The best SEO plugin for WordPress!

You already know WordPress can work not only as a blogging tool but also as a CMS (Content Management System), being very efficient when speaking of SEO. Even though, there are some SEO plugins to help you when you’re indexing your content in search engines. One of the most popular SEO plugins (which I was using before) is All In One SEO. At this moment, I think there is a better and more complete SEO plugin for WordPress: Yoast’s WordPress SEO.

To me, one of the most interesting WordPress SEO features is related to the possibility to configure post titles and descriptions that will appear in search engines. This functionality is common to almost all SEO plugins, but WordPress SEO allows us to see “real-time” how the description will appear in search engines and we can check if we are including our keywords (designed by us in Focus Keyword section). At the same time, we can see if we are using all the space available that search engines reserve for our descriptions

After we choose keywords for our post, WordPress SEO gives us a list of other possible keywords that could be relevant for the post we are writing. Not only is good for SEO, it helps creating content for your post. Usually, almost all Related Keywords proposed are interesting for the content of our post.

Another WordPress SEO by Yoast interesting functionality is the Page Analysis section. At this section, without leaving the page where we write our post, we have access to all information about what needs to be reviewed. Keywords in our content, URL’s, title’s, images, links, your goal is to have the most green recomendations possible.

Wordpress SEO - Page Analysis

We know almost all aspects that can affect the indexation of our post, but the truth is that we can easily forget some of those aspects while we write a post. With this page analysis, we easily see what is still missing to complete and publish a good and search engine oriented post.

Several WordPress plugins in one

Another good funcionality in WordPress SEO by Yoast, it allows us to replace several other plugins! We can create a XML Sitemap that notifies the 4 most popular search engines and allows to eliminate any other plugin we might have to do it. We have an option to activate an images Sitemap.

Another funcionality is related to our RSS Feed. WordPress SEO allows to inject HTML code before and after our posts in our rss feed. We can use it to include banners or links after our post linking to our post or blog. This funcionality replaces RSS Footer, which many of you might be using to include information, links or advertisements in your rss feeds.

Best SEO Plugin For WordPress

Conclusion: WordPress SEO by Yoast is the best WordPress SEO plugin. Allows plenty of optimization options and has so many functionalities that replaces other plugins we might be using.

Are you using any SEO plugin in your WordPress blog? Did you already knew WordPress SEO? Are you planning to use it?
