Top 5 Reasons Your Google Adsense Account Not Getting Approved

2016-08-24T22:52:00.000-07:00

When it comes to monetization of your websites or blogs for generating revenue; Google AdSense is always the first choice being a publisher as no other competitor enables a website or blog owner to earn money even closer to what one can earn by placing Google AdSense ads. Google has undoubtedly the best CPC and RPM statistics and that’s the reason that hundreds of thousands of websites on internet are relying on Google for earning ads based money.

The most challenging step that website or blog owners face is to get their AdSense account approved by Google. Unlike some other google alternates; Google AdSense has quite streamlined and somewhat strict policies which must be adhered in order to get Google AdSense account approved.

In this post; I am going to talk about 5 top reasons for your application not getting approved by Google for AdSense.

Insufficient Content

You were too eager to start earning money from your website or blog that you didn’t bother even to add enough content before applying for an AdSense account.

Google doesn’t want to ditch its advertising clients by getting their ads placed in sites without enough content, sufficient traffic and proper user engagement.

Make sure that your site has enough content (preferably dozens of posts/pages) before you even think of applying for a AdSense account.

Remember, getting rejected is more painful than waiting for a right time to apply!!

Invalid Content

Google cares not only about quantity of content but also the quality of the content. A website full of crap, non-original and irrelevant garbage won’t appeal anyone and so is the case with Google AdSense reviewer. If you just copied/stolen content from other sites or just added dummy content and applied for an AdSense account; you are going to be rejected for sure.

Before applying for Google AdSense account make sure that your site or blog has quality content which is relevant, accurate, original and legal. Any pornographic content if found on your site; you will get rejected.

Site Age

Google has set website age limit for some countries including China and India. If you are applying for AdSense account from these countries; your website or blog should have at-least 6 months old.

Creating a blog overnight; adding some quick content and then trying to get AdSense approved for your; won’t be possible. Give ample time to your site/blog before jumping there. Spend time adding content and improving design.

Inappropriate design

When Google team will be reviewing your site for AdSense approval; they won’t bother to accept your application if your site is not easily navigable, if your content is not properly structured and if your design is not user-friendly.

Make sure that you used a nice, eye catching and user friendly template/theme for your site and structure your content in a professional manner.

Ensure that your site has proper menus, SiteMap, Contact & About pages etc.

Unsupported Language

As per Google AdSense policies; you can place ads on the websites in a set of language only. Make sure that your site or blog is in a supported language otherwise your application will get rejected.

Refer to the table below for the list of adsense supported languages:

Why My Blog is Not Earning Money from Adsense?

2015-10-30T01:57:00.000-07:00

In a hope to earn dollars; many people start their blogging journey and dream to be a millionaire all of a sudden with minimal (or possibly no) effort in a magical way. However, a large chunk of such people fail to earn what they thought from their blogs through Google AdSense or any other ads related money making stream and become a part of hopeless army of internet.

What are the reasons for a blog failing to make any money? Why some bloggers fly in the skies but some others fail even to creep on earth? In this post; I am going to talk about some of the key reasons for a blog failing to earn money through Adsense.

Lack of Consistency

The biggest reason of failure of any blog in reaching to a level where it can generate revenue is the lack of consistency at the blogger side.

Remember that Rome was not built in a day. Same way; If a blogger thinks that overnight his blog with just a handful of posts will become a source of attraction for the entire world; that’s nothing but a mad’s dream.

The biggest secret of successful blogging is consistency and continuity in your blog postings. Blogs with regular updates not only become a prime choice of visitors but also manage to gain a good reputation (in terms of ranking) in the search engines which results in a grown stream of traffic from organic, direct as well as referral means.

Whatever is the subject area you are blogging in; write on different ideas revolving around it with a focus on the keywords that you are targeting.

Your blog should be a mix of a variety of content types to attract people with varying tastes. It should have text based posts as well as relevant pictures, videos etc. so that It becomes a strong ground on the subject area.

If you don’t work consistently on your blog and your blog becomes dormant; you will not only lose search engines ranking but also the trust of your blog visitors as no one likes out-dated stuff.

A Poor Idea

What you are blogging about matters. The idea at which your blog is based needs to be strong; relevant; innovative and catchy. Many people start a blog on some idea which doesn’t have a large potential visitor base and they end up getting very less traffic and fail to earn any money from the blog. Similarly; many people start blogging on some very generic idea where some major giants are already blogging and they fail to compete with such big names and end up like the voice of a kid in a crowd.

When deciding an idea for your blog; following questions are important:

How unique is the idea?
Who are the competitors already blogging on same idea?
How to differentiate from the competitors?
What is the niche? And what are futures prospects in that niche area?
Who are the target audiences? Global or some region specific?

If you are targeting some specific region; keep this in mind that Adsense earnings will greatly depend on the region from where your blog is getting the traffic as Google displays ads to the visitors based on their interest and locality. Blogs targeting US, Europe audiences manage to earn more than those which target some third world countries.

Wrong Placement of Ads

Proper structuring of your blog and a clever approach for placement of Ads is crucial to get maximum clicks and impressions for your ads. Many people fail to earn good enough money from their blogs despite the fact that they have high traffic just because of wrong placement of Ads.

Ads must be placed in prominent locations in such a way that they don’t affect the readability of the blog but still manage to gain clicks.

Types of Ads to be placed in your blog are also important. A good mix of different ad types (e.g. leaderboard, Box ads, Link Ads etc.) should be considered keeping in mind the theme of your blog.

When there are hundreds (and sometimes thousands) of buyers bidding on a product being sold; the game goes in the hands of the seller and he sells it to the best possible rate. In a similar way, when someone is looking to outsource his work; he will try to find the most efficient and optimal resource for his job.
On freelancing sites; one post to a hundred candidates can be easily observed when you see number of bids to any project. Trend of working from home as a freelancer has increased manifold in the past few years due to various factors including time convenience, traditional job market saturation and cost effectiveness.
When there are thousands of people like you having their profiles on freelancing sites and are ready to offer their services to the clients at cheaper rates then what you need to do to differentiate and to make yourself shine in the pebbles?
Your profile is the actual face of you that your potential employers on freelancing sites are going to see. A good profile is the key to win good projects. What's a good profile and what are the key things to consider when creating a profile on freelancing sites? In this post, I am going to cover this for you.

Never keep your Freelancing Profile Incomplete:

If you can't complete your profile how can you complete the projects assigned to you!! When a potential employer goes through your profile and finds that It has been created just in a rush and is incomplete; he will simply consider you a non-serious freelancer who can't spend time to market himself even.

Regularly Update Your Freelancing Profile:

Your profile on freelancing sites should be regularly updated and if you think to sustain in the world of freelancing, update your profile the same way as you take care of your face and body. All your skills should be listed properly in the profile. If you have learnt some new technologies or some new skills have been added to your skill set, don't forget to add those. Any professional certifications that you have completed should also be added regularly in your profile.

Avoid adding Irrelevant Content to Your Profile:

Don't try to list those skills for which you are not confident enough to work practically. Remember that no one is a universal talent and there is a limit to the skill set that a person can has. So if your profile has a list of skills from very diverse areas then the employer will get confused about you. You must have a area of specialization and your skills listing should revolve around that. If you are a Android developer; having skills like article writing, SEO and Link Building don't make a sense on your profile.

Add Picture/Logo and Project Portfolio to your Profile:

Its better to have a profile picture or a logo as well. Being a professional, don't put such a picture in your freelancing profile which depicts you as a non-serious or immature lad.
Mention of your LinkedIn profile, details of your project portfolio and clear description of your past experience will add value to your profile.

How to Avoid Bad Rating in VWorker?

2012-04-16T03:39:00.000-07:00

In Freelancing sites like VWorker (formerly RentACoder), workers are judged and evaluated based on a feedback/rating model where employers rate the employees for each project they work on. The aggregate of all the ratings given to an employee (freelancer) determines how organized, professional and efficient an employee is. Most of the employers choose those freelancers who possess strong rating and a good feedback on their past projects.

Getting good rating on VWorker like sites is a trick and some workers fail to get good ratings and feedback even after doing good work. Here are some very important and useful tips for online workers who work on sites like VWorker:

Remember that you communication with the employer matters a lot. Always make sure that you understand all the project details before starting work on it. This will make sure that your deliverable meets the requirements and isn't something which may cause some conflict between you and your employer. Projects which end with a conflict and arbitration often lead to a poor rating.
Make sure that you take a good care of tmelines. If you fail to deliver in time, chances are that your employer will rate you poorly and also won't be giving you any future projects.
Always do a very organized and strong effort estimation so that you know very well how much project is going to cost and how much time its going to take. If you start blaming about low income or low budget after winning a project, employer won't entertain you and will rate you poor.
Remember, if you complete one project with an employer on VWorker like sites, chances are that he or she will award you more projects. However, it has been observed that if for any reasons you don't accept a new project from the employer, he may rate you poor for the project which you have completed. In such cases, of course you can't do anything except requesting him not to rate you poor for the work which you have done prior.
Never opt for tasks which you can't do. Always be in your professional and skill limits. Bid on only those projects which are easily manageable for you.

Top Rules of online Work

2011-11-30T08:45:00.000-08:00

No matter what kind of projects you do online to earn money, it's important to keep a few rules of online work in your mind to avoid any problems and to keep on working smoothly. Working online is easy in terms of time management, location independence and freedom, but it's also a bit more tricky and prone to frauds. One need to be extra careful and smart while working online. Here are top rules of working online:

While online work, never share your personal information with any person. Avoid extra trust on any one. I know a friend who lost control of all his websites just because he trusted a online team worker.
While working on projects online, never hesitate to ask questions and to clarify requirements. Remember that the key of success in online work is a "good work". If you perform great in a project, you will get more project and if you don't, one thing is sure that you will lose at least one great employer.
Never trust an employer so much that you lose whole of your earning. Once your earnings reach to a certain level; say $100, ask your employer to send it to you. One of my friends had extra ordinary trust on an online employer. His earnings kept on accumulated with the employer till it reached to $1000. Now when he asked employer to pay, all of a sudden, employer disappeared and didn't respond. He kept on mailing but employer didn't respond and hence he lost a big chunk of earning!!!
Although you are your own boss when working online, it's important to have a strong self control. Manage your time and resources in such a way that you don't fall in any delays for project deliverable.
Never try to jump into such projects which you can't do easily. It's better to do less than doing wrong.
Key to success in online jobs is a strong collaboration and link building. Once you have done some work with an employer, keep his contact details saved. Keep him in contact in future so that for any future work, he considers you again.

Online Work and Possible Frauds

2011-11-03T05:06:00.000-07:00

A friend of mine managed to win some projects online on a translation site in English, Urdu language pair and he was very happy with the agreed rate and volume of work. The employer mentioned in his term that payment will be made after thirty days of invoicing. My friend agreed on this and started working online on his translation and transcribing tasks with full dedication and hard work. He started doing work by meeting all deadlines and by fulfilling all the requirements of the employer. He became happier and happier as every day he started getting new tasks and calculations made at his own side where showing a constant accumulations of his earnings.

Twenty five days, after the start of working relationship with the employer, his payable earnings reached to 600 US Dollars and I could see a satisfaction and a smile on the face of my friend when discussing his work with me. After all, he deserved to be happy and smiling as it was a kind of job he always looked for. Working from home online on projects which offer good return is something which can make any one happy.

But alas, a sad thing happened with him which shattered all his hopes!!! Employer stopped all communication with him all of a sudden and broke the relationship without paying all the money that my friend had potentially earned!! He mailed him again and again, for long time but all in vain. Employer got his work completed and he just took the benefit of the distant working mode and slipped away. What a poor worker can do in such a situation :( Nothing at all as all such relationships are made just on the basis of trust and nothing else. No legal agreements and no formal bindings!!!

So, dear readers, If you are thinking of working online on projects like translation projects or any other type of projects, beware of such cheaters. Opt for such mediums which can assure you a payment for the work you do. Freelancing sites like vWorker, ODesk etc are the best way to avoid such frauds in online work. In these freelancing sites, Escrow accounts are maintained in which all project amount is submitted by the employer and it's the job of this third party (freelancing site) to pay to the worker once he or she has done the agreed work.

So, do work online and earn money but stay safe by using proper channels and proper mechanism. Where there are opportunities, are also associated risks and frauds. So be smart and don't fall in the tricks of such cheaters.

If you want to earn money online by winning projects on freelancing sites and instead of working in traditional brick and mortar organizations under strict organizational rules, then continue reading this post. Here I am sharing 5 golden tips for freelancers to win projects and earn money online from freelancing sites like VWorker, Freelancer, Elance, Odesk etc.

5 Tips for Freelancers to Win Projects and Earn Money Online:

Create a perfect, fully complete and accurate profile/resume on the freelancing site where you want to bid on the projects. Clearly mention your skills, your portfolio, your education and any recommendations you got. Remember that becomign prominent on freelancing sites and getting an edge over competitors (other bidders) is just like marketing a product in a highly competitive market.
Be clear and precise in your bids. When you bid on a project, don't use generic bid statements, rather expalin clearly why the project should be assigned to you? How your skills match with the project requirements? Explain clearly if you have done similar projects before and any other information that's important for the project.
Neither bid so high amount nor very low. Often people will suggest you to bid very low but I won't. If you bid too low, employer will think about you that you aren't capable enough and just want to grab project on low rate basis. And if you bid higher than average, employer will be definitely looking on other people's bid and will decide the one which best suits to his budget and requirements. So always bid a moderate amount.
If you win any project, always do your best to perfom 100 percent. If you do a perfect job on a project, chances are that you will get more projects from the same employer and hence you will be able to earn more money and reputation. When you do a perfect job on a project on freelancing sites like VWorker, you also get excellent rating from the employer for that project. Future winning of your project, greatly depends upon your ratings.
Last but not least, never loose hopes even if your bids are declined. It always takes some time to get strong feet on the land of freelancing. Don't expect to earn money online by freelaning projects on the very same day you start bidding. Sometimes, it may take even weeks and months to get first project. But if you are determined and paitent enough, you will be able to earn huge money online and become a successful freelancer.

Freelancers in Pakistan--How to get money?

2011-09-11T06:12:00.000-07:00

Earning money by working online has become so popular now a day and people with any level of skills and with any kind of skills, prefer to earn some extra cash by working online from home. In the countries with low currency value like Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Phillipines and different other countries of Asia and Africa, dollar rate is reasonably higher and so professionals and students of these countries can earn (and are earning) a huge money through freelancing sites like VWorker, Freelancer, Elance, ODesk etc.

The biggest problem with the freelancers of Pakistan is that Paypal doesn't work in Pakistan and so they feel it quite difficult to find some cost effective and secure way to get their earnings. But don't worry folks, this post is being written to help you in finding alternatives to Paypal in Pakistan.

Western Union is the first alternative that you can use and can get your payments in your hand within no time. You don't even need any bank account to get your money through Western Union. Below are the steps to get money through Western Union:

Paypal Alternative 1: Western Union:

Ask Your money sender to send you money through Western Union. In your case, select Western Union option when choosing Payment option on Freelancing site you are working. Provide your Full Name (It should match your name on CNIC), your address and your National Identity (CNIC).
Your sender will use the above provided information and will dispatch money to you. Western Union will provide a MTCN (Money Transfer Control Number) to the money sender which will be then shared with you by the money sender. It will be a 4 digt Number that only you and your sender will be knowing.
Once the sender has shared MTCN number with you, you can go to any nearest Western Union Agent and ask for your money. Before going to an agent, it's always good to verify from Western Union site as well where you can track the money transfer status by just entering the MTCN number.
Once you have approached WU agent, he will ask you to fill a simple form with information like MTCN number, sender's Name/Address, your name, contact number etc and your signature. He will also demand a photo copy of your Identity card and will also look into your original ID card to verify it.
Once, agent has taken form from you and verified everything, he will be giving money to you sent by the freelancing site. Remember that Western Union will give you money in your local currency. i.e. Western Union converts the currency to your local currency before making payments.
Typically Western Union charges $15 for payments of amount 120 dollars or less. You can get details from Western Union site about charges for any amount of money transacted through Western Union.

Isn't it simple? Yes, it will take you just five minutes or so in Western Union Agent's office and money will be in your hand.

PayPal Alternative 2: Moneybookers:

If you have a bank account with any bank like Standard Chartered Bank, Silk Bank, UBL or any bank that support online transactions, Moneybookers is the best and most cost effective alternative to Paypal in Pakistan. You just need to sign up with Moneybookers, link your Moneybookers account with your bank account and then you are done!! Any payments that will come in your Moneybookers account, can be transferred to your bank account with just a few clicks. The best thing about money bookers is that it doesn't cost you much for it's services. Moneybooker charges just 2 dollars for each transactions which is very low compared to high charges of Western Union. Transferring from your MB account to your bank account may take some time depending upon the bank you are transferring. For Standard Chartered Bank, it took me 2 days to complete all transfer process. Luckily, SCB, didn't charge any more money on this transaction, so 2 dollars is the total money charged to you for transaction of any amount.
