With Major Lazer and La Roux both having some big commercial success this year, and Gucci Mane recently being released from prison.. of course this is the perfect time to hear all three together! I’m not usually a Gucci Mane guy, but I’m a sucker for his part on the song. Also, I love that Major Lazer used the “Lemonade” beat when mashing up the songs.

Look I know this is tagged up, but that’s only because there is no other “real” version out there without tags. The one version without the “Evil Empire” tags is only about half the song, so there’s really no point of posting it. As of now, the only people with the originals are Drake’s people and NMC.

Lately, Jay has just been slaughtering his verses. Here he gives Drake some of that “Black Album” Hova flow. By far the stand-out line of this verse has got to be “Triple entendre, don’t even ask me how.. Con Edison flow I’m connected to a higher power“. On the surface it looks simple, but that’s some lyrical genius right there.  Go google it or something if you can’t understand what it means.

Drake ft. Jay-Z – “Light Up”

WOTM has this version of “Miss Me” literally hot off the presses. It’s the CDQ, explicit version.. and I’m telling you so that you don’t have to go around and search some more. The song’s been floating around for a while, sometimes with just the Drake verse, then both verses with a radio rip, then both verses as a CDQ clean version, but we finally got the CDQ explicit version.

Drake goes in on this one harrrd. Lil Wayne’s got a nice verse on this too, I’m guessing this is one of his last verses before going to prison.. “I be gone ’till November, but I ain’t trippin’ I know Drizzy gone kill ’em”.

A new leak off of Thank Me Later just surfaced a little while ago called “Unforgettable” featuring Young Jeezy. I’ve been talking about Drake a lot on the posts, so I want to take this one to talk about Jeezy.

First off, I’m confused now.. is it Jeezy or is it still Young Jeezy? Cause a little while ago he “officially” changed it to Jeezy, but I’m thinking maybe he just forgot or something?.. cause the latest track artwork has gone back to “Young Jeezy”. Personally, Jeezy sounds better, that’s what everyone calls him anyways.

Now on to the song. I’m really vibing out to this one, and once again I wanna talk about Jeezy’s presence on the track. He brings that swagger that I really think creates a balance on this song with Drake. Boi-1Da and 40, the producers of the song, really did a great job sampling some classic Aaliyah. It’s one of those tracks you wanna cruise around to.

Drake feat. Young Jeezy – Unforgettable

My love for Alicia Keys’ music is quite strong. She just always makes beautiful music, and I think anyone in their right mind would not disagree.

Drake jumps on the song and delivers a verse for a brand new remix to Alicia’s latest hit, which apparently he also co-wrote. I’m also glad he recently confirmed that she will be on his debut LP, Thank Me Later, which drops June 15th.

Xaphoon always has a crazy sound and can pretty much make anything sound great. For those of you that don’t know, Xaphoon Jones is the producer behind all the Chiddy Bang songs that you hear. I’m always on the look out for some Xaphoon ’cause the man’s music is great.. and besides, I just love saying Xaphoon.
