The workshop is over 4 days (3-6 September), and is all about how to set up your own internet business that runs on auto-pilot.

As usual, we’ll be giving you training that’s practical, step-by-step and straight forward, with loads of examples to make it easy to understand.

It’s mainly us on stage, (except on the odd occasion where we bring in one of our faculty members to talk about stuff they’re better at!). It’s definitely NOT a sell-fest, with an unrelated series of 90 minute sales pitches!

Here’s an outline of what we’ll be covering on each day:

DAY 1-Friday 3 September. Today you’ll be learning all about making passive income on the internet. We show you step-by-step exactly how to find a lucrative niche, as well as some quick, clever ways to research that niche so that you can beat your competition. We’ll also show you how to write a winning sales letter. You know we have one sales letter that’s made us over a million dollars? We’ll show you how.

DAY 2-Saturday 4 September. We continue with the steps to creating a passive online income. You’ll learn how to quickly, easily and cheaply build downloadable products. We then show you the ways we drive loads of eager-to-buy people to our websites. We’ll show you how we use Google Adwords, email marketing, teleseminars, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and loads more to quickly find hungry customers.

DAY 3-Sunday 5 September. Today we finish off the process of building a passive online business by showing you how to build a website that sells, and how to tweak it to get the most income out of it. That website that’s made us over a million dollars-would you believe we nearly canned it in the first few weeks? It wasn’t until we tweaked it (and we’ll show you how) that the money started flowing. Then we show you something REALLY exciting-how you can supercharge the process, and create a 6 or 7 figure business in as little as 90 days. Over the last 2 years we’ve been involved in 9 of these businesses-at the workshop you’ll see why we think they’re the best thing since sliced bread!

DAY 4-Monday 6 September. We know that none of this works without a success mindset, and a plan to make it all a reality. On this last day we show you the “secret sauce” that we add to all our internet businesses that makes them so successful. We first show you the techniques we use to identify and eliminate our subconscious blockages to being successful (yes, we’re still weeding them out!). Then we show you how we plan any new internet business so that we get the outcome (and the income!) we want from it. You’ll walk out at 5pm with a mini business plan, ready to start on Tuesday!

We are looking for a person to create articles, blog posts, e-books and follow up auto-responders for our own projects and those of our clients. Usually you will be asked to re-purpose existing content (for example take a transcript of an interview and create multiple content types from it) so there is rarely the need for research on the topic.

We’re looking for someone with experience and who has a business that can grow if we send you referrals. If you give great service and value to us then we will refer you to our clients. We need to know you are serious about ghost writing as your business because we need to know you can cope with any referrals we send you and still provide great service and meet deadlines for us and them (you may be able to tell here that in the past we have referred so many people to suppliers they stopped meeting our own deadlines!).

So please, if you like the idea of writing but it is something on the side, rather than your passion, please don’t apply.

General Requirements:

• Reliably meet deadlines
• Provide value for money
• Charge and accept payment in Australian dollars so we can predictably budget.
• Write in a similar style to me which is pretty informal & friendly with  a sense of humour (you can see examples here on my blog)
• Write without hype. I like to keep it pretty real.
• Use your initiative, ie if you have ideas on how to improve what we do, using your services, we want to hear it.

One of the things I arranged is to have a few tables in the break-out area for all the attendees to put their networking material. Business cards, flyers, gifts, JV advertisements etc. A lot of events don’t allow attendees to promote their businesses and give out promotional material so if you find an organiser who is happy for you to do this, or even better, actively support you to do this, then make the most of it.

Live events is one of the best places to build your business through relationships but I find most people don’t know how to do this. So I made this short video for you while I was at The Grace.

Keywords are King

Both Google and Youtube use keywords as the basis for rankings. The keywords you use in the description, title and tags of your videos are what both search engines (yes YouTube is a search engine too) use to give results when people are searching for information.

What Keywords to Target

Here is a quick way to choose keywords.

1. Brainstorm possible keywords first for your niche
2. Search on YouTube for videos on those topics
3. Look at the tags the most popular videos in that niche have used. This will give you even more ideas
4. Go to Google Keywords tool and check out how many people search on these keywords and what the competition is.
5. Choose the most promising and use this to list your video.

Pam commented that she finds it easier to get rankings for a keywords that already has some competition than try and get ranked for keywords that aren’t already used yet. (surprising eh?)

What to Do With The Keywords

When you add your video to YouTube, add your keywords to the following:

1. The title of your video
2. The description of the video
3. The tags of the video.

How To Piggy Back on Someone Else’s Success

Pam shared a technique that is a bit like getting links from other high ranking sites back to your site, except in YouTube Land.
Link your videos to other high ranking videos on YouTube that use your chosen keyword.
Here’s how you do it:

1. Find other videos on Youtube that have ranked well using your keywords.
2. Make sure your video does not directly compete (on subject matter) with the high ranking video you have found
3. Make a video comment on this high ranking video
4. To do this, click in the comments box below the video, then click on the link to the right of the comment box that says “attach video”
5. Then choose to either make a new video, upload one, or bets, just attach one of your existing ones you are hoping to rank highly for that keyword.
6. Done!
7. Now when people are looking for videos on their search term they will find your video directly under the high ranking video and hopefully click through to see yours.
8. Clever eh?
