Well, it looks like Woop Guy has finally hit the bigtime... and about freakin' time, too!

Malibu-sponsored Yahoo! UK site, "Get Your Island On", a weekly show hosted by English funny man Tom Price featuring random silliness from around the web, has done an episode featuring my woops (and my equine drive-thru video).

Beach Woop

Last year I went to the beach and said "woop".

The ocean and all of the other people were a bit noisy so the woop didn't come out too loud. Also, since then I've learnt to woop a lot louder. I might have to see if I can improve on this one this summer.

(Note to self: do some pushups!)

So I was at the PSC graduation ceremony last night and I was chatting with Derren Lee. He mentioned what a huge fan he was of woopguy (OK, I'm exaggerating... so sue me!), so it occurred to me that it might be a perfect opportunity to do a new woop... since it's been a little while.

Still...only seven comments so far? It's early days I guess. It only took me this long to comment because it took so damn long to read the thing!

Yes, it is "deliberately provocative"; yes, it is polarizing... just like good, thought-provoking writing should be. You don't even have to agree with all of it (although it's so "all-or-nothing" it's kind of difficult to disagree with some of it without disagreeing with all of it.

Anyway, if you're already non-religious you may enjoy Steve's rant. If you're religious, well... I dare you to read it. Although I'm not sure there's much point.

Oh... and there's a new "woop" coming very soon indeed. Thanks for your patience.

Here is a woop I did up in an office building on Melbourne's Collins Street. The view is to the South-West, so you can see Federation Square, the Southbank Precinct, The Arts Centre, and the Eureka building.

My first airborne woop, from the front cockpit of a Tiger Moth. Although the woop itself sounds pretty quiet, it's actually normal volume - but it's somewhat drowned out by the engine and wind noise.
