have my merchandise. =_= Talking about drama....here we have it all.

I'm also designing some stuff, so when I have it ready it should look really good. Hopefully the store will open at the end of this year or Next year, I'm aiming at Valentine's Day :D

Photomanipulation: Sir Mao the Fur Knight

Hellllooooo guys how are you all doing?

Thank God that Irene didn't come to Florida BUT I felt sad for all other States who got hit by Hurricane Irene. :( I really hope people are all okay there, my prayers to you all~

This is the FIRST ever photomanipulation that I ever done! I followed an online tutorial because I SO wanted to learn how to do this, and the ONLY way to learn is to DO IT BY YOURSELF! So, I found a very good website: http://vandelaydesign.com/blog/design/photo-manipulation-tutorials/ which offers plenty of tutorials on photomanipulation. I'm going to start my 2nd assignment and hopefully I'll finish by Sunday and WILL share with you guys <3 <3

What do you guys think? I hope you liked it. I still can see little flaws here and there BUT I am very happy that I finished something and created some wonderful work for Mao Mao. He does looked real right? :D

I had to do some adjustment on the horse, because there was a "knight" sitting on the horse...LOL I had to "erase" the knight SPECIALLY his leg! Remember Mao Mao don't have a leg >_<

Also I adjusted brightness and contrast... I didn't like the light blue in the tutorial SO, I made it darker to have some dark feeling...yup, Mao Mao is GOING TO KILLS THE EVIL DRAGON! xD

I'm thinking my next project...hmm, I think I'm going to make an old attic with some antique toys and of course Mao Mao will be playing toys...with lights and smokes ( shall I say dust? O_O ). Wooo... I ca't wait to start now!

Ok, there is something that I need to spit out! I can't hold it any longer! ARRRRHHHH!

Magic Inspired Watercolor Painting

Hi Guys long time no see!!! Yes I'm still around just being very busy lately.

Today, I want to share a very nice traditional watercolor painting by one of my friend on Deviant Art. I've posted a cosplay picture called "Magic" and this picture inspired him to paint the picture.

I really liked the way he compose the whole picture. If you visit my gallery (Marlinx Deviant Art page) you'll see the original character was lying on the floor holding a card and looking towards the camera. Instead drawing something similar, he drew a larger face and half body, you actually can see the expression from the character and it looked very interesting.

I am SO glad that he made this picture! I really liked it, specially with the little tear/diamond under her eye, simply BEAUTIFUL! <3 <3

I’m glad that my picture can be inspirational, I never know a simple picture can do this much! Hopefully I’ll create or have more “good” pictures to get people inspired OR can feel what I felt, see what I’m seeing. Challenging right? LOL, yeah I know but this is something that I want to go for it.

I’m also looking into “Cinematography” at the moment. I’m amazed by these short films have “cinema” feels…I really want to make something like that! Maybe in the future :)

Amazing Kitty Charm here, LOOK!

Heyyyyyyyyy! I want to show you these wonderful kitty charms that I got from my trip in Taiwan. These are SO cute and colorful. I love all three colors, hehe it makes me really cheerful to see these colors!! They are JUST RIGHT for your purse, mobile phone or just simply carrying around using a hook and hook on your pants. These charms are not little, they are about a foot long (girlsssss, of course!)…like maybe 6-7 inches at the top. The fabric is very soft and smooth, possibly cotton with polyester? Sorry that I really don’t know how to describeon this but it is very smooth.

I right now ONLY have 3 kitty charms and I am not going to get anymore so if you want it please let me know If you are a cat lover, you should get one of these, it’s delightful! I swear you that you won’t find it anywhere. I even only saw few of these in one location and didn’t see it anywhere else.
If you know someone loves cat, you should get it for him/her as gift or keep one for yourself! This will bring their smiles on their faces!

Like I mentioned earlier, each items that I have in my online store are in limited quantities. I only bring small quantity items and these are handpicked items, they are very unique I, personally liked it very much. I won’t sell anything that I don’t like

Bath time - Mao Mao Comic

Hi guys!
Long time no action, haha I know I know!! I've been very busy and didn't have time to do my favorite thing which is drawing! Finally I finished my first ever comic strip phew boy it was much difficult than I thought.

At first I thought it was easy, right... Just draw 4 little squares and then you're done. WRONG! It took me whole 30 mins thinking how to end this story, then another hour to finish sketch and color. I didn't finish the whole thing till tonight, hurray! ^_^

Well, this is my first try to make a comic out of Mao Mao OR anything. I might expand more character but for now it's the little girl ( no name yet! ) and naughty Mao.

If you find it funny or worth reading please drop me a note and let me know, this will give me great courage to continue, of course I will try to improve whatever is lacking but support and show some love?

Praise Team Polo Shirt finish product

Hiya guys!
Finally I took time to pass by my church this afternoon and took MA shirt home, har har har!! I am SO happy that they really liked the polo shirt. The gray was a nice choice and the black printing just classic!

Overall, I liked it. It's crispy and all fine lines are really nice and clean! Take a look!

Cipher digital painting

Hi everyone!

I was going through my blog articles and saw Cipher -WIP and I sort of forgot to post the finished drawing on here >_< I'm SO sorry! LOL, I don't remember it at all! @_@

Ok, as I promised I'm uploading Cipher in here :D I hope you don't mind this late...lol
I've been busy doing other things, designing banners for our church and design shirts for
our Praise team. They told me that many people loved it! Also Coral Spring Church's Music Minister also liked my "Boy & sheep" design, she said she's going to order for her team. WOW! I'm really happy that they liked my design.

I was worried that I might not do a good job BUT, thank to God it turned out alright ^^ That gave me ideas to make T-shirt designs when I come back from my trip.

I will start to design T-shirts and some custom made stuffs with my Mom, stay tune for my announcement for our online shop ;P Hopefully this design thing will lead us into something more wonderful!

I might be able to update till July, before my next update I want to wish everyone a great summer and keep drawing!

Hi guys!
Just want to share the new with you guys, I got the T-shirt few days ago it was pretty!
Picture is very crisp and proportion is just perfect! I was worried that picture might looked smaller on the actual Tshirt but it turned out just right!, YAY!

I didn't have the polo shirt but this Sunday I'll get it, I'll post it on here with both pictures. I think Blogger has some problem, it won't let me post any pictures, it said "Server rejected", not sure why but I'll try it again on this Sunday. :)

:) Picture is nice, specially the sheep, SO cute! I know that our English Praise Team didn't like this shirt, according to what they said " it's too cute!" I guess since they are all guys... they don't want cute stuff on them... LOL

This Sunday I will receive the other shirt, since we changed the shirt color so it will be gray and black logo. My sister was asking me how come I didn't design black shirt and white logo? O_O yeah, heheh, I never thought of it! I wanted to give some color to the team I didn't think "black" is a god choice. Anyway, I'll update you on Sunday. Please take care!

Chibi Princess SAI and sheepy doodles

I'm currently working on several illustration for my Facebook and Deviant Art pages. I was SO inspired by this girl on Deviant art who draws a sheep to tell bible stories.

At first, I was enjoying reading this one page comic and didn't realize that at the end of the story there was a bible verse posted! I thought it was a such nice idea, so I was gonna try.

It took me like several weeks and nothing came out. Why? Because I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DRAW! @_@ I thought it's easy but actually it's pretty hard to start!

I started to doodle...hoping by doodling I can come up with some ideas. Later I revisit the site and saw her Diary...she "PRAY" about the story... OHHHHHHHH no wonder! Haha, I should do the same. SO, I'm prayed about the story or song that God wanted me to draw >_< So far, I got a song " I need Thee every hour" ^^ I'm pretty sure this is the song BUT what to draw? (-_0) How can I draw a song?

Anyway, I just doodle till my brain tells me "THIS IS IT!" LOL. Well, we gonna see. Once I finished for sure I'll post on here (*_0) Until then...

I'm almost finished sketching the sheep & the shepherd, I wanted to create this drawing with a bit of oil painting feel in it...but I don't want to make too realistic since the sheep has very cartoonish face..haha.

These 3 drawings have three different styles... SO hard to decide what to draw!!!! Arrh... -__-

Speed paint- with Painter 11

Today I'm in playing mode! :) Didn't want to draw anything specific but do want to draw something silly. I ordered a guide book from Taiwan, too bad that you can't find it in U.S. This great artist is one of the Painter Master! He's SO amazing!

I do this jaw dropping movement throughout the DVD and couldn't take my eyes off his painting! I was following one of the example that he used to draw a robot.

Can you tell? hehe, my robot is too feminine... using too much "soft" colors BUT i must say that I do enjoy creating this drawing and looking forward to learn more from this painter master :)

There are So many tools, brushes in Painter 11, endless possibility! One day I hope/wish that I can draw like him.

Praise Team Logo Design

Another design for my church's praise team, this time is to be printed on polo shirt. This shirt will be wearing for more formal occasion such as Evangelical Meetings or church retreat. I know that praise team leaders are planning to wear this in the upcoming 2011 retreat this year!

I'm very excited that they are going to wear my design and walking around the campus :D Its almost like dream ~~~~ People wearing my design shirt!

I was thinking that I should design some unique shirt...maybe for personal indulgence ;P what do you think? I have something in mind but I need to actually do it >_< Hopefully this will be my next project! If you have any good idea, let me know please!

"Praise God" Praise Team Tshirt Design

Just finished a T-shirt design for our church's praise team. They asked me several months ago and I was honored to accept the job :D

I was very happy that I can use my talent to do something good for God and my church friends. I was sketching on my sketch book during Sunday service and got this image in my head, I tried to grab it before it's gone.

After I finished few sketches I showed to Praise team leaders Sandy and Rebecca, surprisingly they all liked it! It was the quickest approval I ever got! :D I'm glad that they accept the idea being "cute" for T-shirt design.

After got approval from the team I began to work on digital inking. I was quiet fun creating this sheep. It's Awassi sheep, a typical sheep in Israel. I didn't want to draw an ordinary sheep like everybody else, so I drew Awassi sheep, with cute curly hair. :D

Then I created a little chubby boy singing. He's actually King David, can you tell? LOL. Anyway, I made a staff for him also a modern t-shirt with a music note on it emphasis that he loves music.

On top of the Chinese words are "Praise Him", on the bottom is the bible verse from Psalm 96:1 "Sing new songs to the Lord...." ^^ I even picked the verse! I really liked it and I thank God to give me this privilege to design something useful!!

The printing company love my drawing, I'm surprised too! @_@ Never thought this many people liked my drawings....usually people don't say anything about my drawings...(-__-) Yeah I know. But!!! I'm happy.

Murakami Versailles

Murakami Versailles

One of my favorite artist Takashi Murakami is having an exhibition in Versailles Paris. The works and the layout with Versailles are very unique…from looking at the pictures I feel the total harmony in it. Even though one is modern and one is very classical styles! I really liked Murakami’s art, I was one of the person collecting his LV purse! hahaha, yeah, I got little purse and a small bag BUT I’m very happy that I got.

Mr. Murakami said something about this exhibition:

“For a Japanese like me, the Château de Versailles is one of the greatest symbols of Western history. It is the emblem of an ambition for elegance, sophistication and art that most of us can only dream of.
Of course, we are aware that the spark that set fire to the powder of the Revolution came directly from the centre of the building.

But, in many respects, everything is transmitted to us as a fantastic tale coming from a very distant kingdom. Just as French people can find it hard to recreate in their minds an accurate image of the Samurai period, the history of this palace has become diminished for us in reality.

So it is probable that the Versailles of my imagination corresponds to an exaggeration and a transformation in my mind so that it has become a kind of completely separate and unreal world. That is what I have tried to depict in this exhibition.

I am the Cheshire cat that welcomes Alice in Wonderland with its diabolic smile, and chatters away as she wanders around the Château.

With a broad smile I invite you all to discover the wonderland of Versailles.”

Illustration thoughts

I was suppose to post my work in here at least once or twice a week but I failed -_-
I should take the most of blame because lack of motivation...not that I don't like to draw but too much going on in my life >_< Oh well, who doesn't?

Thought I should keep my promise... it's for my own good! Oh yeah, I found a wonderful program called Illustudio! It's combining Photoshop, SAI and Managa Studio! I can't wait to try it xD

This is Moon. She's an adorable girl with an amazing ability! She should save the world! xD Well, I'm still working on my first manga, hopefully I can get started draft soon ^^ Cool guys + cute girl = AWESOMENESS! :P

Illustration - Love with no reservation

Just finished an illustration fro our church's Home New cover. We have this publication since 1969.. it's been there for long time :)

Members will write various articles about bible, life and health related issues and we publish on quarterly basis. This issue's theme is "Love with no reservation"
So I was thinking to find some simple clip art then put it there... but I couldn't find anything fits my thought, so I drew a picture.

Not sure if anyone will notice these details but.. it's my intention to tell people;
The white lily symbolized purity of God's love, and under the lily there is a hen/bird.. whatever it looks like.. xD and chicks hiding under her wings.

There are seven chicks, again, symbolize perfect. Also if you look the white lily from far, you'll see a cross shap...it's God :)

Well, I hope they will like it. I'm kind of nervous that they will say something like "childish" or "Too cartoonish.. not serious enoug..."... Oh boy, I hope not. >_<

I really liked this... this is my favorite! Hope you like it too!
