Woodbury Commons Premium Outlets are world famous and bloggers just LOVE to shop there. And being bloggers, they often write about their trips. I like to see who has been buying what at Woodbury Commons and so each week I’ll be finding bloggers who write about their shopping trips to the Outlet Mall!

Here is what we have for this week:

A fun story of shopping through a blizzard from Heavenly Tastes in NYC. The author writes “The savings were worth the harrowing trip. A $600 suit for $168.” Nice deal!

Leanne says that she has a little money left over for a trip to Woodbury Commons – find something nice at a great price!

Washingtonville basketball player Jeff Cochi was interviewed by Varsity 845 where he revealed that “I work at Bass in the (Woodbury Commons). It’s tough, but I still do it. It’s a hiking store. I like it.” He also said that he liked “Chicken nuggets and french fries at McDonald’s” and that his favorite player was Kobe Bryant.

DailyCandy has a great deal for Woodbury Commons shoppers! Check this out:

Hunka Bunka Burnin’ Fun
Tell the boss you have strep, play hookey, and head to Mohonk Mountain House for wintry antics. DailyCandy readers stay for $156 per person, per night, which includes b’fast and dins, 15 percent off one spa treatment per guest (the spa rocks), free room upgrade (if available), and coupons for Woodbury Common outlets (to ease the ride home). Stay Sunday-Thursday by April 30. Book online or mention DailyCandy if you call (800-772-6646).

GREAT post from Any of the Daily Andy on what is going on around Woodbury Commons. He writes:

Among the real outlets are: Tommy Bahama, where $110 shirts can be had for $25. Timberland, where wool sweaters run anywhere from $20 to $30 bucks. The sports outlets – Nike, Adidas, Reebok and Puma. They all offer great deals on sneakers and exercise clothes.

Well, that’s it for this week. See you next week!

Do you like to shop at Woodbury Commons? Let’s be honest, who doesn’t?! If you do, make sure you write it up and let me know and I will include you in my Blogging About Woodbury Commons weekly feature post.

Giorgio Armani is one of the most popular stores at Woodbury Commons Premium Outlet Stores. Giorgio Armani is the quintessential Italian fashion company. The company designs and manufactures products in several categories including fashion accessories, apparel, cosmetics, fragrances, home interiors, jewelry, eyewear and watches.

So, what’s going on at this fashion house? Here is some of the news from the past week:

In The 20 Most Expensive Celebrity Weddings, Sean points out that Giorgio Armani provided the wedding dress for Tom Cruise’s new wife Katie Holmes. In fact, little known fact, there were two wedding dresses he provided. Who needs two wedding dresses though?

Want to look like Scarlet Johansson? According to Veee from Beautyista and the Office Beast you can if you use Giorgio Armani’s Armani Silk lipstick in Shade 16 for an almost perfect match to her look.

According to this article from a Montana paper, there is a local consignment shop that sells all sorts of gently used designer fashions including those of Georgio Armani.

Have you seen Victoria Beckham’s new Armani underwear ads? Smoldering! Check out one great pic here. This article has a few more pics of our gal pal, inlcluding shots from a soviet fashion magazine.

Here is an amazing shopkeeper who has owned the same shop for 75 years and is still running it! It was pointed out in the article that he has been running the store for as long as Georgio Armani has been alive! Somehow looks at the store I don’t think he sells any Armani fashions though!

Kind of a fun blog post talking about Armani Cologne.

Armani accuses Dolce & Gabbana of copying the design of his quilted trouser for their autumn/winter collection. D&G has denied the accusation.

Finally, how cool would this be? A VIP shopping trip at Armani flagship store with you the only customer? That is what David Beckham recently got while shopping in Milan.

That’s it for the news at Giorgio Armani this week. See you at Giorgio Armani Woodbury Commons!

Doreen from The next 6 months of my life was going to go shopping at Woodbury Commons but let the weather get in the way! She writes, “Was planning to go to Woodbury Common Premium Outlet tomorrow…but according to the forecast, snow, sleet and ice is expected…and travel could be hazardous or impossible.”

Patti from PiNG’s Danish Adventures writes about her Christmas Eve, which sounds just about perfect to me:

On Christmas Eve we left NYC to head north to my parents and along the way we just had to make a stop at Woodbury Commons Outlets. The place is gigantic and I feared it would be extremely crowded but apparently the crowds were elsewhere as the outlet center was basically empty. The bargains were unreal and we stocked up on all kinds of new clothes, shoes, etc. There is something a bit ‘off’ in the world when one can purchase Ecco boots, from Denmark, at an outlet center in the US for approximately 1/3 of what you would pay for the same boot here in DK. I LOVE a good bargain!!

Leenya from What Would Leenya Do? wrote about her cousin Molly who recently beefed up her work wardrobe with 15 items including a new winter coat and 3 suit jackets. All for $300! Leenya had written about outlet malls being a sort of mirage in the desert of bargain shopping, but I think she has to agree now there are some amazing deals.

In a comment on this post, reader 60’s Chick reminded everyone that “she just bought 3 more pieces from Williams Sonoma that were 50% off. They have never had a sale like that on All Clad. The Emerill Ware was 40% off.”

I’ll admit I am not a fan of the title of his blog, but The Assimilated Negro did mention the Pumas he got at Woodbury Commons for $25 so I guess I have to give him the shout-out!

Jase from The Jase Chase knows what it is all about – buying gifts for yourself! He writes that:

After three trips to Woodbury Commons and multiple trips through New York City’s Fifth Ave and Soho, I’ve probably bought five times as much stuff for myself than all the presents I bought for others combined!

Miss Heidy from Chapter One has a great post on her Top 10 buys, of which at least one was bought at Woodbury Commons – the cutest Betsey Johnson 1950’s inspired denim playsuit she got for US$94.

Tasha of iTasha (going to put up videos like iCarly?) learns to never underestimate a mom as her mom bought her both a pair of pants and a sweater at Puma.

Well, that’s it for this week. See you next week!

Do you like to shop at Woodbury Commons? Let’s be honest, who doesn’t?! If you do, make sure you write it up and let me know and I will include you in my Blogging About Woodbury Commons weekly feature post.

Balenciaga is a fashion house founded by Cristóbal Balenciaga, a Spanish designer, born in the Basque Country. He had a reputation as a couturier of uncompromising standards and was referred to as “the master of us all” by Christian Dior. His bubble skirts and odd, feminine, yet ultra-modern shapes were trademarks of the house.

Today the brand is most famous for its line of motorcycle-inspired handbags, especially the famous “Lariat.” Balenciaga has four exclusive boutiques in the United States. One Balenciaga store is located on 22nd St in New York,NY. A second store is located in Los Angeles, CA on Melrose Avenue. Recently, a third store opened at the famous shopping center South Coast Plaza, in Costa Mesa, CA. This store is 1200 square feet and includes coffin-like inset displays. The New York and Los Angeles boutiques carry both men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, while the South Coast Plaza boutique carries only women’s clothing. The most recent store, located in Las Vegas inside Caesers Palace, carries only accessories.

Balenciaga Woodbury Commons is coming sometime in April, 2009. Follow Woodburycommons on Twitter to be the first to know!

While we do not yet know what special features the Woodbury Commons store will have, if it is anything like the other stores it will truly be amazing! Here is an additional description of each unique store:

The central concept of each Balenciaga store is a futuristic and luxurious environment, a landscape to wander through and discover. A geometric, graphic and organic atmosphere reigns in the stores, consistent with the collections developed by Nicolas Ghesquière. The stores feature a mix of natural, raw and artificial materials. The light changes in the artificial sky, giving an impression of climatic, seasonal and time changes — from sunrise to noon, from cloudy to sunny, a concept developed by Benoit Lalloz. White modular display structures, made of metallic lacquered poles, are placed throughout the landscape. Common elements of designs include the artificial “black asteroid” used as cash register, and the “iceberg” used as an accessory display.

The Paris flagship features a cave animated by asteroids and lit by sparkling colored lights, with an underground “pool passage”.

The New York flagship store picks up on the concept of interactive rocks and lightning, but within a much more raw environment reflective of the industrial character of the store’s 22nd Street location.

The Milan Balenciaga flagship is an unrivaled luxury experience in Milan: 400 square meters on two levels, with Indian gold marble paving stones in random geometric shapes. While keeping to the historic features of the building such as the wood painted ceiling, an innovative lighting system has been carefully elaborated, articulated around a metallic beam, inspired by space shuttle robotic arms, for the first floor. On the ground floor, the lighting is set up as to recreate a starlit sky. Both floors are connected by a futuristic metallic staircase.

The House of Balenciaga creates women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories, sold worldwide.

According to this post on Bloomberg, Giorgio Armani himself says that “he’ll keep control of his fashion company as long as he stays healthy.” That’s good news. I thought this quote about the economy was interesting: “It wasn’t about not having the money,” Armani said. “It’s a psychological issue. Nobody’s shopping. The recession is in full force and everybody in our sector is going to feel it, from Zara to Cartier.” Even the rich are holding back on spending money on designer fashions?

According to this story on Cityfile, Giorgio Armani is “moving ahead with his massive Fifth Avenue flagship, which he says will open on February 18th.” Armani says that opening the large store is “an act of faith toward the Americans and Fifth Avenue shoppers.”

Tony Blair knows how to shop in style! The former Prime Minister got a whole Armani store all by himself to do a little designer clothes shopping.

He spent several thousand pounds on men’s clothing from Armani’s top-of-the-range ‘black label’, including casual trousers and jackets but no suits. Blair is a smart shopper too, he got in on the first day of Armani’s sale and so he picked up items at up to a 50% discount.

The Burj Dubai is now the world’s tallest structure and according to this article Giorgio Armani is selling 144 apartments and penthouses above and below his first branded hotel in the building. That will surely fetch some serious moolah!

This comes from an article in New York Mag:

Giorgio Armani is appearing in ads in Italy to promote Prevention Guides, a new series of health books. The double-page spread depicts a beaming Armani shot against a gray backdrop holding one of the guides and framed by a message in capital letters that reads ‘Love Yourself.’

This guy says “Giorgio Armani is in town and he’s partying like it’s 1999; or in his case, 1959, when the dynamic designer would have been an even more limber 25-year-old.”

And finally, how can we write about Giorgio Armani and not point to this story which has an inspiring photo of the 74-old in a Speedo. Still holding his own!

That’s it for the news at Giorgio Armani this week. See you at Giorgio Armani Woodbury Commons!

Founded in 2003, BULGA is one of the fashion industries hottest and most consistent brands. Focusing on high quality handbags, BULGA has been featured regularly in the pages of Elle, Vogue, W and other well respected fashion magazines the world over.

BULGA is in high demand by celebrities as well as stylists and BULGA’s intense commitments to its products continues to attract new fans to its designer handbags daily, despite the price, which can be very high, often times over a thousand dollars. Consistent in its use of fine Italian leather and other high-end materials, BULGA has been recognized as a leader in the art of creating elegant, stylish and thoroughly modern handbags that feel entirely weightless. The BULGA name originates from ancient Latin and French, which signified a leather money bag or coin purse.

One of the things that BULGA prides itself on is that all of its products are designed and made in New York City by a team of esteemed designers and manufacturers. BULGA handbags have been seen carried by celebrities such as Jessica Simpson, Hillary Duff and Lindsay Lohan to name but a few.

The bag shown here is available on Endless.com and is a Bulga Besame Shoulder Bag. Gorgeous form follows sensible function in this spectacular shoulder bag. The rich leather upper features a pocket with a twist lock that secures a curvy flap. The bag’s top curves in the middle allowing for the bag’s short straps to fit nicely in the hand or on the shoulder. Genius and fashion-forward design. We wouldn’t expect any less from Bulga.

Jenni from Jenni in America managed to get out to Woodbury Commons despite an ice storm that left her friend’s mom’s street looking like a bomb hit. Scary!

Heidi from Life in Pink posts a picture of a stunning little dress, hoping she can find it at Woodburycommons. Hopefully she’ll find it when she is shopping on vacation but if not I am sure she will find some other great designer dress and discount prices.

Oda posts her Tweets online, which is cool. This week she tweeted that she “is finally heading home from Woodbury Commons. We found some pretty good deals for us and others.” Speaking of Twitter, be sure to follow Woodbury Commons on Twitter!

Pamelaa-Suee (do you really need those xtra vowels??!) sounds excited to buy qauds and pigments at CCO Woodbury Commons.

Zanade calls Woodbury Commons boring! She says she has a friend named Drama who likes to take long boring trips to these warehouse looking spots such as Woodbury Commons on Black Friday. Now I beg to differ, but The Commons does not look like a warehouse!

Finally, feles-dormiens writes in her LiveJournal:

so we all headed to Woodbury Common a huge factory outlet place for a day. it was insane there- not only in terms of the crowd (there were queuing barriers outside the Coach Store because too many people were in the shop) but also in the discounts! I saw a pussy bow blouse at Escada going for US$69. Its original prices was US$690! Prada too had a Last Chance Rack which had skirts with a RRP price of US$1000 odd down to US$80!!! did i buy stuff- of course i did. ahahha…

Now that sounds like a good shopping trip!

Well, that’s it for this week. See you next week!

Do you like to shop at Woodbury Commons? Let’s be honest, who doesn’t?! If you do, make sure you write it up and let me know and I will include you in my Blogging About Woodbury Commons weekly feature post.

Jimmy Choo is one of the most popular stores at Woodbury Commons Premium Outlet Stores. These shoes usually retail for hundreds if not thousands of dollars and are the current “in” shoe for the entertainment community. For the girl looking to be cool and trendy, there is nothing like a pair of Jimmy Choo Shoes. Match your Jimmy Choo designer shoe with a Jimmy Choo designer handbag and you have a killer look!

So, what’s going on at this fashion house? Here is some of the news from the past week:

Jimmy Choo makes the Canberra Times in Makeover in Woden:

I went to meet Samantha West. She’s a fabulous 40-something who despairs that one of her teenage daughters has a penchant for pink skull embellished accessories. West is trim, tanned and well-coiffed. She was dressed casually but impeccably. She was also very approachable. I once met a stylist who wore a giraffe print wrap dress, high heels, plenty of make up and toted a Jimmy Choo handbag – I was a little afraid to talk to her.

Winter House in Russia features a cool picture with shoes made out of ice. But are they Jimmy Choo?

Clever Girl mentions Jimmy Choo:

Admittedly, I am a shopper. I see, I like, and I buy.

Unless I can’t afford it, of course. Then I see, I like, and I cry. So if you’re at the mall someday, and you see a girl sniffling outside of Jimmy Choo? Yeah, that’s probably me.

This writer gave someone a compliment about their shoes and she reacted as if she had been wearing Jimmy Choo shoes.

This commentary mentions they are frugal:

I always considered myself financially responsible because I don’t own one designer bag. I wouldn’t know a Jimmy Choo shoe if it hit me. I’ve realized of late that those “sacrifices” mean little. In fact, they aren’t sacrifices for me at all.

This article says that Jimmy Choo Shoes are going for 50% off. Half off Jimmy Choo? Sign me up!

Did you know that one of Jimmy Choo foudner Tamaa Melon’s favorite places to shop are Jeffrey New York (contemporary cool collections), What Goes Around Comes Around (a vintage feast), and Bergdorf Goodman (uptown, upscale luxury). Very nice selection! But how about Jimmy Choo Woodbury Commons, Tamara?

That’s it for the news at Jimmy Choo this week. See you at Jimmy Choo Woodbury Commons!

Giorgio gets a mention in this article:

And Vilhem knew this, of course.. for his eyes were elsewhere. Perhaps they were on changing the world, or Georgio Armani attending his birthday celebrations. For soon he would walk again, and soon he would be asleep again. But not without his kind act of charity, of mercy. Of unveiling his true self, his mythical tail, and affinity for milk. Not without calling for an end to this control, and rebelling against the morning star who sits at the head of his family’s tabel. Not without leaving his mark on this world.

This article talks about buying fashion clothes at Goodwill. I would prefer they shop at Woodbury Commons:

“I’ve got these Georgio Armani pants. Retail price is $725. But at Goodwill, they’re $15. I have these Dolce Gabbana pants. Never been worn. They retail at $300. But at Goodwill, they’re $15. I’ve got these Kaki pants. They retail in the store at $40. But at Goodwill, they’re $15.”

A Giorgio Armani wedding dress is mentioned here:

In this heartfelt tale of undying love, Camille follows the journey of two lost souls who learn the true meaning of love under the most unlikely of circumstances. With stunning cinematography and an incredible wardrobe showcase, including a one-off Georgio Armani wedding dress, Sienna Miller shines as Camille in this delightfully twisted story about love, life and unexpected occurrences.

How about this mention in The 20 Most Expensive Celebrity Weddings: “Tom Cruise secured his dear friend Georgio Armani to design Katie Holmes’ gowns (there were two).”

Armani perfume mentioned here: “I bought the Georgio Armani Diamond collection’s purfume and hate it. It’s not my type and smells trashy.” So for those of you want to smell trashy you know whose perfume to buy!

Shop Till You Drop writes about a shopping trip to Pentagon Center:

We split up and shopped our socks off for a few hours and Christmas (Holiday) bargains were had by all. The Pentagon Centre is a 4 storey shopping complex with Macy’s, Nordstrom and any other name brand store you could imagine, eg Georgio Armani and so on.

And finally, we learn that every in Thailand is trying to sell you an Armani suit:

Streets are crammed with shops and food vendors, and one of the main selling items in Thailand that I noticed was custom made suits. Everywehre you go someone is offering to make you a Georgio Armani suit
